1 YOU'RE A FUCKING CHEATER!

***

“You’re a fucking cheater!”

While Austin was taking his lunch together with his friends Rick and Andrew, a girl suddenly approached him inside the cafeteria. The girl was wearing a different uniform, so they assumed that she came from a different school. She looked ostentatiously infuriated with her dilated eyes, heavy sigh and tiger look. She came all the way from other place just to give Austin a strong and remarkable, damn slap. Then, he accused Austin as a fucking cheater.

The students who were buying foods, the vendors of each stall, the professors who were passing by and even the guard who was taking his lunch heard the boisterous sound of the slap from the girl. The whole world – the whole canteen rather stopped for a minute. The noise brought them together to gaze their attention to that moment. Shockingly terrifying as it may define by others but for Austin, it was just a normal situation – he just got used to it.

“Who are you?” he naively asked.

The girl’s countenance was filled with anger and annoying discomfort when she heard that she was being asked about who she was. Her feeling aggravated due to the unexpected question. With the boiling anger inside her, she slapped him again. That time, it was stronger than the first one, more remarkable than the previous hit because the second slap was coupled with her boisterous, cliché words - “You’re a fucking cheater”.

The girl suddenly left the cafeteria without hesitation. During that confrontational scene, there were students who took photos and even clip of the situation. Most of the students posted those stolen shots online which made Austin the Viral man again. Each photo gained thousands of likes, hundreds of shares and millions of comments.

Austin was not worried at all after the girl left the Cafeteria and even all the people inside were staring at him. He even dared to look at them back and smirked. His friend Rick mentioned that he never knew who that girl was and he was even flabbergasted when she arrived swiftly and slapped him. Andrew jokingly mentioned that girl was the 25th girl who slapped Austin as if Andrew has the list of the girls he flirted with. They laughed together and tried to finish their lunch as if nothing happened.

So that was, Austin. Austin Rivera. He was third year engineering student and was one of the most popular students on the university where he was studying. Not to mention that he won the King of the University when he joined the campus prestigious competition. He gained popularity after winning the contest and by joining the basketball team. He was academically excellent, sport enthusiast and a title holder. Despite of these good records of his, he also had his evil side – he was a playboy. Due to his lean built body, mesmerizing eyes, thick eyebrows, white-toned skin and his amiable personality, he was being fantasized by girls, gays and bisexuals, not to mention other single professors. He was also using his advantage to make a girl fall in love with him.

Austin was always with his bestfriends Rick and Andrew, sharing same interest and hobbies, these three had built their friendship since the first day of class. These three were all good- looking, basketball players and popular in their university. Andrew and Rick were Austin’s partners in crime. However, these two had their serious relationship. They accepted Austin for who he was, regardless of his attitude of handling relationship.

“So, that was the 25th slap from your ex-girlfriend, the 15th slap from a girl outside of the university and the 5th girl who slapped you in the Cafeteria.” Andrew perfectly recalled.

“That is totally accurate man!” Rick uttered.

The three were sitting in the bench as Andrew dared himself to recall and recount the past relationship of his friend, Austin. He remembered that 7 of his ex-girlfriends slapped him in front of the engineering building, 5 from the canteen, 6 from his apartment, 5 from the mall, 1 from the classroom and 1 on the toilet.

He had 10 girlfriends inside the campus from different courses: 2 from engineering, 3 education students, 1 communication art student, 2 psychology students and 2 from the nursing department. The other 15 came from the different schools and universities. He never had any relationship which lasted a month. He always made sure to leave someone unnoticed when he gets bored. He never courted anyone, girls were the one who approached her and do the first move. After few chats, few days, one night conversation, one hour phone call, he always ended up having a relationship with the girl.

“I remember Anna when she gave you flowers.” Andrew mentioned.

“Who can forget Trixie when she hosted a party on your birthday?” Rick added.

“Jean, the prettiest among them all.”

“How about Bambie, the hottest girl on bed.”

