Space

-------------------------------Alioth POV--------------------------------

I was ecstatic. I could see the Earth, spread out below me. The moon, the planets behind it, the stars, everything. Finally, after so long, I was here, space. Ever since I saw the infinite emptiness filled with stars, I'd been yearning to find out what it looked like up-close.

However, I wasn't just here to sightsee. I also had a job. I walked - floated - to the main control station and checked everything; we had just passed the moon and were on our way to mars. Final destination? Outside the solar system. After that, we explore a bit and then make our way back to Earth. We had more than enough fuel as long as nothing went wrong, and even if something did go wrong, I had designed a way for us to refuel if we can get some direct sunlight.

I turned up the speed, since right now we were going no where near full-speed, and decided to go check on the others. I didn't know them well, but we had done a self-introduction back on the planet, so I knew their names and favorite colors.

First, Rebecca, who liked green, which I personally don't agree with. She was slightly overweight from lack of exercise, but she was still quite pretty. She had light blue eyes and straight brown hair that reached her shoulders. Her eyes were on the larger side, while her nose was pretty small. She was napping, which was fine at this point, since we had just started the mission, so I left her and went to the next room.

Second, Alex, who loves just about every color. He had a very lively personality and we had to force him to shut up during self-introductions. He was a redhead with freckles all over his pale face, along with wide eyes and a large mouth. He was very skinny and looked like he didn't eat enough, but I had seen him eat enough food for three people just the day before, so I had no clue where all of it went. When I checked his room, he wasn't there, so most likely he had gone to talk with someone else.

Third, Liam, who prefers yellow. He was a big, bulky man that looked extremely wild. His hair almost looked like a mane, and he seemed really arrogant, at least based off how he introduced his ability. It was something like 'Quake' or something. It was only an A ranked ability so I didn't really care much; after all, I had chatted with people that had S ranked abilities for information gathering purposes before. I'd even met an SS ranked ability holder at a party once, although it was a pretty brief talk. When I checked his room, I saw Alex and our last member, Ella, sitting with him in a circle playing cards, although it was quite annoying considering the anti-gravity which I had forgot to turn off - not on purpose (I swear!). But they, or at least Alex, seemed to be having fun.

Ella was apparently partial to purple, and she was pretty quiet, the opposite of Alex. She had dyed her hair purple from it's original black, and her eyes were a green, jade-like color. Rebecca was lazy, but she was brilliant. Liam was an excellent mechanic, Alex was great at piloting, Ella was a scientist, and I was here for basically everything.

"Oh, hey Al!", said Alex, once he noticed me.

Oh yeah, and they had given me a nickname, Al. I didn't really mind.

"Hey, Alex, Liam, and Ella."

Liam and Ella both responded with a casual hello and returned to the game. I joined in while Alex chattered on and on about how he had once flown a plane through a mountain range while being chased by a giant eagle. After a bit, we disbanded and went back to our posts or went to our rooms to sleep. Later, we ate our meals. For a few days, we continued a pretty boring schedule, but I was pretty happy getting to see everything outside. Of course, we also exercised and such to keep our bodies healthy.

Eventually, we made it outside the system. Here, I saw the whole solar system in front of me in all it's glory, and, while I was admiring the view, my hand slipped and the speed was pushed to the max. All of a sudden, we throttled away from the solar system, and, as I noticed the increase in speed, I became nervous, very nervous. I tried to slow down and turn around, but by now it was too late. I didn't know where we had come from. Everyone rushed into the room after noticing the abnormal speed.

"What just happened? Why did we speed up? You know, this reminds me of the time..."

"Where are we?!"

"Oh no."

"Can I go back to sleep now?"

I winced, since I didn't know what to say. I accidentally turned up the speed to max while looking at our solar system? No way! I decided to shrug and act like I'm in a panic, which wasn't very hard to do, considering I have no clue where we are. As we drifted through space, we tried to find our way back, but to no avail.

Suddenly, the radar found something alarming, something that was slowly pulling us in.. as I turned to look, I prayed it wasn't a blackhole. I guess someone heard my prayers, as what I saw was a wormhole. However, this wasn't what I had meant by 'not a blackhole'.

(A/N: I don't know if this is realistic for wormholes, but in this story whatever I say about the wormholes is true, okay?)

Everyone lined up next to me and stared at the wormhole, blankly. Suddenly, I turned around and tried to direct the ship away from the wormhole as fast as possible, but it was too late. We had used up a lot of fuel and so we couldn't go full speed at this point. We slowly got pulled closer and closer, faster and faster. All of a sudden, pieces of the spaceship started breaking off. Then the whole wing broke off as we started to enter the wormhole, and an intense pressure pushed down on us. The first person to fall was Rebecca, then Ella, followed by me and Alex. Liam, having an A rank ability, was the strongest, but he fell soon after. I think someone shouted, and I heard a few sobs. The ship broke apart as the intense gravity started pressing on us, and once again we started going down in order, except this time we were falling unconscious. As I blacked out, I saw the ship break with one last groan, and I surrendered myself to the encroaching darkness.

---------------------------3rd person POV---------------------------

As Alioth traversed the wormhole many changes happened. Every time the gravity was about to crush his body, his Limit Break would activate, causing him to become stronger. Eventually, his Greater Comprehension also reached a limit, as it was comprehending the natural laws of time and space inside of the wormhole. Once again, Limit Break activated and Greater Comprehension evolved into Ultimate Understanding. As soon as Alioth got stronger, the wormhole only released more gravity upon his body.

