4 WAS I TOO HARSH?

“Was I too harsh?” Vanessa asked.
“I guess, you were!” Krist answered.
A moment of silence took place after the boys left the place. Vanessa felt sad of what she did and she regretted it. She acted as if she was the victim of Austin. She dared asking her friend, Krist about her attitude towards them. Then, without any hesitation, Krist was true to his words and never wanted to conceal anything from his friend that’s why he mentioned her objective opinion of what she did.
“What am I going to do now?” She asked.
“Apologize?”

“Austin, Can I talk to you please.” Mitch begged.
While heading their way to the basketball court, Mitch waited for the boys on the bench near the court. She was anticipating that they’ll pass by on that area and she had never failed by her calculated risk. She ran towards them when she saw Austin from afar. A promise was broken again when Mitch decided to chase the man she loves but had no feeling for her at all. She was begging for Austin just a minute of his time. But because Austin was no longer interested to have any conversation to anyone, but Mitch was persistent until she mentioned that she would do anything for him just to get him back.
“Please, I’ll do anything for you.” She said.
“Are you sure, you will do everything?”
“Yes, Austin. Please!”
“Just forget me!”
After uttering those words, Austin left the girl with greater despair. He went to the basketball court while Mitch went down to the office where Vanessa was located. Sadness covered her face, her idea to beg Austin was a total bad idea and she found herself falling into pieces again. While walking, she saw her friends from afar in front of the building.
“What are you guys doing here outside?” Mitch asked.
The two looked to each other and had no idea how to respond to Mitch’s question until Mitch burst into tears. She fell her knees on the ground and started weeping. The pain of hers couldn’t elevate to the happiness she possessed when she had relationship with Austin for 10 days. Gone were days when she smiled a lot because of him but the days she spent to smile doubled the pain of what she had after the break-up. Seemingly, Austin left her after their first sex and that’s something Mitch never regretted. But seeing pain on her friend’s face escalated the grudge and hate he had for Austin.
Vanessa helped her friend to stand and she immediately hugged her. She promised to her that his time will come. That every single woman he hurt must rejoice when he will be punished Vanessa had no idea how it will happen but she was a biggest fan of Karma – what goes around comes around. They went inside of the office and stayed there until 5:00.

“So, what’s your plan with Vanessa” Rick asked.
“Do you like her bro?” Andrew also asked.
“I just don’t know but it’s interesting to know that someone hates you can love you as well.” He answered.
Austin never courted before that’s why the act of buying a drink to someone was fresh to Andrew and Rick’s sight, reason why they wanted to assure what was Austin’s plan. Austin was sure and certain that he can make someone fall in love even a person who hates him. He took the challenge for him to get to know the girl and what happened a while ago can be a huge advantage for him. He was thinking that Vanessa was guilty and would definitely find a way to apologize.

“Apologize?” Vanessa murmured.
“Why would I apologize?” she answered herself.
Vanessa could not focus on her homework because she was preoccupied of certain things; majority of her thoughts was Austin. She was still half-hearted about Krist’s suggestion. However, on the other side of the hill, she knew she was wrong and sending apology won’t affect her ego at all. But, there was gravitational force which holds her back which made it harder for her to decide. She was still unwilling but she decided to apologize. She had already the number of Austin and all she needs to do was the apologize.
“I apologize for what happened a while ago. ~ Vanessa.”

“I apologize for what happened a while ago. ~ Vanessa.”
When he opened the message, his anticipation happened. Vanessa sent a message of apology.
After receiving the message, the woman from the other night asked Austin to visit her apartment. Austin had no chance to refuse, so he joined the girl on her apartment that night. When they arrived on place, the woman suddenly took off her clothes and kissed Austin undoubtedly. After the moment of passion and sex, Austin took his phone and replied to Vanessa’s message.
“Apology Declined! ~ Austin”
He wore his clothes back and went straight to his apartment.
