17 Chapter 17 : Enlisting As A Soldier!!

A few days passed with Seion looking here and there while knowing he was under surveillance...

Surprisingly during his time here he had seen Steve Rogers getting rejected countless times for military service...

Upon getting to the desk, Rogers was asked about how his mother and father had died following the ending of World War I.

Due to all his various health and physical issues, Rogers was rejected for service in the military, despite his multiple attempts at several enlistment offices.

However, he had remained determined to fight alongside his friends and other soldiers in the war and would try to convince the doctors to at least give him a chance to fight, but to no avail.

Disappointed that he would still be unable to go overseas and join in the war effort, Rogers went to a local cinema to try and take his mind of the situation.

While at the screening, Rogers watched as an advert was played showing the different ways soldiers and civilians can help with the war effort, showing footage of the rise of Nazi Germany and the efforts the United States of America and the other Allied Forces were putting in to stop Hitler's advancements.

While the film showed soldiers signing up, Rogers considered the footage of all the efforts people at home could do if he was still unable to fight overseas.

When a loud jerk inside the cinema yelled at the screen and showed disrespect to the message of the film, Rogers told him to show some respect.

When the bully continued yelling out and insisting that they stop showing the footage and finally play the movie, Rogers was the only person to stand up to the bully, telling him to shut up, only for the bully to stand up and reveal himself to be considerably bigger than Rogers and ready for a fight whoever told him to shut up.

Seion watched this through E.D.I.T.H as he sent her to monitor the future Avenger and saw everything he did...

The bully proceeded to take Rogers outside before he then began to beat him up for telling him to shut up.

Despite being smaller and unable to defend himself, Rogers still refused to give up, getting up from every punch and using a garbage can lid to defend himself and insisting he could do this all day, until he was finally knocked over and beaten.

Rogers was then rescued by Bucky Barnes, who chased off the bully before helping Rogers to get on his feet.

Looking at his friend, Rogers then realized Barnes was wearing his uniform while he confirmed he would ship out with the 107th Infantry Regiment to go to England the next day.

While Rogers expressed his disappointment that he would not join him, Barnes then smiled and insisted that they had to celebrate his last night before heading out into combat by going to the Stark Expo, which Rogers agreed to go to despite his poor mood, still wanting to support Barnes.

After some time, Rogers and Barnes arrive at the Stark Expo, while talking and seeing the exhibition of the future technologies...

"There are men laying down their lives. I got no right to do any less than them. That's what you don't understand. This isn't about me." Rogers said while Bucky shrugged his shoulders...

In his attempt to cheer up Rogers, Bucky Barnes had arranged for a double date which Barnes had kept a secret from Rogers.

Upon seeing Bonnie and Connie excitedly waving at Barnes, Rogers questioned what he had told his date about him, to which Barnes insisted he had only told her the good stuff, which had made Rogers even more nervous.

While they explored the Expo with the girls, Rogers and Barnes had then witnessed Howard Stark demonstrating his flying car prototype which would be built by Stark Industries, with Stark enthusiastically claiming that with his technology he and his company were currently developing, automobiles of the future would not even have to touch the ground at all.

As the demonstration went underway, Rogers tried to offer Connie some sweets which she rejected before they watched as Stark's car then promptly crashed to the ground due to still being unfinished, much to the great amusement of the crowds.

Despite all of the incredible exhibits that were being displayed at the Expo, when Rogers had seen a nearby enlistment office adjacent, he had quietly snuck away from Barnes and the girls as he then made another attempt to go enlist in the United States Army once again so he might finally have a chance of fighting overseas with his fellow men.

While waiting his turn to enlist in the Armed Forces, Rogers then posed beside their picture of a soldier who was wearing an army uniform, although Rogers' own short stature meant he rather apathetically only came up to the picture's chin while looking at himself.

Barnes noticed his absence and later found Rogers, attempting to convince him not to enlist again in case he was arrested for lying on his enlistment form again, but Rogers insisted that he needed to fight for his country as the threat of World War II and Nazi Germany still continued to grow.

Finally, Rogers argued that he had no right to do any less than the other men fighting for their freedom before he and Barnes said their goodbyes, knowing that Barnes would be shipping out onto England with the 107th Infantry Regiment the next morning, with the pair sharing joking insults and a hug as Barnes left.

Once again, Rogers waiting to enlist in the army yet again, as he did so a blond loli human girl preached him while he slightly got flustered...

"Greetings there... How come you are always here?" The blond girl asked...

"I wish to enlist in the army and gith for my country..." Roger plainly stated...

