"Why did you do that brother? You brought a Volkov in this mansion knowing what they had done to us. Did you forget the past?" Valerie protested, trying to put some sense in her brother's mind. The soundproof walls of office restricted her high-pitched tone to be heard out. Valentine took a drag of a cigarette and blows out the smoke. He seemed unaffected by the tantrums of this teenager. If it had been someone else then he must have buried them six feet underground by now. But this was his sister, his blood. The only family member left. He brought her up as his daughter, with love and affection. There is no secret kept in between them. She knows everything about his business. "That Volkov killed our parents in cold-blood. Yet you are favoring him by marrying his daughter? What the hell is going on?"
