9 No Prophecy, No Returning

Feng Wu stood there stunned while looking at the sign, and processing what Graves had told him. Graves stood there wondering why Feng was stunned from what he said.

'Renee's Grace? So Renee is a God here, does that mean the one I met is the same one? I was brought here by God?!' Feng was running in circles in his head.

"Don't think too much!" Graves interrupted as he knocked on the door. "Sarin, you have a second?" Graves yelled.

After a few seconds someone opened the door slightly and a little girl poked her head out and looked at who was at the door.

"Uncle Graves!" The girl yelled as she threw open the door excitedly.

"Gina, why are you yelling, who's at the door?" a woman's voice sounded inside the house.

"It's Uncle Graves! He wants to see you Mom," Gina turned back and said.

Sarin walked over to the door and looked out seeing both Graves and Feng standing there.

"It's you? Did this boy do something?!" Sarin suddenly said angrily as she glared at Feng Wu.

"No no, he's a good kid, his names Feng! He's a Wanderer actually, and you're the only person here that has any interactions with them so I thought maybe you could give him a hand," Graves smiled while speaking politely.

"Hi, my name is Feng Wu, I'm really sorry about yesterday, and thank you again for telling me how to get to the village," Feng said while taking a bow.

"A Wanderer...that would explain a lot," Sarin muttered to herself as she looked at Feng again and turned around. "Come on in, I'll tell you what I know, and I'll try to answer any questions you have," She said while walking back inside.

"Well, I'll leave you to it, have to go on patrol duty now, come find me whenever you're done!" Graves said while patting Feng's back, he turned around and left.

Feng walked inside Sarin's house and looked around. There were a few swords and shields hung on the walls to the left side of the house, and a simple dining table with chairs in the middle. To the right Feng could see a hallway that went down with stairs leading down.

"Sorry about yesterday, we had a bit of trouble with new people entering the city not too long ago and I was worried for my kids in the carriage," Sarin said as she sat at the table and looked at Feng.

"N-No it's fine, I heard from Graves about what happened before so I can understand!" Feng stuttered while talking. He was scared of the look from Sarin.

Feng walked over to the table and pulled out a chair and sat down too, he then noticed that coming from the stairs was a little boy holding a tub of water and Gina following behind him with a few towels. When the boy was closer to the table he noticed Feng and curiously glanced at him, but without a word he kept walking.

"So, Feng was it? Can you tell me what the name of your world was," Sarin asked, snapping Feng back to his attention.

"It was Earth, I came from a world called Earth," Feng replied startled.

"Earth? I don't believe I've heard of this one before, you might be a first arrival from there," Sarin said while thinking briefly. "Well for now, I'll say a few things first. One, I do not know if there's a way home but none of the other Wanderer's that I knew before were able to. Two, I was not given any prophecy's to guide you. Three, you should have some sort of special abilities when you transferred here. Do you know what they are?"

Feng was shocked. He couldn't see his family again, his mother and father, his two brothers, or his friends. Feng sat there wide-eyed for long time as Sarin watched and didn't say anything. Sarin knew how shocking that would be, because this wasn't her first time telling someone the same thing. She was a discipline priest that aided Renee in this world. She was responsible for guiding those who have come as she was not only a priest, but one with the Prophet skill. She had used it many times to help the Wanderer's and other people in this world, but she could see the same reaction from the Wanderer's, and those who've lost.

'Renee... why did you take me here?! What did I do? What do you want me to do!?' Feng angrily yelled in his head. He cried as he sat there, looking down at the table. Thinking about what not being able to go back would mean to himself, and his friends and family.

"Feng," Sarin's voice snapping him back to reality. Her look had become gentle as she watched him shiver. She couldn't tell what he was thinking, but she knew it wasn't good right now.

"Sorry, it's... a lot to take in," Feng quietly said as he raised his head up. He saw that Sarin had been looking at him now, and he wiped away his tears.

"I know. It's not easy, but Wanderer's usually arrive here for a reason. Maybe it's not something I know yet, but someone you meet will be able to tell you. For now, let's give you a basic rundown on what we know about the Wanderer's that have come before you, and things that they've helped do," Sarin said as she reached over and patted Feng's head.
