1 PROJECT ANNIHILATION

Chapter 1

1995 KINGSVILLE CITY

The crime rate had been increasing daily,the government couldn't keep it under control, they had to do something.They searched for the best scientists in the city to help them build something that could keep things under control, something stronger than a human, something more powerful.They needed a weapon strong enough to take down the criminals .Among the scientists they hired was proffessor Wayne Kendall.He had graduated a few years ago .He was short, well shaved with brown hair and blue eyes,in his early thirties.He had a wife and a son named Ben

"Mr Wayne,you made it" Samantha Wales who was the mayor of the city said welcoming him inside the laboratory.

Inside there were two engineers and two other scientists.

"Mr Wayne,meet Robert Blecker and Jack Blecker these two are the best robotic engineers in town , and that over there is Mark Williams and the other one is mary Anderson,they are also one of the finest scientists in town"Samantha introduced him.

"hi there"Mary said stretching out her hand."so you are proffessor Wayne,I thought you'd be older"she said with a chuckle.

" Anyway,we all know why we are here,"Samantha said cutting there conversation.

" for the last six months the crime rate has increased rapidly, the criminals are getting stronger day by day.This is because of firearms they are acquiring from local crime lords, I've talked to people in higher ranks and they've given me permission to eliminate all crime lords"she explained as she went and sat down in a chair

"These crime lords are powerful andwe can't risk taking them head on,we need something to fight them,as of the moment our police department isn't strong enough to do that,we need a weapon"

"so your saying you want us to make a something to destroy them"Mark asked.

"Yes"Samantha answered"something like that, so I've told most of the things you need to know, know I'll need you to answer sign these contracts and you can begin your work tomorrow." she continued."we only have sixty days to take these criminals down so make it fast"

Professor Wayne was to design the robot and the other were to help him.They were to make five of them.

DAY1

They all arrived at the laboratory as agreed.They started by designing it's body parts, it's weaponry and it's cybernetic enhancements.

"Do you see this microchip, With it you can give orders the robot,but I've designed the robot to learn like a human being but faster of course,"professor Wayne explained showing them a microchip "it will also give it technopathy"he continued

DAY 28

"For the last four Weeks we've been working on robots day and night and now that we're done, we'll almost done we're going to test, but first we're going to introduce them to the government"professor Wayne said to the others."The commander of Weapons Defense Military Technology Kings ville is here,so be prepared for your presentation"professor Wayne said to the others.

After a while they were outside in the field ready to present their projects.General Kevin Pratt,a tall, well built man with gray hair in his fifties was the one representing the W.D.M.T Kings ville.

"So scientists,show me what these machines are capable of"he said

"well,they are everything you need, That one is Annihilator 2 .0 and the those on your left are 3.0 ,4.0 and 5.0 .This one here is Annihilator 1.0, he's actually the strongest of them all,he can learn like a human being while the others can't, ones he's been given an order he will stop at nothing untill it's fulfilled"Mark said

"but to keep him under control we've made a microchip which can shut them any time if you have the right coordinates" Mary added.

"1.0 is the leader of the group, he'll be the one commanding the team while they are on a mission they will do and follow whatever he says,if he's destroyed the others won't be able to function properly" she continued.

"okay enough talking i want to see them in action"the commander said

"I will fast activate them and give them a orders to destroy that boulder over there"the professor said typing in his tablet.

Suddenly the robots activated and leapt into the air, while they were still in mid air they fired missiles and they watched as the missiles went hit the boulders causing an explosion.

"Now that is what i wanted to see,So when will they be fully ready"the commander asked

"we'll we still need a some time to do more testings, after that they'll be ready" professor Wayne answered

"Make it fast, people aren't going to save themselves"the commander said

DAY 45

On day forty five they sent the robots and the mission was successful,they took down fifteen powerful crime lords in a day

DAY 48 and 50

On these two days they cleared the whole town,they took down all remaining crime lords

but something went wrong,no one knew what happened,all they knew is that the annihilators wanted to destroy the government and nothing was gonna stop it.professor Wayne tried to shut them down but it wasn't working

DAY52

The Annihilators flew through the city towards the city hall, the police gathered around and formed a blocked to stop them"Freeze"one of the officers said

"why should we,we have a mission to fulfill"the annihilator said,The police took out his gun and fired, the bullets hit the annihilator but bounced off harmlessly,in response the Annihilators fired missiles at them, blasting off the blockade.

