CAPTURE HER

Outside, the whole place was quiet which was odd because in the day time it was too much, silence was almost deafening me. But I was not in the mood to find the reason, all I had to do was calm my mind and decide whether to check on Vidyut or not.

"Why think so much, just give him a call. you never hesitated for such things before" I murmured to myself when my eyes fell on the dark grey clouds surrounding the place.

'damn' I frowned, these clouds were familiar. The ones that night in the park, my mind was already a mess and now this!!

The whole area suddenly turned dark, lord sun who was shining proudly moments ago was nowhere to be seen.

"Vampires" I sighed shaking my head. I wasn't even a bit scared which was quite surprising even to me. Few silhouettes of vampires came into my view from the grey fog. They looked like a pack of vampire soldiers, disciplined and quiet.

My lips twitched at their view. What should I do? Send signal to my dear angel who must be practising flute or… shall I fight? The bracelet will inform him anyway, till then I can stall them.

My eyes fell on my pearl bracelet which wasn't glowing at all. But I did not bother much because I could feel the vampires nearing, all their eyes fixed on their prey… me.

"Maya" I summoned and a beautiful glass flute appeared out of pink light in my palms, just in case a fight erupts.

"Come with us willingly and we won't harm you" a tall muscular man who seemed to be the leader of the group announced in a cold terrifying voice. Danger was evident but I still didn't back off.

"Are you talking to me?" I innocently asked in a sweet voice pointing my finger at me. I somehow felt that this vampire was very strong, stronger than the ones that night so, I could just buy some time for Sumedh to come.

"Can you see anyone else around?" he questioned irritated; displeasure evident on his face.

Just as expected, he was short tempered perfect to fall in my trap of words. Just hope Sumedh comes fast.

"Oh sorry… but who are you?" I sweetly questioned tilting my head a bit, without a hint of fear in my words.

"don't test my patience little girl or… men capture her ALIVE!!!" the man commanded and his minions leaped towards me in lightning speed.

I did not expect sudden attack but still I quickly placed my flute on my lower lip and started to blow air in it, the same way I did that night, trying to defend myself from them.

Thanks to my Krishna that purple lights appeared out of nowhere surrounding me and then attacking the vampires who tried to attack me. I kept my emotions stable, because last time when I got furious… I didn't want the same to happen again. I wanted to defend not kill.

One by one all the vampires who kept on attacking me fell on ground, not dead just seriously injured. I kept my eyes closed, to avoid the violence which I was a part of. When I felt everything went quiet, I opened my eyes to check if they are gone but to my surprise many bodies were fallen on ground, breathing hardly. Was I that violent? I shook my head to clear those thoughts. Why isn't Sumedh here yet? Is he also attacked?

At that moment I saw a blade flying towards me with lightning speed, for a moment my nervous system broke, before I could register what is happening, the blade had already reached too close to dodge so I shut my eyes tightly anticipating a great piercing pain on my shoulder.

The next seconds felt like lifetime, but the blade didn't touch my body, I heard a clinking sound instead. I opened my eyes and saw Aryan standing in front of me "are you alright?"

And I just nodded, a metallic taste of blood lingered in my mouth. Blood ready to ooze out of my lips any moment so I kept my lips sealed. He turned his back towards me and I could feel the drop in temperature, making me shiver.

"How brazen of you to even try to touch her" Aryan's cold voice echoed, unlike his usual cheery self.

"Why not? Look she is pretty and I want her for a night, if you like her then I can lend her to you later" the leader of the vampire group answered with a dirty smirk on his face. His words were disgusting me to core as I watched him from the back of Aryan.

"Why would the mighty vampire prince stop me for a mere human" he once again said taking a few steps towards us, my fingers that were wrapped on Aryan's arms tightened.

Aryan gave me a short glance and then said "each step of yours is taking you to Yama's door"

Aryan's words gave me a familiar sense of security. Although there were many questions running through my mind about his identity but I somehow knew that I was safe with him.

The leader of vampire stilled for a moment seemingly thinking whether to step ahead or not when one of his minions came forward "lord don't offend the prince, even our whole army is no match for him. He is the second most powerful vampire alive."

"This ice face huh? I can beat him like an ant" the leader bragged glaring daggers at his minion who looked wise, maybe an old knowledgeable vampire.

"My lord! don't go against him alone, once we have all the powers of Crimson star, you can smash him as you like" the minion again spoke but his lord wasn't bothered at all.

The leader bared his long white fangs towards us and leapt, I tried hard not to close my eyes and kept my flute on my lips just in case required, but before I could register what happened a loud cry pierced my ear.

"AAAAGGHH" the leader was thrown on ground groaning in pain, but how did he fall.

I blinked at Aryan in confusion who just gave me a mischievous smile. He threw that leader on ground with such inhumane speed that my eyes couldn't even capture.

"Since you know what you shouldn't, you have lost the right to live" Aryan declared, his cold aura sent shivers down everyone's spine.

He was about to attack them when I held his wrist in haste. He turned to me with knitted brows. I just shook my head as tears traced their way on my cheeks. I didn't want any more blood to be spilled, I can't let him take the sin of killing.

"Are you in pain" Aryan whose expression was just like stone a moment ago softened as he wiped of my tears and I shook my head again. Before the vampires could run away or Aryan could kill them, I started playing 'Maya', the tune Sumedh had taught me to erase the memories in case I get exposed. I put a spell on Aryan to avoid him from effect.

Aryan was quick to understand my intensions as soon as I kept the flute on my lips.

I closed my eyes to focus as the metallic taste in my mouth increased. Sumedh had sternly warned me not to use musical spells until it is the last option. Especially on vampires as it consumes a lot of inner energy and here, I was casting spell on an army of vampires.

As soon as I completed the spell, Maya disappeared and my knees weakened, if not for Aryan who caught me on time I would have crashed directly on ground.

The army of rogue vampires looked at each other in confusion, thinking why they were here and why so many of their soldiers and even their leader is fallen on ground. They took them along to their base.

I could taste my own blood which dripped out through the corner of my lips. Aryan crouched in front of me, providing me support as my back rested on his bended knee and he wrapped his arms protectively around my shoulder.

"Are you okay?" he worriedly asked wiping the blood off my lips with his other hand. His kerchief dyed red with my blood.

I was so drained; my head was spinning. I knew I had major internal injuries and even staying conscious was already very difficult forget answering him. But still I nodded.

Aryan was not a fool to believe me and he grabbed my wrist to check the flow of prana. And his brows knitted at the weak flow of prana in my body.

{ Prana – or qi in Chinese refers to inner spiritual energy}

"Damn it" he cursed loudly because vampires have different body composition and they can't transfer inner energy or aid in its flow. There was nothing he could do, he needed someone from heaven realm or other divine realms.

"Where is your damn guardian angel" he asked recalling Sumedh who was also from Goloka.

{Goloka – realm of lord Krishna. Krishna, Radha along with their beloved devotees reside there. His realm is placed higher to heaven realm}

The same question was running in my mind, he clearly told me that he will arrive at once whenever I am in danger. Did the bracelet not work? But I had to summon him at any cost.

I weakly raised my right palm to call my little messenger peacock. As I opened my eyes, I could see the crystal peacock in my palm, it didn't look that divine maybe because I was too weak.

"Stop it!!! It will exhaust more of your inner energy" s familiar voice rang in my ears. I pushed myself to lift the pair of my heavy eyes. A tall figure ran to me, his curly hairs danced in the wind and finally everything turned black.

Happy New Year.

Short chapter I know, and poorly written too but I really couldn't change much so sorry...