"Oh?? How come??" She asked him...

"I don't like bullies. I don't care where they're from." Rogers said which caused her to laugh a bit...

"Well, there are already so many big men fighting this war. Maybe what we need now is the little guy, huh?" The loli said...

"My name is E.D.I.T.H... You are an interesting one, come let me help you out..." She said as she walked forward making Roger become stunned...

At the same time E.D.I.T.H was talking with Seion and he, in turn, talked to Carter who was next to him...

After a few ups and downs, she called someone and asked him to test him...

When Rogers and E.D.I.T.H entered inside the room and waited for the tests to occur as she had explained that someone will come to see him, the door open...

"Hello, there I'm Erskine..." The one who entered introduced himself...

"I'm a representative of the Strategic Scientific Reserve."

"Well, Mr. Rogers why would you like to enlist in the military??"

"Do you wish to go overseas and kill Nazis.??" Erskine asked while Rogers shook his head...

"I do not wish to kill anyone, i simply did not like bullies no matter where they were from." Rogers said once again...

"That's something new?? Well, I'm impressed by this answer and all of your efforts to be enlisted with the United States Army."

"However you should know Mr. Rogers that physically we can't enlist you... At least not in a normal way..." Erskine said while Roger furrowed his brows...

"So i can enter in a special way?? Like a special program or something??" He asked...

Erskine then proceeded in explaining that he would enlist Rogers as a candidate of Project Rebirth, telling him that this would be his chance to join the war effort in World War II, which Rogers had then enthusiastically accepted, delighted to be given the opportunity to serve.

After getting his approval Rogers was on the high moon...

He directly hugged E.D.I.T.H causing her to frown as she didn't like hugging with people she didn't know but thought it would be fine if it was Seion...

Soon Roger, realised what he was doing and backed away from her while bowing his head and started rapidly apologising as Erskine prepared his files for submission...

"Well then Mr Roger, it would be the best to take care of things you might have within the week as you wouldn't;t have the time later one..." Erskine said while Roger nodded...

"After that take this and report to this Camp, on the written date and you will be received for training before going through the Rebirth progress..."

"I would work hard to raise my endurance if I was you to have higher chances of being finally selected..." Erskine said as he walked out of the room and went to check the others...

Roger gave him a salute that wasn't a salute but at least he tried to...

Coming back to his senses he also thanked E.D.I.T.H before both of them went to their own ways...

Within this week, many got admitted and now after the date arrived everyone gathered outside the Camp where Stark, Carter and Seion was waiting for those new recruits...

They got tested for their height and weight...

Had medical exams...

Had a few injections for infections...

While Seion's face started twitching as he saw first hand that one of the descriptions in the injections was to lower the lust of the soldiers making it difficult for them to light it up by you know singing...

Playing the flute maybe??

When he asked Carter she turned with a poker face and answered him...

"We need soldiers... Not sex fiends... And certainly not guys fucking other guys..." She said with a tired tone indicating that the things he had seen on screen were true...

Now he was curious if someone lifted the soap in the bathroom...

But anyway he dropped everything his mind imagined as he would rather fuck a trashcan than a guy...

He didn't know if that was true in his previous world as well as he hadn't had the chance to go serve his military time there...

And honestly, he doesn't want to find out...

After going through several blocks they were brought to their barracks where they would get their military clothes and rested for the night as tomorrow at 5-6 in the morning they would be up and running...

Rogers was feeling ecstatic being on where his dreams always wanted him to be and help others in his own way...

He fell asleep as he lay in the bed and thought about the future before drifting in the dreamland...

When he woke up a few hours earlier he saw the others fixing their beds brushing their teeth washing their dicks and many more as they then all gathered in the courtyard...

Then they were welcomed by Carter and Seion who started a long speech and their purpose being here and various other things before they were separated into squads...

What surprised Seion was that Roger entered Logan's squad and was shocked...

"And now all of you will enter into a training regime to increase your chances of getting out alive from the battlefield..."

"This will consist of Max push-ups in 2 min. Max sit-ups in 2 min. 2-mile run, for time. 3-rep max trap bar deadlift, using low handles. Medicine ball power throw with a 10-lb. ball. Max hand-release push-ups in 2 min. A sprint-drag-carry medley using sledges and kettlebells. Max hanging leg tucks in 2 min. 2-mile run, for time"

"The moment you all finish this and I mean all of you until the last person, there will be 10 minutes break and then start again..."

"This will be enough for all of you to do that twice in the morning... Go and eat in the kitchens and then twice in the evening..." Carter yelled making many nervous about the hellish training that came in their way...