As this cycle continued, time warped inside of the wormhole. This had many effects; Alioth didn't age, the time inside the wormhole was extended, and Limit Break kept on activating along with Ultimate Understanding. After an unknown amount of time in the wormhole, Ultimate Understanding also reached it's limit. Limit Break, unable to further evolve Ultimate Understanding, also reached it's limit. This caused it to break it's own limit, leading to it becoming Perfect Potential. Then, Ultimate Understanding became Pinnacle Perfection. If the names didn't give it away, they were the highest possible evolution for their respective skills, Perfect Potential giving no limit on improvement and Pinnacle Perfection giving you perfect understanding of something at first glance.

As Alioth neared the end of the wormhole, the gravity and pressure only increased. However, the laws of time and space were also more prevalent, causing his Pinnacle Perfection ability to let him master the laws. Meanwhile, his Perfect Potential was causing his physical abilities to soar. Now, he no longer had to reach his limit, just training or being under extreme pressure was enough for his strength to increase.

The closer Alioth got to the exit, the slower time moved for him. The amount of time it had taken him to be able to get near the exit was the same amount of time it would take him to leave through the exit. Soon, his understanding of the natural laws increased even more, and his body continuously improved, now doubling in strength every second.

Then, something fundamental changed in Alioth's body. While in the wormhole, breathing, eating, and all the necessary activities for life weren't required, since his body could sustain itself using the space and time laws. However, this didn't mean that he could breathe in space once he was conscious, since he wouldn't know how to use the laws. And yes, he was still unconscious. His body was under too much stress so he wasn't able to wake up yet. So, since he needed a way to survive, his body automatically changed his need for oxygen, food, and sleep to be replaced. Now, he could sustain himself using the energy from his surroundings.

(A/N: This part may be a bit confusing, basically it's saying he can now breathe in space without help from the space law.)

Finally, Alioth was thrown out of the wormhole, and it closed behind him. After a few seconds, he finally woke up. To him, it seemed as if the whole thing had lasted a few minutes. Mostly, though, he was surprised he was alive. Looking around, he realized he was in space. Without oxygen.

At first, he freaked out, until he noticed that he was perfectly fine. In fact, he felt better than ever. Now, he was wondering if this was the afterlife. Soon enough, he glimpsed a planet, and decided to go over there to see if there was any life. If this was the afterlife, then so be it.

Then, he remembered he had no way to get over there. As he floated about, he noticed that, while space was interesting, being in one spot, without any change in the scenery, was kind of boring. He wanted to move about and see more, not just float in space aimlessly. As he thought this, he started to accelerate, and when he noticed and tried to stop, he immediately stopped. Shocked, he tried to make his body go backwards, then forwards, then repeated it until he was satisfied that it was really because of his will. Then, he tried to go towards the planet, but he must've thought about it too desperately because he slammed straight into the planet, and right through it.

*explosion sfx*

He stared at the former planet, slack-jawed. He had felt nothing when crashing through the planet, but it had exploded right in front of him. He made a mental note to be more careful with his space-movement powers, as he called them. At this point, he thought he was dreaming. After all, how else could this be possible?

Alioth once again set off, searching for another planet, completely oblivious to the commotion he had caused by trying to land on a planet.

On the tip of a sword-like mountain, an average looking man with a blindfold on suddenly raises his head. Sword Qi starts to revolve around him as he seems to stare at the sky. All of a sudden, he stands up and jumps on a flying sword, after which he seemingly disappears.

All the elders of the Supreme Sword Sect are shocked when they realize their patriarch has left the Spirit Sword Mountain. He had been cultivating there for millions of years, and now he had suddenly left, which could either mean he had successfully broken through, or something urgent had come up. However, what could possibly be urgent for their patriarch?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In a palace, there's an old man that looks like a kind old grandpa, but suddenly, his face turns serious as he stares outside of the palace, towards the sky. He squints his eyes, before leaving quickly. Everyone nearby notices this, making them nervous. This old man was the top expert in their whole planet, and the last thing that made him serious was a group of aliens that called themselves 'demons', led by their Demon King. They had used some strange energy called mana to kill humans so that they could take the resources on the planet. They had almost massacred three kingdoms, but luckily, the old man had managed to defeat the Demon King and eradicate the demons, and that was when he was young.

However, now, many years after that event, when the old man had broken through multiple times, he still had a similar serious expression. This meant something big had happened.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

All over the universe, similar things were happening, with the top experts from each planet noticing the abnormal energy fluctuations, and some receiving reports that a planet had seemingly blown up for no reason; no Qi had been used, no bombs, nothing. They had no idea why it had happened. In fact, one of the survivors, a lucky expert who had happened to understand a little bit of space law, had managed to reach a nearby planet and give a report; he had not sensed anything wrong, other than some disturbance in space. This caused many to speculate what it could've been, leading to a rumor about a space monster that loved destroying planets for fun.

Meanwhile, Alioth was trying to decide if he should check out the planet in front of him or go to another solar system again. Also, by now he had realized he was alive, and he was, quite frankly, baffled. How had he managed to survive that? Besides, were the others alive? He wasn't sure, but he had an idea in the back of his head, one that he didn't want to believe just yet.
