Exorcism

After saying that to her she was unresponsive but her symbiotic ghost lashed out at me.

But when it was about to touch me it instantly retracted and looked at me in fear not wanting to touch me.

'It's smarter than the other more mindless ghosts I see around here.' I think to myself while I casually pull out my glasses and put them onto my face.

"Hey! You know that's very rude to say to someone like that you know!" Miko's friend Hana said that to me with a displeased look on her face.

"Well it maybe rude, but at the same time it's also rude for someone to look at others with hostility while not showing it on their face and that's also quite rude, I mean while she maybe acting all prim and proper with everyone she just doesn't like anyone who doesn't understand her, or comes close to things she cherishes, like right now, while she's mad I said that she is more angry at me for simply doing this." I say as I pull Miku into a surprised hug.

This seems to infuriate the monster on her face as it became spiky and writhed with anger, but it didn't approach as it was smart enough to make sure to keep distance between the two of us.

Though this entire time Michiru didn't say anything and the only sign anyone could see visibly from her was that she was clenching her fists hard as she was very angry with what I said but wasn't showing it.

I then let go of Miko who blushes slightly but brushes it off as she could tell I was purposely agitating the monster on Michiru's head.

"Now as much as I would love to show you what I mean, I don't think it's for the faint of heart to look at someone who is haunted by a ghost so throughly after all." I say which surprises Miko that I would outright say that, and while Hana and her other friend Yuria believe in ghosts and Yuria barely being able to see them, saying someone they know was haunted was a bit much.

"…. What do you mean?…. Are you saying that I'm haunted by a ghost?…." Michiru for the first time said anything and while she sounded confused the ghost was getting even more agitated as it's tentacles wiggled around, almost hitting Hana and Yuria which freaked out Miko but I placed a hand on her shoulder to calm her.

"Yes, I believe it along with what I could assume as your lifestyle that seems to be dictated by a family member of yours has caused for your emotions to be supressed and not allowing yourself to grow, like a caterpillar not being allowed to change and grow into a beautiful butterfly." I said which seemed to land on the mark as the ghost began to cower instead as I saw Michiru take on what looked like a serious look for the first time.

"Caterpillars don't turn into butterflies, those are two different insects, a caterpillar is a caterpillar and a butterfly is a butterfly." She said refuting my claim, but me hearing that made me think she wasn't well educated, or was personally denying the truth.

"…. I have to ask do you or have you ever had a pet caterpillar before?" I don't know why I'm asking this but for some reason I get the feeling that this question is important.

"Yes I do in fact, and his name is Pii and he's very cute." She said as her expression changed to happiness, even if only slightly, at the thought of her pet caterpillar.

"…. And does Pii every so often suddenly disappear from his habitat but a new green object appears hanging on the stem of any plants you have in said habitat?" Mentioning the pet made the mass seem happy and calm, though the eyes on it still seemed to look at me with hatred.

"Yes, Pii does like to disappear and those weird things appear everytime he goes away, though my sister finds him for me again and those things are gone afterwards." She says as she seems to shrug it off.

'…. She keeps getting a new caterpillar each time it goes into a cacoon doesn't she?' (x4)

"Well, when you get a chance just look up the lifecycle of a caterpillar is all I will say, as for what we shall do next, it is but of course getting rid of the ghost, but first a bit of magic." I say to them before reaching into my jacket and slowly pulling out a full body sized mirror before placing it before them while silently casting a spell of ignorance so none will bother us.

"Wow! That's like, so cool! Is that real magic?" Hana asks as she claps her hands in surprise, Yuria was stunned and Michiru seemed to be as well.

"Well of course it's magic, but its not something I can teach so easily, but we aren't here for the magic, we are here to get rid of a possession." I say as I place the mirror in front of Michiru.

"Now right now all you see is yourself, but all I ask as you keep looking into this mirror, and soon enough you will begin to see it change as the form of the ghost take place." I say as I hold onto the mirror and let my ghost sight slowly take on different look.

Ever so slowly Michiru began to see that her reflection began to change, a black mist was floating around and down her head.

Soon the outline of what appeared to be a large mass of tentacles resting upon her head which began to writhe and squirm as Michiru began to get more agitated at what she saw.

Until finally she saw how she looked in Mikus eyes, nothing but a mass of tentacles and eyes that were frantically squirming at it being seen along with Michiru's now unstable emotions.

"Miko has the unfortunate ability to see ghosts, but awhile back we fixed the problem with her sight so she would no longer be haunted with the sight of ghosts all the time, but now something happened and not only Is this ghost haunting you, it has reactivated Miko's sight again, making it unable for her to live a normal life as a result, so it's best we fix that." I go onto explain, though I do see the shocked expressions on Hana and Yuria with seeing a real ghost for the first time, and for Yuria in such high detail.

"Now let's start the simple procedure of exsorcizing a ghost."

"Aaaand done, there your eyes should all be fixed now, I reinforced your sight so it's much harder for you to have to see them again if you don't want to." I say as I let go of her face before she rubs her eyes.

"Well I'm just happy things can go back to normal, thanks Hifumi." She said as she really appreciated what I did to her.

As for Michiru, after seeing she was possessed and making her realize how bad it was for her to keep in the long run I was able to rid of it from her.

But it did put a toll on her as she seemed light headed but Hana and Yuria helped bring her back home as a result.

"Don't mention it, but just call me if anything pops up alright, but I got to head back, I got people at home waiting for me so see ya." I wave her goodbye before I hope on my motorcycle and drive back to home.

"…. Haaaa, if only you were normal I'd…. No never mind…." She mutters to herself before she heads inside her house to get some nice deserved rest.