Professor Wayne arrived at the city council only to find dead police officers at the entrance,he looked on the other side and saw the culprits."wait, stop right there, I order you"professor Wayne shouted.1.0 annihilator turned "this is not what you were built to do"he said

"This is exactly what we were made for, to eliminate criminals,just like your leaders"the annihilator said

"No that's not it"he shouted but the annihilator grabbed him, hoisted him above the air and threw him a good twenty feet smashing him into a wall.

just at that moment the military arrived"men take your positions"captain Henry Paige said as he alighted the Jeep,On the other side there arrived two military tanks, without a word they opened fired and the robots returned the favour.The Annihilator leapt into the air and landed on one tanker it grabbed it and flew away with it and then dropped it on top of the other tanker crashing it.

The other tanker fired and blasted Annihilator 5.0 making it into pieces.The other Annihilators all at once attacked the tank destroying it in to pieces.They then continued to attack the soldiers killing them left and right.

Captain Henry Paige watched in horror as his soldiers died in every direction,he couldn't take it anymore,he had to do something,he saw a RPG lying on the floor and took it,he he took an aim and fired,the force was so strong that it made him stumble backwards,it went and hit the middle Annihilator, blasting it into pieces. Immediately the others collapsed, falling in the grass with a thud, Captain Henry breathed a sigh of relief as the other soldiers cheered

Professor Wayne watched the whole fight in horror,he saw the Annihilators destroying soldiers,he saw captain Henry blast Annihilator 1.0.But he knew that was not the end, 1.0 wasn't like 5.0 ,he could regenerate,he was invincible.He was the one who built the robots and he knew that in just seconds it Will regenerate and be back on it's feets and so will the others.

He quickly approched the man who had just blasted the Annihilator.

"Sir, we need to get everyone out of this place"

"my men are on it,every thing is under control" he said courageously.

"No those"before he could finish talking he saw the metals forming together and in minutes the Annihilator was standing there in front of them, the others slowly woke up to.It took an aim and fire.

Without any hesitation professor Wayne grabbed captain Henry's hand and yanked him just as a missiles was about to hit him

"You built that thing,how do we defeat it"Captain Henry asked as the Annihilators attacked the rest of the soldiers

"That's why I came here in the first place,i think I have a way"professor Wayne shouted over the deafening noise of artilleries .

"How"

"I'll explain on the later,but now we need them to follow us"

"how"captain Henry asked again

"with this tablet,,when I switch it on the lead robot will follow it but not the others,he has to follow it no matter what,but it can only work for eight minutes"the professor explained as they rushed into the vehicle.

"why won't the others follow"

"Because he is the one giving them orders and he can't do that while being controlled, when I turn it on,the others will be useless without his signals".

"when do you switch it on"

"when we reach there"

"where exactly"the captain asked persistently

"There is this project I've been working on for a long time now, it's about dimensional traveling, it's not ready yet but we've no other choice"

professor Wayne said as they sped up

"The portal is at the national park and that's where we are going"he continued

"Are you saying we're going to send him to another dimension"

"yes, I just hope it will work"

"why"

"Because the way I made the robots, I made 1.0 invincible, we can't defeat him, sending him to another dimension he will be harmless to us and the others will be harmless too without him"

They arrived at the park and rushed in

"this way"professor Wayne said leading the way

They were soon standing in front of a hill"where to now"captain Henry asked.

"We go inside those the caves"professor Wayne answered.

Captain Henry looked closely and saw little caves.They entered them and captain Henry saw a big circular machine

"what's that"he asked.

"It's the dimensional traveling machine it's the one activating the portal "professor Wayne said as he pressed the buttons and suddenly a red vortex appeared at the centre.

"Now,i call the Annihilator"he took out his tablet and entered coordinates and then pressed a green button.

"They are on their way,once they are here,pull that lever and cling on to anything you can ". professor Wayne said pointing at a red lever

"okay, but why cling on to anything"Henry asked.

"Because the machines force is going to be strong and it might suck you inside"professor Wayne answered.

Moments later the Annihilator 1.0 arrived still being controlled by the device Captain Henry sneaked behind them to pull the lever but it was stuck,he tried with all his might but it was still stuck"come on"he groaned.

Seven minutes had already passed and now they only had one minute, professor Wayne came to help him but it was still stuck

"why won't it move"he shouted.

"How much time do we have"captain Henry asked.

"Thirty seconds"he shouted back

They pulled with all their might and to their relief it started moving slowly

"Ten,nine,eight, seven,six, five, four, three, two,one"professor Wayne counted the seconds as he pulled the lever.The lever had reached its end and nothing had happened.The red vortex was still there in the centre of the Dimensional traveling machine.

The Annihilator regained his control and turned facing the people who had controlled himto this place.

He leapt into the air to attack them but suddenly their was a strong force pulling him backwards.

professor Wayne and captain Henry both took shelter behind the rocks.

