8 Chapter 8 Shocking news regarding the fire!

Two weeks had passed. Sara had spent most of her days at the hospital by the side of Charlie and Ruby. They had been moved into the same room on Sara's request. She would sit and talked to them even if she got no reply as they had been unconscious since they had been in the hospital due to their injuries. They were recovering much better. Their breathing was improving but their burns were healing very slowly.

Sara returned to their burnt out home, she found that only the back of the house was affected by the fire. The upper bedroom above the kitchen were damaged by the fire.

Sara met with one of the inspectors regarding the fire of the house. She was shocked as the inspection revealed that someone had deliberately set the house on fire! The police were now involved and she was to go to the station to answer questions on who she thinks could have caused such a horrendous crime. Sara was devastated by the news and couldn't think of any enemies as her family were well loved.

Sara sat thinking who could it be?? She was not aware of enemies of her family who would want her whole family dead? Was it planned? Why her innocent siblings and why her parents? Dad was a businessman and mum was a doctor both kind hearted and always helped others. Why her family? Were they safe? Were Charlie and Ruby safe? Lastly was she safe?

Now all that echoed in her head was I need to be with Charlie and Ruby to protect them. Do they know what happened that night?

Late afternoon Sara was interviewed by a detective. Jonus Jones asked

"Miss Black, on the night questions can you clarify where you were and who you were with?

" Am I a suspect? " she replied.

" No miss we need to dismiss any know people weather they are suspects or not anyone that is close to the case. We have to question all the people known to the victims (sorry your family). And investigate anything or anyone related to them. "

"Can I ask who else have you questioned?" asked Sara

"we are still investing to find suspects and that takes a while. As we need to look at all your father's business deals and rivals or any people he may have p*ssed off! Also need to look at people your mum saved or people your mum couldn't safe and if they have had any threats. So it will be a while."

Sara was in a daze about the whole answer the detective gave. She couldn't think of anyone that her parents mentioned or were worried about. She didn't know even if her parents were threatened.

Detective Jone asked again." so can you tell me where you were so I can rule you out of this investigation".

"I had been down to the coast at my friend's wedding. It was at the White Pearl hotel." she replied. "most of my friends were there and I had gone down a week before hand as I helped organise it all. I wanted this wedding perfect for my best friend Ruth and her husband Alan."

"do you have anyone in mind that would have wanted your all family dead"? Asked detective Jonas.

"my parents were well loved. I don't know who would want them dead!"

She answered "my parents didn't even mention anyone who were upset with them either. I truly don't know why this has happened to my family... Please could you find out... I don't know if my brother, sister or myself are safe. Do you think we are still in danger??"
