2 An Unexpected Night

Living in a 2 story house with 3 bedrooms. With his parents and 2 brothers, Feng shared his room with his older brother Hou. Feng walked into his house and kicked off his shoes, and ran upstairs.

"Feng! Did you finish your homework yet? You got back later then usual today." A middle aged woman said as Feng ran pass.

"I'll finish it by tomorrow, only have a little more left. Now however, I need to go save the world!" Feng laughed as he turned left in the small hallway towards his room.

Feng jumped in his chair and turned his computer on.

"Final Grace, tonight is when I finally see the ending..." Feng muttered to himself as he turned on his computer.

The rest of Feng's family were all working, his brothers both working in big companies in the central district, and his dad working as head chef in one of the local restaurants. His mom was the only one home most of the time with him, cooking and cleaning, and being responsible for the financials of the home.

Opening the game FG on his computer Feng realized 'Oh no, forgot to get a drink again' he got up and walked back downstairs and into the kitchen.

'In local news, reports have come in saying 6 people have gone missing as of the last 3 days. We advise everyone to please stay in at nighttime and lock the doors until the police have more information.' the news reporter on the television sounded out in the kitchen.

"That doesn't sound good, Feng, be more careful when you go out at night," Feng's Mom said as Feng was rummaging through the fridge.

"Aw man, we're out of pop again," Feng sighed as he grabbed a bottle of water, opened it and started to walk out of the kitchen.

"Did you hear me Feng, be careful when you go out!" Feng's Mom said again as she flipped through the channels on the television.

"Got it mom," Feng replied as he headed back to his room. He heard his phone ringing while walking up the stairs, and ran to his room.

"Hello?" Feng rushed to his phone while almost spilling his water.

"Hey Feng, It's Renee! I was wondering if you had some time tonight, I'm leaving in the morning and wanted to hang out before I left... only if you're not busy," Hearing Renee's quiet voice over the phone.

"Uh, yeah I have time, meet me at the corner of Trent Lane and Peach Tree Road, I'll take you somewhere to eat!" Feng replied as he put the water bottle on his desk.

"Okay! I'll GPS that and see you soon, I'll be there in probably 15 minutes," Renee said and hung up the phone.

"Aw man, I was so excited to finish the game too...oh well, once in a life time chances right!" Feng spoke to himself as he went back out of his room and downstairs. "Mom, I'm going out to meet a friend for a little bit, I'll be back later!" Feng yelled while slipping on his shoes.

"Be safe, apparently there have been people going missing around here recently, bring your knife!" Feng's Mom yelled back from the kitchen.

Feng checked his pocket for his knife, he always kept one on him because he would usually help with unboxing shipments for various places as he helped out.

"Got it, bye mom! Call me if you need anything," Feng said while closing the door behind him. He walked down his street and turned left on to Trent. He walked a few minutes before he arrived at the corner and sat down on the grass. He waited while thinking 'If I upgrade my weapon with the new Frozen Sapphire that dropped, I wonder if it will make the sword ice damage...'

Time passed without realizing and Feng took out his phone and checked the time, 'Strange...it's been 25 minutes already, wonder if Renee is okay...' suddenly Feng thought of what his mom had said and called back the last number on his phone. It rung and Feng started to get nervous, hoping nothing had happened to Renee.

"Hello there, Feng was it?" A scratchy voice responded on the other side.

"Who is this...where is Renee?" Feng said slowly as he got up and started to look around him.

"Oh, she's here. Now, if you would like to see her alive and well, walk down Peach Tree Road and head towards the forest preserve, I promise nothing will happen to her if you just listen to me," the scratchy voice continued while chuckling. The phone went silent after as Feng looked at it to see the call had ended.

'Oh man, I should probably call the police...but what if something happens to her because of that...forget it! I'll check it out first' Feng contemplated in his head as he started running down the road.

The forest preserve had a "DO NOT ENTER" sign at the opening, right where Peach Tree Road ends.

'Oh yeah, this is like every horror or slasher movie ever, get told to walk by myself through a scary forest at night and never see me again... well at least that's just in movies' Feng thought to himself as he stood right next to the sign.

Before he could take the first step into the forest, a bag suddenly came down over his head and tightened around his neck, choking him. Feng struggled as he tried to grab the hands pulling the bag.

"Now now, thanks for checking on me. I'm sure before you go, you'll be glad to know I'm doing okay," a quiet voice of a girl sounded next to him.

"What...?" Feng gasped out before blacking out.
