Cyberpunk Ghost

(Third Point of View) A teenager wakes up from a couch. Ugh!! my head! who! what! WHATS GOING! ARRGGH MY HEAD! (person falls on the floor and faints) 

(First POV) I woke up again after a couple of hours to the biggest migraine of my life or should I say second life sigh... I stay on the floor for two more hours thinking about my life and sorting memories from both lives "I feel like both David and Brandon but maybe more like Brandon since I was older than David It feels like someone just shoved me 28 years of memories in my head sigh... I'll think about it later. I look up and think to myself "So my name is David Martinez now and I'm in a video game I played just a couple of months ago in 2022. I was a big Witcher 3 fan and I played Cyberpunk since one of my friends recommended it. It was not Witcher 3 but it was a good game.

So now I'm inside the game. No! this is real! I know I have the memories of David. No his, my own now, memories I can remember and every feeling is real, and the memories mean something to me I live through all of them. the happy ones and the sad ones. I look at the container with the name Gloria Martinez on the table and I can't keep myself from craying. "Mom I'm sorry I could not save you. But I promise I will honor your memory By making something of myself and although I might not be able to climb to the top of Arasaka how you wanted me to, I will make sure to live happily and make something of myself for both of us.

After a few minutes, I dried my tears and looked at the digital calendar. (Saturday, September 7, 2075) "the rent is due on Monday at 6 pm and I have 70 eddies from the sales of the shards I sold to those rich corpo kids on the academy, and the rent is 2200 eddies "fuck choom" (whoa it feels weird to use the slang from the future) so what can I do to earn money fast.

(2 hours later) Ok. I have an idea of a plan but is gonna involve luck and for me to be as quiet as I can." ugh! I can't do much to earn money because a regular job can't give me the money in 2 days and who would hire me anyway I don't know anyone besides some of the neighbors but that's more of mom acquaintances, and in school, everyone has a stick of the ass so high is coming out of their mouths. so here are my options to earn the money and not sleep on the streets.

1) Become a Merc (no one will even look at me because I'm just a nobody and I don't know any fixer besides the ones from the game and those guys are top profile and only work with experienced mercs "or that what my memories tell me" so that a no go for now at least) 

2) steal the money from somewhere that is low profile enough no one will ask questions 

3) Borrow the money from someone "pufhg HAHAHAH! (nope this is Night City! For real! lol)

(well that's all I have, option 2 is gonna have to do, and I know just the place to steal from. Thank you memories from David and a random gangster I hear talking on the metro)

(Later that night 9 pm Santo Domingo) 

I'm currently behind a dumpster waiting, waiting for what? well I decided to take a risk and steal from a little abandoned building that's close to the badlands, which currently has 7 people inside, or at least that's what I think from the 4 hours I was here waiting. ("I decide to steal from the scabs, they are the gang that has the least control on SAN DOM, or at least that is what my memories tell me. From the gossip in the street they said that they are trying to take some territory from the 6 street gang that controls most SAM DOM and this building is one of the newer bases they have)

I quietly claim the building that's behind their base and jump just in time to see through the window on the 3 floor as I land by the roof entranced " ugff that was close I almost did not make it" I look around and see a sky window by the door on the roof, I peak to see and to mine surprised I see 3 people on a couch with a brain dance devices and 2 in the other couch sleep or high as hell there is one more by the door just sitting by a chair ( I saw him from behind the dumpster when I was waiting for the take to infiltrated the building) and the last one is in the second floor. I saw him through the window when I jumped.

I descent trough the stairs to see one guy on a computer watching porn "Perfect" I quietly move and grave him by the neck to choke him and put the rag with alcohol in his mouth (thank god mom had alcohol in the med kid at home) "fuck this guy is strong" I struggle a bit but after 40 seconds he goes limp a search his body and find 80 eddies a gun "nice I can use this" and a knife.

I keep looking around for anything worth some extra eddies but I can only find the gun and the eddies. I left the man in a closet and went downstairs and did the same to the other five guys in the room on the first floor, I went to check outside by the door and for this last guy I had to be careful since his awake so I went behind his back grab him by the neck and choke him and put the rag in his mouth. This guy almost got out of the chokehold but after 1 minute of struggle I put him down " fuck that was close" I search him for any loot and found some eddies and a submachine gun, went back inside and search the rest of the guys by the couch and took all of the money and 3 more pistols and one knife. I was about to leave when I saw a door behind a couple of boxes and went to check out. 

What I found was a basement and as soon as I went downstairs, what I saw made me want to vomit. on a table was a body with no limbs and lots of blood " fuck! This is gross" but just as I was about to leave I saw a reflection of a person on the laptop by another table in the back by some boxes, and by some miracle, I drop to the ground just in time for the door behind me to become a pile of rubble from the shot that just miss me, by some instinct I did not know I had grabbed the gun I looted from the first guy I incapacitate and shot.

and the guy drop but I shot again and immediately got up went to the body a shot 10 more times until the gun just made a click, click sound, then I ran back up and started trying to catch my breath "fuck!fuck!fuck argh! That was so close I almost died back there huffed! Ok, stop thinking just do.

As much as I did not want to go back to the basement I had to to check if there was anything valuable. The first thing I did was check on the guy who almost killed me, he only had the shotgun and pistol and now that I looked closer he looked like one of those guys from the Maelstrom gang, I kept looking around and it was only now I noticed that the guy in the middle of the table who's limbs are detached in one of the detached arms has a tattoo of the 6 street gang. I keep looking around only to see a couple of boxes I open all of them only to find a couple of machine parts, one with security cameras, another with turrets, and one with a lot of drugs. I kept looking around and finally found a small box, I opened it and found a lot of eddies and chards, I took it and the laptop that saved my life and went back upstairs and finished cleaning everything valuable like guns, shards, and eddies from the remaining guys and also cleaned any evidence I was here and left the building. 

3 hours later I was finally back at home tired. I dropped everything on the floor, went to the bathroom took a shower went to bed, and finally fell asleep.

(Hello Author here: so the MC is from 2022 and has not watched Edgrunners or played the DLC for the game keep that in mind also the MC has always been David is just the new memories have taken a front seat since he just got them and he is trying to assimilate them in his new life)
