Origin Island

Everyone agreed with this added level of preparation and the meeting finally ended and Alex was left with the task of peeling the third fleet master off of him as she refused to leave the warmth he provided. In case it hadn't been made obvious at this point the third fleet master REALLY hated the cold. In the end Alex simply stopped providing the heat causing him to get a look of betrayal from her that he ignored as the cold eagerly crept in to fill the heats place. Left with little choice the third fleet master bundled up and rushed to the canteen that was nice and warm at all times.-

Zane's preparations took a couple of days to finish since he needed a couple extra materials to upgrade his thunder blade to it's best currently possible state. This meant he had to go and hunt down the monsters whose parts were needed which was in this case a kirin. The things had a steady population in the coral highlands that had started having it's master rank members appear giving the hunters access to superior materials. Alex merely gave the male hunters wearing kirin hide assless chaps a strange look when he saw them but didn't mention it.-

When the time finally came Zane had his thickest most durable armor on in preparation to tank hits if needed. 'You look like you might actually be able to take a hit now , though not from me obviously.' Alex teased and Zane snorted. "Yeah yeah , we all know you are the strongest around but I am the most skilled hunter." the man said with a proud expression. 'Only because you aren't a monster like me other wise I would be the most skilled hunter.' Alex said with a chuckle.-

"Good to see this mission hasn't gotten to your heads any." the admiral said as he walked up. 'At this point it's just another day for me , no idea about this guy though.' Alex said pointing at Zane. "Bah , I'm fine since I'm going with the big lizard here. If the two of us can't fix the problem it simply can't be fixed." Zane said confidently. "I believe it too. Seen a lot in my time but you two are something else alright." the admiral said with a grin. 'Enough chit chat we have an elder dragons day to ruin.' Alex said impatiently causing the other two to laugh before Zane climbed onto Alex's back.-

The origin Island which was the place shara ishvalda created with it's disturbances was a fairly small place all things considered that lacked any form of vegetation and was covered in sharp jagged protrusions of earth. The entire island was a mix of dull earthen brown and black volcanic rock that had two levels to it. Though from the air the second deeper level was not visible so Alex merely landed on the round arena of the first area. Zane looked around in confusion but before he could say anything Alex reacted and struck out with his front claw knocking the ruiner nergigante that tried to ambush them to the side.-

Clearly this version of the nergigante species was different than the others as not only was it almost pitch black from head to tail but it was also much more durable as it merely shrugged off the hit it took and stood up perfectly fine and raring to go. Alex couldn't help but breaking out into a feral grin as adrenaline began pumping into his system from the thrill of the challenge.-

Zane on the other hand grabbed the thunder longsword he had along side the elementless one on his back and jumping off Alex's back to get ready to clash with the nergigante. Yellow eyes met red ones as Alex and the ruiner locked vision with neither willing to back down and with a resounding "Crack!" Alex stomped his feet and charged at the ruiner violently. The ruiner wasn't to be out done however and also charged at Alex and the two monsters of brute force clashed in the middle causing the ground to crack from the sheer impact.
