6 CHAPTER FIVE

We were on the way to the house of evolution. I was the only one flying, so I was flying near the ground and weaving between trees.

Genos: "I didn't think we'd be running all day."

Saitama: "How did you expect us to get there?"

Genos: "I was sure you could fly or something like master, sensei."

Saitama: "Humans can't fly, you know."

Genos: "It's amazing that you are never late. You are a true hero."

Saitama: "Actually, I hardly ever arrive on time."

As he says this, we go over a hill and finally see a large concrete building.

Genos: "We're here. This is the place Gorilla told us of."

Saitama: "So this is the House of Evolution. One, two, three-"

Cupid: "It's eight stories high. It also has a basement of sorts. There is someone going down as we speak."

As I say this, Genos quickly charges an explosion and completely vaporizes the whole building.

Saitama: "What was that all of a sudden?"

Genos: "I detected it would be most efficient to destroy them all in one swoop."

We walk over to the now giant crater and see a thick metal door thats still intact.

Genos: "How did you know master?"

Cupid: "I have enhanced senses. I could hear them."

With me on the left, Genos on the right, and Saitama in the middle, we walk down some stairs into a wet, mossy hallway with very dim lights. Good thing I can see in the dark. The hallway seem to just go on forever. I hear rapid gunshots along with someone screaming much further ahead. Oh, the guy who was screaming is dead.

Saitama: "This basement is huge, I'm getting kind of fired up."

Cupid: "Well it looks like you'll get your wish to fight. Something big is coming at us pretty fast."

I hear smashing glass as what looks like a huge beetle man is running at us holding a skinny black haired man in his right hand.

Beetle: "Oh here we go! There are three. Which one do we not need?"

Black Haired Man: "The two on the right."

Beetle: "In that case, you don't need the one on the left."

After he said that, he swings really hard at Genos, but I quickly create a barrier to stop it. I know he'll be fine, but I don't want him to have to replace any broken parts.

Cupid: "How about we settle this between us and leave him out of it."

Beetle: "Ok, my name's Carnage Kabuto. We got a combat experimentation room. Let's do this in there."

Saitama: "You tried to turn Genos into a piece of modern art. Fight's on."

We walk to the combat room. Me, Saitama, and Genos are standing on one side with Kabuto on the other. Genos starts to run forward to fight Kabuto, but I put him in a barrier.

Genos: "Master! Why won't you let me fight?"

Cupid: "You can't take him Genos. He's way more powerful than you. If I didn't have my barriers, even I would have to strain myself to kill him. Now, Saitama, you need to end this quickly."

Saitama: "Why? It's not like we have somewhere to be."

Cupid: "What are you mean? Did you forget? It's-"

Before I can finish, Kabuto is already in front of Saitama about to punch him. Right as he's about to hit him, he flys away with wings that popped out of his back. He quickly backs up against to wall opposite us trying to get away for where Saitama is still standing.

Kabuto: "How the hell did you get that strong?!?"

Saitama: "So you wanna know too? Okay, fine. Genos, you listen carefully too."

Black Haired Man: "I'd like to know too."

Saitama: "Who are you?"

Black Haired Man: "I am Genus."

Cupid: "Your a genius?"

Genus: "No, my name is Genus."

Saitama: "Well fine. Listen up. First what's important is to make sure you stick to this intense training regimen."

He then goes on about his training of 100 push-ups, sit-ups, and squats and a 10 kilometer run every day along with the eating habits he used. It was all regular stuff most people use to train their bodies.

Genos: "Sensei... you are... full of crap! That is nothing but standard strength training! And it's not even that intense! It's just a normal level! I—- I have to get stronger. I didn't ask to study under you and master just to hear jokes! Saitama sensei, your power is clearly stronger than what you'd get from just training your body! We want to know your true secret!"

Saitama: "Genos, you may not believe me, but that's really all I did."

Kabuto: "Oh, yeah? If you don't want to tell us your secret so be it."

Cupid: "Saitama, as I was trying to say earlier, you need to finish this fast. I don't know how you forgot, but it's bargain day at the supermarket you like to go to. We can still make it, but you have to hurry."

In almost a split second, Kabuto was splattered against the wall with Saitama standing where he was before. He then punches I gigantic hole in the wall and starts running back to the city.

Saitama: "Let's go then! Why didn't you tell me sooner?!?"

I quickly fly after him with Genos trailing behind. By the time we get back to the city, we just barely have enough time to get to the supermarket and buy as much on sale as possible. I decided to just wait outside sense I had quite a bit of trouble moving around in the store last time we came. Gotta say, being this tall has quite a few disadvantages. I still like it though. I see Saitama and Genos come out with quite a few bags of food.

Cupid: "Did you get what I asked for?"

Genos: "Yes, master, but they where out of bagels. The total came to 8,127 yen."

I quickly go to the store and search for that much. I see that I lost .75 SP. I guess it was 75 bucks even. A small stack of 2000 yen notes and a few coins appear in my big hand. I pass them to a very confused Genos.

Genos: "How did you do that master? My sensors indicated that you had no notes on your person."

Cupid: "I may not be the physically strongest, but I've got quite a few tricks up my sleeves."
