Cultivation

If you ever get the chance to cultivate, don't.

Cultivation makes your life devoid of everything you know. First it's fun. You get stronger you can help your family everyone is proud of you. Then at some point you will start meeting rotten, little childs. These childs are either arrogant and treat you like trash or the are envious and try to kill you for being better than them or some other petty reason like who inherts what.

To put it in a nutshell they make your life worse.

Then there comes the point, it is called bottleneck, when your advancement stagnate and everything get harder. You try your best to overcome that point. To do that you have to suffer hellish pains or eat strange medicines. Nobody knows what side effects that stuff may have it helps you break through and it is rare so you have to eat it. Disclaimer: It will be a problem later that you eat that stuff or someone poisoned it.

At some point the resources you need to advance are getting rare. Mostly because the stuff you ate earlier makes problems so you have to eat new stuff only to find out that it nakes more problems so you have to eat more strange stuf later and so on. At that point everything still has a purpose you help those who ard dear to you. Then those people sent you to a sect where you meet more arrogant and envious people. At that point you have to make sure you are not getting tricked into an intrigue and try not to get killed and get stronger to protect yourself. If you are really lucky you survive the time in the sect and maybe you find friends. But don't get to attached to them because they will probably die. If you are unlucky one or two of them survive, because they will probably think it's your fault. I don't know how they get this idea but in the end they either die or kill you. Maybe it happens many years later but it happens.

If they all die you still can have bad luck because their other friends, their families, an elder struggling for power or their master could accuse you. During your struggle to stay alive one of those assholes will get the fun idea to murder or kidnap or rape your family. whatever you do to stop it it will probably happen. Then you will struggle even more to get stronger and give up everything else either to get revenge or to survive.

If not you die. If you struggle long enoug through this ever repeating cycle you will one day reach the immortal stage and kill all your enemies.

And now?? well your are and so called immortal in translation you life a few thousand or million years with no purpose in life but yoh aren't killing yourself because you are afraid of dead. And how I know you are afraid of your death? You struggled so long to escape it. And so you continue to cultivate trying to escape age and death making enemies on your path till one day you die because you haven't been able to stay alive or you achive true immortality. If you manage to achieve that ... well, congratulations you will live a useless life through eternity till someone finds a wag to make you mortal again ... Nice eternal suffering or death both devoid of happiness or stuff you love or like because you know you will lose it.

If I would choose again I would choose staying mortal. In the worst case you and your familie become part of a experiment and die slowly but through you not cultivating you will suffer at most 150 years. Then your soul will be without energy and you can die peacefully. That fate ... I would prefer it... Ig seems at least short and in comparism painless.