The Annihilator were struggling to fight the force but it was too strong.1.0 raised his fist and blasted the machine but it only became stronger, pulling everything inside even the boulders were being sucked in .One boulder came and hit the Annihilator sending it inside the portal.

The force was still strong and the caves were now collapsing

"we have to get out of this place"captain Henry yelled over the sizzling noise.

Big boulders fell from the caves roof and hit the machine,the machine went off.

"The machine might be broken but this place is still collapsing let's go"captain Henry continued yelling.The the two sprinted through the boulders dodging falling rocks and soon they jumped out of the caves as it all crumbled down.

Chapter 2

PRESENT DAY

Gabriel Paige walked down stairs going to the dinning room, his mother and friends were waiting for him. Today they had a feast at his home. They were celebrating his graduation. He had just graduated from college. He went and took a seat at the end side of the table,On his side was his best friend Isabel who had just graduated too. On the other side was his older sister Karen who lives in another town with her husband Jonathan.Opposite them was his younger sister Christine who was still in college. Their mother Olivia Paige came holding another dish filled with beef and broccoli stir fry .

"okay, that's all of it"she said as she set them down. She took a seat.Before they ate they held hands and Gabriel said a short prayer "Heavenly father,we thank you because you are the giver of life,today we celebrate Isabel's and my graduation, remind us of your faithful provision when our efforts fail us or fall short .May all the glory go up to you when we reach the finish line and climb over benchmarks.Bless us with your peace and thank you for this family Amen."he finished and they started eating.

"So Gabe, what is your plan, what will you do now that you have finished college"Karen asked.

"Find a job i guess, as a matter of fact i think I would go to apply for a job at Kendall laboratories as mechanical engineer" He answered.

"What about you Isabel"Christine asked.

" we'll I'm going to be a Physician, but I'm not in a rush,i mean she's a doctor and you also want to be a doctor"she Isabel answered

"seems like you're taking your mother's steps"Olivia said

"I am, she's the one who inspired me and I've always wanted to help people and being a physician is the best way to do that" she answered.

"You know, that's the reason i became a soldier, to help people, to protect my nation, but after my husband's disappearance,i decided to retire and take care of my children" Olivia said.

"By the way, you never told how exactly your husband went missing"she said.

"It was a few years after i had given birth to Christine, Henry received a call from the military telling him that they needed him and it was urgent,he packed his things and left.

I didn't hear from him for a long time so I went looking for him.

The military told me lost he's on a mission and i couldn't contact . Later they told that that they've lost contact with the team.They sent a team to look for them but they never found a thing,no clue,no lead nothing up to now" she said

"Do you think he's alive"Isabel asked.

"Of course he's alive, I can feel it"Olivia answered.

"Okay enough about that, let's just enjoy our meal"Gabriel said ending the conversation

Andrew Blecker sat on his bed near the window watching the beautiful sunset.Everything seemed so peaceful, but deep down he knew there was nothing such as peace in his house ever since her mother died. His brother had become a drug addict and his father,he just didn't get him at all. Years before his mother had passed away, everything was perfect, their family was always happy.Their father was always there for them, his brother was a good boy who never abused drugs.

sitting here now reflecting on all that,he wished he could travel back through time.

"knock knock Andy, you in there"he heard his beither call.He slowly stood up and went and opened the door. There stood his brother,tall with green eye and black hair wearing black pants and blue,even from the distance Andrew could smell alcohol in his breath.

"Yeah"he asked.

"Father wants to see you" he said .

"okay, I'm coming"Andrew answered.

He walked down stairs and he saw his father standing there.

"Dad, you asked for me"

"Yes,i did"he answered.

"I'll be going on a business trip tomorrow and i need you to keep things under control while I'm away.Watch over your brother, make sure he doesn't get into yet another fight or taken to juvenile detention again I'm counting on you Andrew"he said and then left.

Professor Wayne walked round his laboratory looking for his son,well his son's replacement.Afew years after he had been defeated the Annihilators,he lost his son in an accident,not being able to let go,he transferred his son's memories in an android which resembled his son.The android's behaviour was same to his son's . Everything was the same except that this one was an android and his son was human.

"There you are, I've been looking for you every where" he said as he approached Ben who was typing inhumanly.

"Hey dad, I'm just finishing this"Android Ben answered

"I've picked up some strange signals and im still trying to find out what they are,I mean I've seen lots of signals but nothing like this" He continued.

"Let me see "professor Wayne said as he took a seat near the computer"They look familiar" He suddenly got shocked,He recognised the signals, they were from his inter dimensional traveling machine.

"That can't be,it got destroyed years ago"he said in disbelief and then a horrific thought hit him like thunder,if the machine survived them maybe the Annihilator too survived.
