1 Prologue - Circle of Life: Rebirth

The wind was blowing while there I was on the edge of a cliff. The breathtaking sunset and a clear sky painted with orange, red and pink hues took my breath away. While the lush and green forest grew below my feet.

It was springtime. And soon the warm coloured hues started to change into darker shades of blue and black. While twinkling stars replaced the sun. And warm spring breeze began to turn chilly.

This circle of life went on and on. The seasons changed and went back again.

Was I regretful of how my life went? Have I ever wished to change my choices to avoid this moment? The answer is no. I have no regrets nor would I change it. After all, this last moment of peace is my last redemption.

In my life, I have read a lot of novels, watched loads of anime, played a ton of games and lived my life as a weeb.

But now here I am at the edge of a cliff and my life. Laying down in my pool of blood while waiting for my last breath.

You are probably wondering how I ended up in this state?

Well, it all started in this damned morning...

It was like any other day. I woke up, washed up, ate my plain breakfast and went to work. After an exhausting day at my office, I have decided to take a detour and clear my mind.

Ahh, and just my luck made me stumble upon a murder and here I am now - a second victim.

Maybe if I wasn't a lazy potato and exercised more I would have managed to outrun the killer. Or perhaps if I was a tad bit smarter I wouldn't be dying now?

What a damn hypocrite I am! Of course, I don't want to die! I'm still young and haven't even reached my 30's! How many shows I won't be able to finish... And my unfinished books... Ahh ohh my God no. Just not my browser history! I haven't deleted it yet... I might as well die of shame instead. Were my last thoughts before I slipped into complete darkness.

Silence. Darkness. Silence and darkness. Is this what death feels like? Somehow I feel disappointed. *Sign* whatever.
