9 Breakfast

The rest of the night proceeded without much interruptions by either side. Elizabeth was a bit cautious of Kellogg so she boxed him in the fireplace. No matter how much he tried to convince her that he wasn't going to try anything funny, she didn't wanted to hear it.

After many long hours of being cramped inside a fireplace, he suddenly fell out of it like a ragdoll when the front of the fireplace was reopened. He was er.. twisted into a roll.

All night he couldn't sleep due to these notifications

[Warning structural deformity detected!]

[Commencing repairs...]

Then his body tried to straighten itself back but other than the fact that it was so painful,

[Repair fail Error#2032]

[System rebooting...]

And it restarted from the first notification. In the end he fell asleep as he got tired from this cycle of endless fails and reboots.

But as soon as he exited from the fireplace and fell on the floor, the sudden freedom allowed his body body to break the endless loop and stretch itself to normal. Unfortunately for him, it felt like being suddenly plunged into ice cold water after waking up. The painful moan showed the depth of the pain.

As all of this was happening, Elizabeth sitting on the floor and eating what appeared to be a large chicken leg. As he rolled to his side, he saw her eating like an animal with both of her hands gripping the meat and violently tearing it off with her mouth.

"Ah. You are finally awake" she said right before stuffing her mouth with meat like a squirrel stuffing its cheeks with food.

Kellogg was frozen and without response focused on her chomping down. But not because he was mesmerised by her beauty but,

[Damage detected in first and second vertebra]

[Voluntary nervous system shut down for repairs]

[Repairing...]

Just the sight of her unfavourable eating habits and the loud chewing sound combined with the silence inside the room would make anyone feel uneasy, but having to experience it all with no escape? That's torture.

'Reboot'

[Cannot reboot during maintenance]

'User override stop repair'

[Cannot reboot during maintenance]

'Can I move my head'

[Voluntary action is suspended for repair]

[No imminent threat of danger]

[User override denied]

'Well at least shutdown input from eyes and ears'

[Cannot shut down primary sense organs]

[Estimated Completion in 00:59:24]

A small tear ran down his cheek as read the last notification and he lay there taking in the scenic beauty and mesmerising sounds of Elizabeth eating breakfast.
