Unleash Your True Form

WHEN they were out of Dandy's sight, Kahaku looked at Yoshiko and Tamnatsu. These two guardians look weak and puny but he knew that Amaterasu wouldn't put these two down here for anything.

"Unleash your true form once we landed at the fields," Kahaku commanded at the two.

They were quiet as they flew and run at the northern end of the lands. It came to his attention an ominous aura coming in. The evil yokai might have felt the darkness that had gathered in their forest.

Kahaku smirked. "They might have thought there were no guardians in that forest."

"My Lord," Tamotsu called. "Are you certain that we can take them down?"

"Are you underestimating yourself, guardian?"

"No, my Lord," he answered. "we are certain that we can take them. But just the three of us? It will be hard if they attack in other parts of the forest."

Kahaku laughed from what he heard. "You, do you really know how that forest works? As long as Dandy is there, the forest is safe."

He just left it at that. For they didn't know that along with Dandy, a protective barrier was given to the forest. If the forest died so is Dandy. And if anything would happen to Dandy, the forest would die.

"Leave your worry to yourself, coward," Yoshiko braked back at Tamotsu. "Have faith in our mistress. She may be small but her power is far greater than she'll ever know."

The bickering soon ended faster than it started when they could almost see the vast green field in front. And not far from that was a mass of black shadow lurking and moving towards them.

And Kahaku wasn't mistaken that these lowlifes of a Yokai's would try to invade their land.

Kahaku, Tamotsu, and Yoshiko then stopped at the mouth of the forest as the other group was at the other end. All of them were startled when they saw Kahaku and the two guardians who now transformed to their full-body form.

Tamotsu was now a tall, lean warrior. His long pale green hair was brushed up until it reached the nape. He wore slim pair of glasses. His green eyes were like a slit of bamboo leaves, that was too sharp it could cut you. Tamotsu was also wearing a red and white balloon-like hakama and a rib-length blazer and exposed his chest and abs. He was holding his polearm to the same height as him.

On the other side of Kahaku, Yoshiko landed on his two feet like a human now. In contrast with Tamotsu's lean body, Yoshiko was a little bigger built.

Standing tall, taller than Kahaku and Tamotsu, Yoshiko wore his mane longer than Tamotsu but shorter than the floor-length hair of Kahaku. Yoshiko's mane was a combination of black, white, and gray. He wears a leather type of shirt and balloon-type pants, too. Over his shoulder was his furry tail that serves as his robe. His fangs and silver-gray eyes were still manifested in his human form. A samurai and katana on his both hands both drawn and ready to strike.

Gone were the playful Yoshiko and know-it-all Tamostu. Besides Kahaku were the real guardians of Goddesses.

"I warned you to go back to where you came from, demons. You don't know what you're getting yourself into." Kahaku said. Though his voice was quiet, it came across the great field.

The Yokai's shouted and get agitated some more.

"Why would we listen to you?" said one of the demons. "We were promised great power by Lord Susanoo. All we have to do is kill that puny flower deity."

{Dandy? Susanoo wants to kill Dandy?} "Lord Susanoo sent you here? For the kid deity? What has she got to do with all of this?"

"Why do we care?" laughed off the one who spoke earlier. "All we care about is the power. We heard that deity is just puny and weak. We could crush her with our hands. But before that, we should kill you first. It wasn't in the contract that we made, but I think my boys would be glad to taste your blood."

The demons rejoiced and agreed to what the demon said. Looked like it was the head or leader of them. Kahaku just sighed with the ignorance of these demons.

"Foolish, demons, they don't know who they are against with," growled Yoshiko. "Go back or meet your doom!"

The demons laughed again. "With three of you against my army? You should be the one to stand down and let us through. We might spare your life. But the guys would be disappointed. They crave for guardian's blood after all."

Tamotsu scoffed. "Let's just end this, my Lord. I want to go back. Our lady might be looking for us now."

Kahaku smiled at Tamotsu. His devotion towards the girl;l fascinates him. These two are loyal followers of Amaterasu and Ume but with just a simple kid, looked like they have change of heart.

{Well, who wouldn't love that kid deity. Her smile and energy are contagious.}

"Do as you wish. Let's finish this as I want to clear something, too."

With that, both Yoshiko and Tamotsu made their move.

Yoshiko dashed as if he was flying. Tamotsu jumped as he was descending, Yoshiko spun. Tamotsu landed on Yashiko's blade and used the force Yoshiko gave to his sword to soar higher.

As the two started to move, the demons started their attack. Tamotsu may not be seen but you can see that one by one, the demons who were flying started to fall. With no more than a corpse. There were fewer remains as most of them vanished, evaporated thru the purification of Tamotsu's spear.

Yoshiko lunged on his first victim. The sound of the blade slashing thru flesh as the growl of Yoshiko would knockback and stunned some of the demons. Making it easier for Yoshiko to stab and kill them. And if Yashiko would use his force, his swords would look like claws. Slashing the life out of his victims.

And it wasn't the end for Tamotsu. He could stay afloat for a long time but his descend wouldn't be meaningful. He would plunge and the impact would throw his enemies, purified as the spattering of his magic made them out of their minds.

"TAMOTSU, how many have you killed?" Yoshiko shouted when he gave Tamotsu a leap.

"I don't give a damn, mongrel," Tamotsu replied. "One plunged can cleanse not less than ten demons."

"That's weak," Yoshiko laughed. He then gave a big slash towards the demons who were flying. Five slashed flew and killed those flying demons trying to attack Tamotsu's back. "watching your back down here."

Yoshiko didn't hear any answer from Tamotsu. He looked up at the sky finding his friend but cannot see him. "Tamotsu!" he shouted but none.

Yoshiko made a swift turn and killed all the demons who were near him. He was going to jumped and looked for his friend in mid-air. He was gathering his powers at his feet and was ready to jump when out of nowhere, he saw a green flash of lightning.

Yoshiko smirked and watched his friend swing his spear to blew away the smoked that he make. He then fixed his glasses and looked at him.

"Do you need help down here?" Tamotsu said in his cold voice.

"Who said I need it?" he barked back.

"I just thought you need it. There's still so many down here."

Yoshiko knew he was taunting him and he just replied to him with a growl.

"Get back to work, mongrel." Tamotsu laughed before jumping into the air.

Yoshiko then swung his sword and gave his friend a lift again and proudly watched him kill the flying demons.

Tamotsu looked down as he stopped and started to float mid-air. Most of the demons are all gone. Yoshiko may have a big built but he moves fast. The five slashed he made with every blade wouldn't damage a clean being but it will surely kill if needed a cleansing.

Tamotsu lunge at the demon he saw. One, two, he doesn't know how many he killed with just one lunge. A hundred or two, he didn't know, too. As long the demons would be purified and would save the forest they live in. it was enough.

And he was always proud to have Yashiko as his partner. From the day they fought their first battle up until now, babysitting Dandy.

{We need to finish this. Our lady is waiting for us.}
