6 Chapter Five : Part 1 - At the Bazzar

Matthew P.O.V.

Reginald has been acting a little strange ever since dinner last night. Something has been bugging him and I'm sure of it. I walk over to where Reginald has been standing over the last ten minutes.

"Rege are you alright? You've been zoning out ever since yesterday."

"Huh yeah I'm fine. You know just thinking about where some things could be?"

"What do you mean?"

He looks around and scratches his head "Well I just remembered something from long ago. But it's alright you don't need to worry about it."

"I know you're hiding something from me. I'll stop by your room."

"What? You know we have a curfew."

"I know but it will be fine. I won't get caught."

"Whatever, do what you want, I won't back you up if you get caught." I smiled at him and thought about what could get us off the topic for the meantime. Then I hatched an idea.

"Want to ask Father Joshua if we could go to the bazar? I heard it will only be there for three more days." I looked at him smile like an idiot and did the same.

"C'mon we better hurry. Only 3 hours till lunch." Flashing another smile as I tugged on his sleeve and dragged him all the way to the back garden where Father Joshua usually is.

"Wait a minute. If you pull me like this I might not last in the bazar, it isn't going anywhere for the meantime you know." I looked over to Rege who was already panting.

"You're weak…" Rege glared at me but then his attention was driven to what was behind me, or who.

"Are you alright boys?" I looked back to see Father Joshua looking straight at us.

"Father... you see… we wanted to ask you if we could go visit the bazar." I looked sideways hoping to fight away my embarrassment and hoping that he would accept.

"Well I don't see why not." I looked up at him with thankful and ecstatic eyes. Then he continued "But on one condition.

"Yes!!! Anything!!!"

"I will come with you and you will both help me pick out present for the others." I looked at Rege then back at father both nodding our heads like mad.

"Thank you Father!"

"Well then shall we go?"

"Yes!!!" we both answered.

OOOOO

Once at the bazar we were both acting like children dragging Father Joshua all around the place. Stopping from time to time by all sorts of people greeting the father, some of them were even foreigners. At least I thought they were since they spoke in a different language.

At least not in the native tongue… to tell you the truth I first thought that there was no difference I mean… I understood what they said. It was only until Rege pointed it out saying "I wonder why humans have more than one language I mean what's the point." It was then that I was brought upon realization that they were speaking another language since the words in general were completely different from Limburgian.

It was more like… Faroese… a language from the upper part of Khyreene, maybe Kaineth? Wait how do I even know this!? Nevermind… thinking will only get me headaches. (Knowledge from years of learning from experience)

During the rest of shopping trip, we had successfully picked out a present for each of them… well Rege did since I don't really know them; after all, I had only arrived the day before.

While looking around we even stopped by to watch a bard and a dancer performing together. It was one of the most beautiful things I had seen in my life. The music that Would magically vibrate at the end of each note, his singing that sounded of a creature you would see in fairytales, and the way the dancer moved across the floor with subtle, and gentle movements, yet enough to let the cloth dance around with her like a fairy's veil.

And at the end of it I felt refreshed and content yet wanting to see more. But we have to get back soon and help out our best at everything we can do. Like helping in the kitchen, sweeping the floor/garden, helping out in the choir, and all kinds of other things.

OOO Going back to the church OOO

Ever since the Father had brought me here I have been feeling as if I am living in a dream. A dream where I am free of chains, where I hold no wrong and can laugh to my heart's content. But I know I can never be free of my guilt. I just can't let myself be left unpunished. It's unfair, why can't I be punished when I have committed a wrong. Why can't I be like all the others? Why am I different?

"----------!? You al----, ------------- 've se- a ---------?"

"Huh what?"

"I said~ Matt!? You alright, you look like you've seen a ghost?"

"Oh yeah I'm fine…" he sighs.

"Seriously if anything's bothering you just tell me, were practically like brothers now."

"Yeah thanks… Can I still come to your room later?"

"Do whatever you want. Third door to the left after the stairs on the second floor. But I'm warning you Jason, Thomas, and Nicholas are staying in the same room."

"Got it! Thanks Rege." "Thank you Father Joshua!!!"

I bowed at him and turned towards the church, running past the garden / walkway while waving my hand in the air and headed into the kitchen where I promised Sister Angelika that I would teach her a "family recipe". (Actually a vegetarian meal I made up while experimenting with plants, berries, etc. because I got tired of plain boring smoked/grilled meat)

To tell the truth I can't really remember much until after dinner. It was like I just blanked out not aware of my actions but aware of myself at the same time. Spacing out for half a day isn't good for you.

"Matt see you later." I turned around to see Rege patting my shoulder.

"Yup see you ''tomorrow''." I replied while gesturing above. Instead of meeting in his room we have both decided to meet on the roof we have codenamed as "tomorrow".
