Walk on the Town

Jason decided to take a walk through the Gotham streets one night. The neon lights made every street light up from the darkness that seemed to always consume the city.

He left behind his mask and guns so the only person that was going through the city was Jason. This idea was fiercely opposed by Rose due to Jason's recent skyrocket in fame but he couldn't just stay on the ship. He had been doing interviews and handling a bunch of paperwork that was slowly driving him insane.

Because Talia had dropped off the full chips from Ivo, Morrow, and Smoak, he was also planning on secluding himself in order for him to create his meta-cyberware line so he wanted to get out before that started and get himself some inspiration.

Jason left the Kujira in the cover of darkness. He knew that he could leave whenever he wanted out the front door but Jason didn't feel like putting up with the others following him.

So there he was. Walking through the streets of Gotham that would soon run rampant with cybernetics and war. The gangs all around the city would start spilling blood in hopes that they would be able to dominate the future market.

Jason looked at the fragile peace that covered the city. And how he would be responsible for shattering it.

Something red flashed across Jason's eyes when he looked upwards. The man couldn't help letting a smirk flash across his face.

Jason activated his Sandevistan before he quickly appeared on one of the roofs above him.

Nightwing, Batgirl, and Batman were surprised to see that he had caught them already. Behind Batman was a little boy in green short-shorts.

"Jason Todd. Or do you prefer Red Hood?" Batgirl questioned

"You can call be Jason as always, Babs," Jason smirked at the redhead

"So what Dick said it true. You know all of our identities," Batman pointed out the obvious

Jason began to pace around the roof. He was excited. The last monologue was prepared but this monologue would be impromptu.

"Not just the three of yours. Wally West, Barry Allen, Clark Kent, Mari McCabe," Jason looked at the boy behind Batman. "Timothy Drake. I know them all, Bruce."

Hearing Jason announce so many identities put everyone on guard. If he had just known about them, it could have been because he grew up in Gotham and was able to identify them from clues like Tim had. But with so many identities, it was clear that Jason knew a lot more than what a normal person could find so fast.

"What do you want?" Batman asked, trying his best to hold back the anger in his voice. Jason was shown to be a killer and seemed to have grand ambitions. Him knowing their identities was something that put every hero in danger.

Thunder began to rumble in the sky above. Drops of water slowly started trickling down from the sky.

"Money, getting the girl, making a name for themselves, toppling the current system of government and replacing it with one that suits my needs. Typical teenage boy stuff."

"And if we don't let you?" Nightwing challenged, to which Jason could only laugh

"Haha. I don't need your permission. I have the permission of the ones above you. The US government has seen some of the toys that I have to offer and have offered me several special privileges as long as they get exclusive rights to them. Why do you think I have a supercarrier in Gotham Harbor and can publicly recruit so many armed forces under me?

As for the Gotham Knights stopping me? You can't. Your hands are too busy with everyone else. To take me down, you would need to give me your full attention. But if you do, the criminals that already have my toys would run rampant. You can't afford it."

The others glared at Jason as the rain began to fall down even harder. He had put them in an impossible position. All while he was being backed by their own government.

"I'm not like you, Bruce, who hides behind a mask and the police to do whatever illegal shit you want. I plan to do everything above board. That way, you can't catch me slacking."

Jason knew that he wouldn't stay on the right side of the law forever. He was causing a revolution. But before any of the heroes of governments knew it, Jason wanted to take full advantage of them to build himself even more quickly.

"I can offer you each a place in my organization. We could use those with skills and minds like yours," Jason sincerely offered

"We won't work for you. We don't help murderers."

"Right. You just let them get away with their crimes and put children in danger. Don't try to claim the moral high ground with me, Bruce. In any other city, you would be sent to the same place as Dent or Cobblepot. The Batman exists here because of Bruce Wayne's money. That is all there is to it."

Two spotlights appeared on Jason. A whirring sound could be heard as the Excalibur lowered itself onto the rooftop.

The front window rolled down to reveal Harley was the one driving.

"Heya, Boss. Rose said it was starting to rain too hard so she had me come pick you up."

The backdoor the limo opened up to reveal Ballistic and Velocity waiting for him.

"Looks like our time is up for today. I'll drop by the library sometime, Babs."

Jason boarded the Excalibur before it took off into the sky once more, in the direction of the Gotham Docks.
