5 Chapter Four: January 9th 2020

The next morning Vixi blinked as she slowly opened her eyes to smile as she spotted Kat's arm around her. That is until he yawned and rolled away from her before stretching and sitting up. Kat then smiled at Vixi who just laid there glade they made it through the night.

Just then her eyes shot wide open at the sight of Val holding a rat up to his mouth from behind Kat causing her to shake. She quickly blinked her eyes to make sure it wasn't her imagination and when she did so it seemed as if it must've been since Val wasn't holding anything and was in fact glaring at her.

"Can we go now?" snapped Val with his hands on his hips, "We did the dare and stayed the night in this stupid ghost town ow can we leave?"

"No, I want to search things out and learn some of the untold history of this place." pleaded Dirt with a dirty grin as he looked around.

"I'm with Val on this one I just want to get out of this creepy place." added Vixi as she slowly stood up to join the others.

"Hay I'm not scared I just hate all of this filth and dirt." replied Val with his arms crossed.

"Enough, Val you can handle the dirt a little longer so we can do a little exploring." replied Kat as he walked over to Vixi and placed a hand on her shoulder before adding, "Vixi I'll keep you safe okay it will only be another hour or two at the most."

"What?" asked Dirt more shocked that he wouldn't get the whole day to investigate.

"Pleased consider that Vixi is scared of this place and I don't blame her. As for Val he is having a dirt attack over the filth and cobwebs." explained Kat with a stern glare. "So to be fair to everyone only one to two more hours so we best get packed up and moving on."

"Okay, you guys get packed up so I can get an early start on it." replied Dirt with a smile.

"No!" ordered Kat as he helped Vixi clean up her things and get all packed up, "We all stay together so get over her and clean up your things."

"Fine." huffed Dirt as he walked over to his things and started to shove his things into his bag before tossing it on his back. As for Val he's been packed for twenty minutes now and just watched in amazement at how much of a mess he can cause but yet there was something about him that made his heart flutter.

"Good." replied Kat as he took Vixi in his arm and lead the way out of the shop pausing to blink once outside so s to let his eye adjust to the light. At which point he looked around for where they should investigate while keeping in mind Vixi's fears.

Speaking of Vixi she looked around more in shock then anything else since through her eyes nothing appeared as it had the night before nor as everyone else did. In fact she saw it as it used to look before the attack but that wasn't what scared her the most. No she was scared by the fact that the town was filled with wolfmen, catmen, elves, dwarves, goblins, gnomes and humans.

Just then one of the wolfmen stopped in his movements and turned to face her and just as their eyes met he smiled and started towards her. This caused her to nervously shake which alerted Kat who turned to look her in the eyes before following her gaze towards a run down bar.

"Vixi are you okay?" asked Kat placing a hand on her shoulder as he once more looked her in the eyes and when she didn't answer he added, "Vixi?"

"Hm? Oh its nothing." replied Vixi as things had returned to their dilapidated state when she looked at Kat. "I just thought I saw something moving over there is all."

"Well, he wants to go check out the buildings over here so we wont be going near there." replied Kat with a smile as he took her hand. Both actions calmed her heart and while making her heart flutter. Yet there was part of her that was still scared. Had she really been the only one to see the town rebuilt and with all of those creatures wandering its streets.

Was there someone or something trying to tell her that she needed to do something or was it to warn her of something? Yet she also couldn't seem to shake the feeling she was still being watched and every so often when she'd look over her shoulder she almost could swear she saw the wolfman from earlier.

Then just as they were about to call it a day and while Kat and Val helped Dirt load up the artifacts he wanted to take with him for further studying Vixi felt a large paw on her shoulder and a warm breath on the back of her neck. Shaking she felt a cold nose brush the side of her cheek as the wolfman began to breath in her ear.

"Victoria my child it's good to see you've returned to us. I know you're scared but one day you will boldly walk these streets in your true form and once more the house of Trixvonia will rule these woods and this land." whispered the wolfman in her ear and thus only scared her more as she couldn't even move out of fear. "Only four more years and then you will take your rightful place as queen of the werewolves."

With that the wolfman then licked the side of her face before vanishing leaving her standing where she was frozen in fear and horror. What had just happened? What was she supposed to do? Who could she tell and would they even believe her?

Just then a soft peace seeped into her as her heart filled with warmth and joy at the sight of Kat smiling and walking right towards her. She couldn't place it but just something about his smile made all of her fears and worries just fade away. Maybe he would believe her but what if he just thought she was crazy and never talked to her again.

Well no time to fret over it right now anyways...