“I also remember Jass where she made all your homework for two weeks.”

“Okay, okay, stop it guys.” Austin requested.

They were all laughing when the two brought back everything into Austin’s face. As a matter of fact, Austin had fewer memories with the girls she had relationship with. While waiting for the time for their next subject, a group of girls approached the boys. They were timid and unable to utter their wants when the three were staring at them. The leader of the group gave a present to Austin, she mentioned that one of her friends had a crush on him and had no courage to hand in the freshly-baked cookies she prepared for him.

“Thanks….. for the cookies.” Austin gracefully uttered.

After hearing the words from Austin, the girls giggled and left the bench. The three were not surprised at all because almost every day Austin received presents from his fans. Andrew opened the box and tasted the cookies, he went on to elaborate the best cookies he has ever tasted. Since Austin was not into sweets, he asked Andrew to keep the brownies instead.

“It’s time for next class. Let’s go!” Austin said.

Vanessa was the editor in chief of the school publication and the head of social media in the same university. She had bull’s eyes for Austin who never treated women appropriately. If there was someone who possessed various information and facts about him, it was not Andrew but it was Vanessa indeed. As a matter of fact, she created an article which had an indirect and ulterior motive towards Austin and the playboy in general.

“Have You Really Loved Someone?” the title head of the article.

Most students knew that Vanessa was referring to Austin but she wanted to keep it safe. So she made sure that the article was written to point not one subject but can be viewed in a general sense. Andrew saw the post from the school publication page and he showed it to his friend. Rick mentioned that for sure, the writer was asking Austin if he really loved someone. When Austin heard that, she simply smirked as if he was planning something bad.

After playing basketball, the three decided to head back to the library to check some books for their presentation. Rick and Andrew went directly to the library while Austin went to the wash room to pee. When he was looking inside himself in the mirror, he suspiciously saw someone outside. Hurriedly walking away from the wash room, he tried his very best to chase someone he saw until he found nothing. He went on to the both side of the wash room, but the place looked deserted until she saw a girl walking on the vicinity.

“Excuse me, have you seen someone here?” Austin asked.

“No!” the girl boldly answered.

The girl was shocked and a little bit pale. She was catching her breath as if she was chased by someone. She rushed answering the question and after that, escaping was one of her real deal. When she rapidly responded, she hurriedly stepped her foot forward to walk away. Nonetheless, Austin was puzzled about one thing.

“Excuse me, what is exactly a girl doing on a man’s toilet?” he protested.

Her heart beat so fast so does her perspiration to flow. She halted from walking, thinking the best way to answer his question. Objectively speaking, a woman like her would have no reason to visit male’s comfort room at all. The entire situation was like a riddle for her. She didn’t even know how to respond. She was frozen by her own guilt. She was seemingly perplexed at that time.

Austin was waiting for the girl to speak but minutes later, the girl was still mummed. He gradually walked to widely see the girl’s face. The girl could hear the foot step of Austin and she could not believe that she was stuck on that unexpected quandary. She breathed heavily. She closed her eyes to cover her from embarrassment. Her face was the exact emotion of discouragement. She was praying that someone could save her from that misery.

“Vanessa, right?”

Vanessa nodded slowly. She had no courage to speak. Austin was in front of her but Vanessa was still embarrassed and apparently accepting her defeat after taking photos of Austin. When she gradually opened her eyes to see him, Krist whistled as he walked towards the washroom. For the second time around, Austin asked his second question. Then, Vanessa ran away and moved toward Krist.

“I was looking for my friend Krist.” She loudly answered, confident enough to make him believe that she was telling the truth.

Vanessa coerced Krist to follow her without any idea of what was happening. Krist was badly needed to go to the toilet but Vanessa was uttering her unending gratitude to her friend. They walked away hurriedly and Vanessa helped her friend to another toilet. She was explaining things inside of the man’s toilet without the anticipation that she was inside of toilet supposedly created for boys.

“Thank God! You saved me Krist!” she uttered repeatedly.
