20 An Absent Couple

The sun of the second morning rose on the horizon, illuminating the whole island. It was almost 11:00 AM, everyone was having breakfast at the inn, with the exception of two people. One of the students in the restaurant noticed this.

"Hmm?" A curious yet evil mutter came out from Kokichi's mouth. "I wonder where that pair could be?" He raised his volume to attract someone's attention.

"Who are you talking about Oma-kun?" Korekiyo approached Kokichi curiously. With this Kokichi's plan set in motion.

"You know, I'm talking about that failure of an astronaut and the assassin" Kokichi loved making fun of others in his own way, and this was a perfect opportunity to put both of them on the spot.

"So, Momota and Harukawa, am I right?" Korekiyo looked at Kokichi as to confirm his guess. Kokichi nodded.

"Nyeh? Maki hasn't shown up yet?" Himiko joined the conversation the pair was having. "Do guys know where she could be?" Himiko asked both Korekiyo and Kokichi.

"I haven't seen Harukawa around, and also I haven't seen Kaito either. Hmm? What could this mean?" Kokichi was slowly adding wood to the fire, trying to attract more and more people in the restaurant. Korekiyo instantly noticed Kokichi's obvious behavior, but his curiosity made him play along with Kokichi's act.

"AH! Maki all alone with a degenerate male!! This is really bad!" Tenko's sudden presence surprised Himiko. "Let's go Himiko! We need to find her before that monster lay hands on her!"

"Nyeh, I'm too tired to look around," Himiko said tiredly.

"But we just woke up!" Tenko said, surprised by Himiko's laziness.

"Instead of running around aimlessly, we should ask Kaede or Shuichi" Korekiyo proposed after Himiko's and Tenko's usual gag.

"That's not a bad idea, but I have a better one. Let's just ask their roommates." Kokichi was manipulating everyone to reveal a possible embarrassing secret from the couple. Kokichi wanted to put both of them in a hard spot, just for fun. Their first objective was just sitting across the room. The group approached the small table, in which a finely mannered girl was enjoying her breakfast.

"Hey, Mom! We have some quick questions for you!" Kokichi greeted Kirumi in the worst possible way.

"I believe I told you, I do not like to be called Mom" Kirumi put her fork down, stood up from her seat, and regained her manners. "How can I be of your assistance?" Kirumi gave a small bow to the group gathered around her.

"Do you know where Kaito might be? We have been waiting for him for a long time now, you should know what he is up to right?" Kokichi asked Kirumi while holding a malicious grin on his face, his intentions were as clear as water.

"I'm sorry I do not possess any information on Maste… Ahem ahem, I mean Momota-kun's whereabouts" Kirumi was conscious of her lie, but she didn't have any regrets. However, Kirumi's maid etiquette dictates that she should stay loyal to her master, despite the situation she could be involved. "Now if you'll excuse me" Kirumi left the group and hurriedly approached Gonta, who was grabbing some fruits from the bar. Kirumi asked him if they could talk in private and left the restaurant. Kirumi and the group knew full well that Gonta would not be capable of lying. With this Kirumi was one step ahead and pulled Gonta out of Kokichi's game.

"If you were to ask a hot beauty like me, I would say that pair is just fucking like pigs in someone's cabin!" Miu's obscene but expected commentary finally arrived. "I bet they are still grinding each other in bed, with their bodies fully ex-"

"Agh, could you shut up cum dumpster, I'm trying to think over here!" Miu's imagination was about to go loose, until Kokichi's favorable interruption.

"EEK!" Miu's confidence crumbled faster than any of her sexual fantasies.

"But maybe you do have a point" Kokichi added on top of his insult. "Maybe they could've spent the night together" Kokichi's guess could not be more accurate. He started to connect the dots relating to Kirumi's attitude and her actions. Surely the roommates have to be the accomplices, and they are just covering Maki's and Kaito's whereabouts. "He he, this is getting more interesting" Kokichi muttered to himself while giving a small evil laugh.

"How about we check their cabins? That should be the fastest and easier way to find them" Kokichi was surprised with Korekiyo's idea, it was as if he and Kokichi were interested in how these events turn out.

"Then let's hurry! I can't let poor Maki unprotected any longer!" Tenko's patience was reaching its limit.

"Nyeh…What a pain…" Himiko was clearly not on the same channel as everyone else.

"Come on! Let's catch these dirty pigs red-handed!" Miu said trying to motivate anyone in the worst possible way.

"Well Kaito, be prepared to have your little romance exposed, He He" After letting out a small evil grin, Kokichi led the curious group towards Kaito's cabin. "This ought to be interesting"
