DAYS. Weeks. Months had passed. Shina doesn't know how long they have been in that village. The longer she lives there, the longer she forgets that she was not a mortal.
But despite that, as long as she was with Yu, she doesn't mind. And as they journey to bring light to what they really feel for each other, it came to her what it really was.
Shina and Yu tried their best to be together. tried their way to meet their feelings. Synchronizing. One by one. Together.
There's only one who isn't happy with what was happening. Naru.

Naru sigh because he knew he cannot change his sister's mind. "Do you still remember that we don't grow old, Shina? That sooner or later, they might notice that we don't grow old."
"I know that, Naru," Shina's smiling face faded as she looked herself in the mirror. Not aging. Not getting sick. Unbreakable. Immortal. She knew all that but that didn't stop her. "We will cross that bridge when we get there. Okay? For now, let's get ready as the ceremony will start." Shina then stands up and twirled around her brother.
She was wearing a white shiromuku. Everyone tried their best to give her the best headpiece but it was just a simple village to they opt to not use it. It was alright with Shina as long as by the end of the ceremony, she could be with Yu.
Any kimono would suffice. With or without the traditional accessories. With or without the necessary celebration and tradition.
She just wants to be with Yu. Bound to him. Together until his every reincarnation.
Shina smiled again as she waited for Naru's reaction. And for the first time that day, her brother smiled.
"Yeah, you're beautiful." Naru hugged her. "Whatever happens, I will protect you."
Shina nodded to Naru when he let go of her. They both looked at the door when someone knocked. They heard Megumi's voice from the other side. Shina slightly laughed as she saw how her brother fixed himself.
"Don't worry, Naru. I think Megumi really likes you."
Naru looked at her with a knotted forehead. "Who says I care? I don't give a care if she likes me or not. I'm just being kind not to push her away."
"Whatever, Naru," Shina dismissed Naru not believing any word he was saying. "So, let's go?"
Naru just shook his head and took her hand and guided her out of the house.

EVERYTHING in the village was so colorful. The whole place was decorated with flowers. Foods and drinks were set on a long table. Everyone was on their best.
And at the center of the village where a big oak tree. And that was where the Elder and Yu were waiting.
Happiness swelled in Shina's heart as she watched him getting giddy waiting for her. She even forgot that she was blind.
The ceremony went by with a smile vow. Shina couldn't even remember all of it as her attention was mostly focused on her and Yu's hands. To his eyes that were lovingly looking at her.
The celebration was a blur, too. They were laughing and dancing. Reminiscing the day they arrived in the village until now. Yu's past and got sad about what happened back then. Getting guilty over what she and Naru did to the village. But to them, it was all under the bridge now.
The ceremony ended and so as the celebration. The village was all quiet again. Shina didn't return to where she and Naru lived. Instead, she went home with Yu.

THE NIGHT was quiet. Every move and every breath feels loud. Buth Shina and Yu moved lightly, slowly, taking their time and not make any noise.
They were both sitting in the futon in Yu's big tatami room. Her back to her as he gently removed the obi of her inner kimono. She lightly gasped as his hand brushed when he pushed aside her hair.
His arms embraced her from the back as he runs his fingers to the lining of her kimono. Slowly running up to her shoulders and removing it. As the kimono slides from her shoulders down, it was replaced by soft kisses.
Shina bit her lips as gasped and small moans escaped her lips. She cannot believe that she can make a sound. So erotic. So hot. It was hot as the summer heat.

"No," Yu answered breathlessly. "Never. I'd rather be trapped and be with you, my Shina."
Shina smiled and plated a small kiss on his lips. And looked like it ignited something that he was burning with passion. Yu cross the space between their lips like a man who'd been deprived by water in a desert.
