5 A Quick Massacre

['Language' discovered in memories!]

['Language' is now integrated and ready for use]

'The man who I killed was a mercenary, his name was Peter Hill. They were sent here to kill a witch. He was a swordsman, his favourite colour was green, he liked to decapitate people,....'

As the information obtained kept flowing through his head he stared at the others.

"Lets kill this fucker!" one of them announced.

"Don't be hasty, Jonathan. You always rush things and spoil them." Kellogg said out loud.

The moment they heard this comment, their jaws dropped. Jonathan was always like 'attack first ask later' kind of person. But this fact was known only within their group and no one else knew. But now this man that appeared out of nowhere addressed him casually.

Jonathan's face became distorted with rage. As he attempted to charge at Kellogg, his captain pulled him back.

"Don't fall for his tricks." she said. "He's just trying to taunt you."

The captain looked like a veteran mercenary. Her behaviour and expressions showed a woman who had been through all kinds of hardships. With her years of experience she could easily see through Kellogg's plan to individually attack them.

"Do the same thing we did with the witch." she ordered.

Then as the mercenaries formed a square around Kellogg, she looked at the witch with a 'Try something and you're dead' kinda look.

"I don't have time for this." he said.

"Shut up you piece of-"

"Jonathan!" the captain angrily called out his name. He held back his anger and stood still but his bloodlust could still be felt.

The formation consisted of four mages in four corners of a square and four swordsmen in the between the mages. Since the captain didn't take part and Peter was dead, only two swordsmen were on the opposite sides of the square, left and right to Kellogg.

The reason why he didn't attack them first while they moved into formation was that he wanted to watch them, how they would react to him. Now he felt bored.

The mages started to cast a spell and the swordsmen stood on guard. They called this 'the box'. As long as they kept their target inside the box, it will gradually lose health and weaken.

[Handgun enabled]

Parts of his palm morphed into a small gun which had a silencer attached to it.

[Targets Acquired]

Several muffled gunshot noises later all of the mercenaries were on the ground bleeding. The firearm had triumphed magic and swordsmanship, at least in this situation.

[Ammunition remaining 20]

It was quick and easy but costly.

'I should have done it with my hands instead of wasting precious ammo.' he regretted.'Well at least guns work here. I should save it for extreme scenarios'

The witch who had been sitting on the ground the whole time was staring at him with her mouth open.

"I'm not going to kill you." he said while walking towards one of the corpses.

[Swiper deployed]

"Th-Thank you." words finally came out of her mouth.

His attention was focused entirely on absorbing.

[Extraction Complete]

[Target is Deceased]

The witch observed him with curiosity as he went from one body to another absorbing.
