13 YOU WANT SOME?

“You want some?” Krist asked Vanessa.

Vanessa was busy for the upcoming school publication contest where their organization opened for poetry and essay. While she was busy designing the posters, Krist apparently appeared in front of her while eating his favorite fries with cheese. Krist offered the fries to her but before taking some, she suddenly recalled the moment when Austin brought fries and sodas to her apartment.

“Wait a minute!” I remember something!” she said.

“What is it?” he confidently asked.

When she had a hint that Krist was the one who informed Austin about it, she hit him on his head strong enough to vex. Krist suddenly ran away to avoid Vanessa’s way of tormenting him. He immediately shouted inside the office while claiming that he didn’t do something Vanessa’s accusing for. Vanessa was certain enough to blame him for that. They were running inside of the office as if they were kids playing around without worries at all.

Suddenly, Krist went outside but Vanessa grabbed him. When she got the chance, she beat him innocently. They were laughing while she was exaggeratedly blaming him for knowing Austin about it. Then, she asked him about the extent of the information he disseminated to Austin.

“Nothing! It’s just that! Promise?”

“Liar!”

She hit him again. Krist ran away until the two found out that Austin was gleefully watching them. They were shocked when they saw him but Austin was just smiling – just a naïve smile on his face.

“What are you doing here?” She urgently asked.

Without words being uttered, he slowly took a newly bought novel book on his bag and gave it to Vanessa. Vanessa was in awe because she saw the novel book she wanted to buy. Recently, she posted it on her My Day and mentioning about her dream to buy the book sooner. Yet, she guessed the right time arrived.

“For you!” Austin said.

“Are you sure? It’s for me?”

“Yes, I bought it for you!”

After sending her thanks, Austin smiled back and left the two speechless. While he was walking away, she couldn’t take her eyes off him. She murmured that he was still good looking even from the back view. When Austin was far from view, she looked back to the book and she couldn’t imagine possessing “The Astounding Tale of Howard’s Intelligence” novel. Her smile was contagious because even Krist couldn’t hide his happiness towards his friend. Vanessa was totally over the moon. Her happiness was totally incomparable.

“I think I’m in love.” She whispered.

One day, Austin brought flowers for Vanessa to express his admiration to the girl and to let her know about his pure intention. When the school publication head writer received the flowers from the King of the University, she felt totally elated, she could not imagine that day will come, that regardless how she repressed her emotion, her true feeling towards the guy occurred, and interestingly, it happened gradually, it happened in a way she herself could not comprehend.

After a while, she and Krist went inside the office, while heading their way back there, she kept on smelling the flowers like a bride on a wedding, her smile never faded away and it resided on her face. Krist, which apparently was like an invisible man, studied her entire countenance.

Due to his consistent effort and changed behavior, Vanessa wasn’t able to help herself but to fall in love. She became more inspired in everything she does. She always smiled, her emotion and feelings towards Austin suddenly changed. Frown turned into joy, angry turned into smiles and hatred turned into love. She was swallowing all the words she uttered before. Now, the hater became the lover.

“Are you sure?” Krist heard his whisper and asked.

Krist advised her that if she was sure enough with her decision to allow Austin on her life. It would be better as well if she inform Mitch about it. Krist was trying to reconsider the feeling of their friend. Suddenly, Mitch was arriving on the office, bringing some foods to eat because she knew Vanessa would be very busy for the upcoming competition.

“Hey guys! Surprised!” she shouted.

Mitch seldomly visited the office and most of the time, she was spending her time dancing. Mitch was part of the performing arts of the University where they performed different dances for various guest and competitions. The two were shocked upon her arrival but Krist saw that situation a blessing. Krist was signaling her friend to disclose everything to their friend, Mitch.

“This is for you Vanessa! And this one is for Krist.” Mitch handed in the drinks for her friends.

They both sent their thanks. Mitch noticed that two were quiet that’s why she asked where the silence was coming from. Up until Krist helped Vanessa by stating the opening remarks.

“Vanessa wanted to say something!”

Vanessa was shocked when she was pushed by Krist to talk but that chance was a great venture for her to speak out the truth about her feelings towards Austin. Surprisingly, Mitch had an idea about the disclosure that’s why she mentioned the name of Austin.

“Is this about Austin?” she guessed. Vanessa became too confident when Mitch knew that it was all about him. Mitch talked continuously and said that she had no feeling for that guy.

Mitch had noticed even before that Austin was pursuing Vanessa but she was too silent about it. Mitch took Rick’s advice that’s why her feelings towards him had gone. As a matter of fact, she disclosed something for them. She started cultivating feeling for Rick but now, she wanted to be ready for everything especially in relationship.

The situation turned out to be a moment of Mitch, disclosing her real feeling towards Rick and not for Vanessa, disclosing her feeling toward Austin.

“I’ll be there in a minute sir.” Austin said.

Their organization called him for a meeting for the upcoming King and Queen of the University. The head organizer called him for some important tasks for the foregoing event. Since, he was the reigning king, he was tasked to accumulate the form from each department concerning with their representatives. Together with Queen of the University, they sat together on the office of the head organizer.

“The competition is near. We have a special task for you.” The head organizer mentioned.

“Yes, sir. What is it?” Austin asked the question.

Apart from their duties of collecting the names of the candidates per department, the head organizer wanted them to be part of the staff. In short, they have to be there during rehearsal, photo-shoots and even for promoting the said contest. The two agreed with their given tasks and after hearing those things, they suddenly left the office.

Austin asked Xiara, the Queen of the University to go to the cafeteria to buy snacks before going back to their respective rooms. He said that they never had the chance to talk after the competition. Xiara was doubtful but how could she refuse the invitation from Austin. After a while, the two spotted buying iced coffee to the cafeteria. After several minutes of taking, they parted ways.

“He was with the queen of the university” a student mentioned.

While Vanessa was posting cards on the bulletin wall of each department regarding the contest, she eavesdropped two students talking about Austin. Based on her understanding, Austin was with the Xiara and they were spotted on the cafeteria. All of a sudden, her mood shifted like a wind, from enthusiasm to frown. She felt dejected and she knew that Austin would never change. Without an explanation, she drew conclusion on her mind. Once they were done, she asked her co-officers to go back to the office to get more postcards.

While paving their way back to the office, a man was waiting for him – it was Austin. She bought her an iced coffee and when they reached the office, her co-officers went inside while Vanessa stayed outside. Meanwhile, she was not smiling and her emotion was clothed with jealousy. Austin offered him the drink and she simply took it. Then, Austin honestly said that he was with Xiara. They called their attention by the committee of the King and Queen of the University for the Upcoming Competition. Vanessa smiled when Austin was trying to be honest, even without asking him directly about it. Her feeling towards her became too deep.
