12 A Night With You

Shuichi found himself gazing at the ceiling laying down comfortably in a full-size bed. The bed was big enough for two people to sleep on it, however, they wouldn't have that much free space. Maybe each of them could sleep on their respective side of the bed. That is what Shuichi thought, but his actual situation was nothing of the sort while being buried in the bed covers, Shuichi could feel a breath near his neck.

Kaede hugged Shuichi from a side position leaving his face near Shuichi's upper chest and the lower part of his neck. Shuichi could not sleep as seeing how everything was transpiring, he was too embarrassed to sleep, and would not miss the opportunity to burn this scenario in his head.

"You too can't sleep huh?" Shuichi felt how Kaede's mouth moved in his chest.

"You startled me! I thought you were asleep all this time" Shuichi answered.

"Well… I wouldn't waste a moment… like this one… besides I have all night to sleep…" Kaede's eyes were shining as Shuichi looked down at her. "So, tell me Shuichi… When did it all begin?" Curiosity could be seen in Kaede as she asked Shuichi.

"Began what?", "You know… falling for me…" Kaede answered as she tried to make Shuichi a little more embarrassed with her question.

"Umm well… I couldn't say for sure, I… just started feeling it…" Shuichi trying to shrug away the question with a common 'I'm not sure' answer.

"Come on…If you tell me… I'll tell you…" Kaede teased Shuichi a bit to get him to answer her question.

"Well if I had to say… Maybe right before Rantaro's murder…When we were talking in the classroom" Shuichi's face changed, he did not seem embarrassed as he reminisced this. "I was all stressed out and insecure, but you calmed me down and made me feel sure about myself, even in the class trial you made sure that I regain confidence in myself and my decisions. And when I saw all of that happened, I just wished that I could be with someone like you for the rest of my life. Having someone to support me when I'm feeling down and making me into a better person in the progress, that is one of the reasons why I fell in love with you." When Shuichi glanced back down to where Kaede was, he noticed her face was buried in Shuichi's chest and could feel that heat from it as if she was blushing so much.

"Ahem ahem… now that I built up the courage to tell you, it's your turn to tell me, don't you think?" Shuichi cleared his throat and demanded his reward.

"I told you that I will tell you, but I didn't tell you when," Shuichi let out a small laugh

"Heh heh, that is not fair you know…?"

"It'll be a surprise" Kaede answered Shuichi.

"Well how about we get to sleep now?" Kaede proposed to Shuichi as she got off from Shuichi's body and crawled to the other side of the bed. "We will certainly need all of our energy for tomorrow don't you think?" Kaede laid in the bed sideways looking in the opposite direction from where Shuichi's body was.

"Yeah, maybe we should just get to sleep" Shuichi agreed to Kaede's idea. "But…before we do that…" As soon as Kaede heard these words she felt how two arms surrounded her body and how Shuichi started to close space between her back and his front body. "Just let me stay like this for a little more time…" Kaede smiled as she heard him. "I just want to feel that you are mine for a brief moment…" Kaede was a bit embarrassed as she heard this coming out of Shuichi, she never would've thought that he could be this bold, maybe she will start to discover a lot more different characteristics in Shuichi, and she liked it, as long as they were together that was all that matters.

"Umm… by the way… Kaede…?" Kaede could hear Shuichi's voices just inches away from her ear, she could feel the hot air coming out from his mouth as she listened to his voice.

"What is it...? Do you need me to come…a bit closer…?" Kaede was a little worried about Shuichi's position, one of his arms was being squashed by her body and the bed.

"No… it's nothing like that… don't worry, it's just…" Kaede was a bit confused but realized that Shuichi went back to his old embarrassed and bashful self. "We weren't clear about this later, but… Do you… want to be my…girlfriend…?"

"Pffff… Hahahahahahaha" Kaede let out a huge laugh as she turned her body face up. "Shuichi, I think the situation we are in can answer your question don't you think." Shuichi backed away a little bit from Kaede's body.

"Yeah... Haha, I think you are right…" Shuichi felt bashful and straight out stupid for asking a question like that.

"But still… I like that about you… So… Let's make things clear, okay…?" Kaede brought her body a lot closer to Shuichi and looked at him in the eyes as she said.

"Yes… I want to be your girlfriend…"

As she said this, she brought her face closer to Shuichi's, maybe she was not thinking about it in the exact moment, but she felt that her heart was controlling her. In an instant, Shuichi could feel Kaede's trembling lips against his.
