27 Hell To Pay

"You sssssure about this, leader? Waller said to simply go in guns blazing." Copperhead asked as Task Force X, AKA the Suicide Squad got on an elevator toward the penthouse.

This team consisted of Captain Boomerang, Deadshot, Harley Quinn, Killer Frost, Copperhead, and Reverse-Flash.

"Hmm. Red Hood was an indifferent asshole that doesn't care about death and is only focused on life. Something like that card is useless to him. Even if he did have it, Waller would want him alive so he didn't use it up. Something's fishy," Deadshot explained

"Plus that guy is scary to fight," Harley added on

"Agree. He is also pretty scary."

"Tsk. A bunch of lowlives scared of a simple criminal," Reverse-Flash complained. This wasn't the typical Reverse-Flash that wore yellow with red accents. Instead, his name was Daniel West and his uniform was black and red. He joined the Suicide Squad for his redemption arc after he tried to kill quite a few people.

"And you're on a team with us. How does that make you any better?" Killer Frost asked with a smile. Everyone on this team except for Copperhead had worked with Jason before so why Reverse-Flash was acting like he didn't know what Jason was capable of was laughable.

The group inside the elevator heard a ding when the elevator reached the top floor. Each of them redied up and was prepared to get shot at in case Jason wasn't receptive to them. But luckily, it seemed like Jason wasn't looking for a fight.

The group walked out of the elevator to see a blonde woman with a robotic arm looking out an opening in the south of the apartment with a sniper rifle. The gun kept flashing as the woman was taking out some targets.

Jason and Rose were standing next to Ballistic, ready to provide support when she had to reload. Velocity was checking through all the security systems since the others were busy. When the elevators doors opened, she made sure the turrets didn't shred the group.

"Boss. They're here," Velocity shouted out while she continued to work

Jason took a break from the south side to address the team

"What did Waller tell you?" Jason asked in a hurry

"You have something she wants and she doesn't want anyone else to have it. It's supposed to be some card that keeps a person out of Hell when they die," Deadshot explained

"Seriously? I'm in the Hell to Pay plot now?" Jason spoke quietly to himself. "Look, Waller lied. She knows that I don't have the card but most likely is being paid by the League in the form of the card. I'm kinda on their bad side now."

"Hmm. Let me get into contact with her."

Deadshot walked a little out of the way so Jason couldn't hear the conversation.

"Waller, Deadshot here."

[What is it? Is he dead yet and do you have the card?]

"No, to both. He says we are here cause the League of Assassins paid you off. That true?"

Waller grunted in frustration. This is why she hated working with criminals. They never believed anything anyone said except other criminals.

[So what if it is? Don't forget that I can blow your heads off! I want him dead!]

Deadshot hated being in this position. The moment he had the bomb out of his neck, he was going to kill Waller. Deadshot walked back over to Jason and lifted his gun-let.

"Sorry, Hood. Waller has bombs in our necks so we gotta put you down if we don't wanna get put down."

Jason frowned beneath his mask. This is why he hated Waller.

"Well, I actually have the master control over those bombs since I'm the one that installed them. So Amanda can't blow up shit unless I say so," Jason finally revealed the truth.

None of the other members of the squad knew who had installed the new versions of the bombs into their necks. Jason's reveal was a complete shock to them.

"Wait. So that means we're free to go, Red?" Harley asked with a smile in her voice

"Oh. I wouldn't say free. More like under new management," Jason sounded like a demon in their ears when he said that.

"Just kidding. Just don't try to kill me or my people in the future and you won't have to worry about me killing you. And I mean my important people. You can kill as many goons as you want."

"Deal," the 5 members of the squad instantly agreed. They had no issues with betraying Waller. The only reason they worked for her was because they didn't wanna die.

The only one that showed resistance was Reverse-Flash. Jason saw this and didn't hesitate to press two buttons on his modem. The man instantly fell to the ground and was foaming at the mouth. Jason put the Kyubi to his head before pulling the trigger twice.

Copperhead subconsciously swallowed the breath he did not know he had been holding.

"See? Scary," Harley whispered to him

Copperhead could only nod in agreement. Jason was definitely very ruthless to his enemies.

"Boss. West wall is trying to breach! Savage's group also landed on the roof."

Jason nodded before connecting with the security system. He opened up the entrance to the staircase to the roof to allow Savage and his people inside while completely down the security on the west side: metal walls, turrets, and trip mines.

Silver Banshee looked at the walls that opened on their own in surprise. She turned to looked at Reverse-Flash(Thawne) in surprise. Blockbuster also looked at Thawne, also confused about the situation.

Vandal Savage, Scandal, and Knockout were on the roof and surprised that they didn't have to destroy the tire roof to get in.

"Interesting," Vandal smiled before descending the stairs with his followers behind him.

The two groups met Jason and the Suicide Squad in the main room of the apartment. Rose, Jason, and Ballistic were focused on taking out the many League members that were approaching. When Cain said he brought a few, that apparently meant over 500.

Jason turned around to face them.

"Real quick. I don't have the card so killing me gets you nothing. Also, you won't kill me. I'll kill you. So let's make some deals before we have to start spilling blood everywhere."

The leaders of both groups looked at Jason. Vandal nodded but Thawne was not too interested.

"Please explain to me why I shouldn't just..."

Out of nowhere, Velocity appeared behind Thawne and snapped his neck so hard that she had decapitated him. Jason looked at Thawne's body with disdain. He was starting to realize that all of the bad speedsters were annoying.

"Cause you couldn't," Jason said to the dead body before turning to the others. "He was dying. Like actually dying. But he was forcing himself alive by using as much of the speedforce as possible into the part of his bain that had a hole in it. So he was much weaker and slower."

"I see. That explains why he died so easily," Vandal nodded, previously confused why Thawne hadn't killed them all the moment he arrived. "So tell me, Red Hood. Why should I not order my men to attack you?"

"Besides me having the only speedster remaining?"

Velocity ran around the room and disarmed all of Savage's men when he said that.

"Because I can give you something better than what you want. I currently have Professor Ivo held prisoner. I can trade him over to you if you give me some of your infinite wealth as well as your daughter and her lovers."

Jason knew about each of the goals for the various powers. Amanda Waller had cancer and was dying. Thawne got shot in an alternate timeline and was barely keeping his life. And Vandal was simply afraid for his life.

So he choose the best method to deal with each of them. Disarm Waller, kill Thawne, and trade with Savage. None of them were complicated for him with his resources.

Vandal looked at Jason with appreciation. He liked people like Jason the most. One's that didn't beat around the bush and were able to solve problems.

"I can give you 200 million for Ivo since I still have to do the dirty work and you get my child."

"Deal," Jason was fine with only 200 million. Vandal may have been thinking that he was taking advantage of Jason but the latter thought he took advantage of Vandal. With 200 million, Jason could begin his expansion instantly.

Scandal and Knockout were bonuses. Jason knew that he could find goons easily but he also needed leaders.

Scandal was originally going to be a student under Bane for a few years after she joined the Secret 6. She eventually became its leader and led them through many conflicts.

Knockout was from Apokolips. Although she wasn't necessarily a leader, she would make an excellent enforcer since she could fight someone like Big Barda to a draw.

Jason looked over to Blockbuster and Silver Banshee to see that they had already fled.

Jason called up Cain.

[Cain speaking.]

"I've killed Thawne, neutralized the Squad, and made a deal with Savage. Now, I'm coming for you."
