14 Chapter Thirteen: Confession Time - January 10th 2027

Vixi sighed before looking up at Dirt and saying, "Derek to be completely honest I don't have a clue. Kat is constantly looking the other way and never gives me the time of day and then something happened when we were at Sigma."

"Kat has always been a little thick when it comes to girls and their intentions or desires." replied Dirt only to pause and look at her with a raised eyebrow before adding, "Wait did you just call me Derek?"

"Yes. I figured with how serious this conversation was going to be that well it'd be best for me to call you by your real name unless you'd rather I call you Dirt?" replied Vixi with a half smile.

"No its just odd hearing my real name since the only ones who ever use it are my mother and Val, who only does because he thinks nicknames are pointless and a waste of time and energy." replied Dirt with a smile, "It's a good change for once."

"Thanks Derek." replied Vixi before asking, "Did you experience anything odd or strange while or since we've been at Sigma?"

"Other then you showing up here early in the morning period let alone on a weekend day? Not that I can think of, but then again all I've really done is examine the things I gathered from there." explained Dirt with a smile. "You?"

"Well, I had a strange dream or more of a nightmare the night we slept there." confessed Vixi figuring that was the best place to start.

"Well I'm not psychologist but maybe I might be able to decipher a bit of it." replied Dirt with a smile as he finished his food before asking, "So tell me what the dream was about."

"Do I have to?" asked Vixi as she wrapped her arms around herself not really wanting to revisit that scary moment.

"Well I guess not but I can't help you figure out if it means anything in particular or if you just ate some bad jerky." relied Dirt with a shrug of his shoulders.

"Okay. It wasn't a long dream and it seemed almost real. I woke up in the shop were we had slept covered in blood. I looked around to see you and Val had been mauled by some creature or that's what I'd thought until I looked down to see myself tearing into Kat and eating him. It was at that point that I realized my hands were actually huge wolf like paws. " replied Vixi, "You're the history buff, is there any record of werewolves in Michigan?"

"Not that I've found but Michigan does have it's legend of the Dogman which could be a form of werewolf." replied Dirt with a gulp before asking, "Was there anything else to the dream?"

"No. I woke up after that." replied Vixi still holding herself tightly.

"Is that why you wanted to leave right away?" asked Dirt with a raised eyebrow. This all was oddly interesting to him and though it was really out there he believed her for some strange reason.

"No that is because when we all stepped out into the day light I had a vision of how Sigma looked a long time ago." explained Vixi, "It was filled with all sorts of creatures and beings who seemed to have spotted me and one werewolf like creature approached me saying something about me not being the Wolf Queen or something like that. He then began to choke me."

"What happened next?" asked Dirt now on the edge of his seat needing to know everything that she saw and did. Mo importantly what was it about this Wolf Queen and why was it so important to Sigma?

"The vision faded and we walked around the ruined town until Kat made you leave." replied Vixi "Why?"

"Are you sure the werewolf said the words Wolf Queen?" asked Dirt fully focused and watching her every move.

"Yes why?" asked Vixi even more worried then she'd been at the beginning of the conversation.

"Many of the items that I found in the ruined of Sigma mention the return of the Wolf Queen or the reign of the Wolf Queen. These two things may be connected and to know the truth we may need to go back to Sigma but fear not for now I want to do some research. As for you I need you to find a way to convince the others to return with us." explained Dirt with a smile.

"I think Kat will go just because I want to go and know that isn't my wishful dreams. I honestly think he'd be concerned and want to keep me safe. As for Val I'm not sure if anyone could ever convince him to return to Sigma with us." sighed Vixi as she looked at the ground scared.

"Then we don't go until we can get everyone on board with returning." replied Dirt with an encouraging smile.

"Could we possible be able to not go back to Sigma?" asked Vixi still not wanting to return there.

"It's the only way we might be able to find the answers we need about this Wolf Queen." sighed Dirt looking over at her before adding, "I know it's a scary thought but it's what needs to be done."

"I know I just don't know if I'm ready for more of that?" replied Vixi as she slowly stood shaking not sure what to do next.

"Hay don't think about it for now just focus on school and why don't you just go bug Kat for a little bit?" teased Dirt trying to cheer her up a bit.

"Thanks Derek I'll see you in class tomorrow." replied Vixi with a half smile as she started to turn and leave only to add over her shoulder, "Bye Derek"

"Bye Vixi." replied Dirt with a smile which quickly faded.

"She's cute. Why didn't you ask her to stay?" asked Dirt's mother who came up behind him and smiled as she took a seat next to him.

"Mom, she's my friend and well she has other things to do." replied Dirt as his cheeks started to turn red with embarrassment.
