10 The Destroyer

Upon arrive to their destination Percy is greeted to the sight of Thor being back handed by a giant metallic figure. Worried about his mother getting closer he has her open up the hatch. Wrapping his body in energy he leaps from the quinjett summoning his 3 claws landing a strike onto the figure. Shocked that his attacked did no damage Percy takes a punch from the figure sending him flying towards where Thor and the others were at. Surprised at his sudden appearing he hears the one he assumes is Sif yell "Child what are you doing none of use could fight this thing much less a Midgardian child." "I hate to break it to you lady but I'm pretty sure I am your best bet to survive this event" "My name is not 'lady' it is Sif and these are the warriors three" She says as the point to the 3 "Hello" the 3 respond in tow. "names Percy now back to the matter at hand, just what is this" Percy asks Sif as he prepares for the figure to come closer "That is the destroyer a weapon created by the all-father Odin to help in times of war, however it is currently being operated by Thor's brother Loki" Sif reply's the anger visible on her face. "While I try and fend this off you get everyone out of here and to safety" Before anyone can say anything Percy dashes forward sending a kick towards the destroyers chest pushing it back a little and gaining its attention. Trying his hardest to bring it away from the other Percy gets the destroyer attention after a claw strike manages to put a very small scratch in its arm. While trying to to make a follow up attack onto the destroyer Percy's arm is grabbed before he is sent flying through a building. Thankful that the buildings were empty Percy leaps from the rubble when he notices a object flying in from the distance.(about time, I was getting worried for a second there)Percy thinks as he tries to keep the destroyers attention when he suddenly hears "HAHAHAHA HELLO PERCY I SEE YOU HAVE BEEN KEEPING THIS THING BUSY"

"About time. I was about to have to change your name from Thor the god of thunder to Thor the god of naps" "Good one my friend but before we make any more jokes let us finish this thing off shall we" Thor says as he launches his hammer towards the destroyers face. Recalling the hammer and charging a lightning bolt up, the destroyer opens its face mask up sending a beam of energy toward Thor. Just before the beam of energy hit Thor, Percy sends his own ball of energy at the beam stopping it just in time as Thor flies toward the destroyer killing it. "Thank you Percy, without your assistance I am afraid that my other friends here would have been in danger." "Any time Thor. However I think your needed back home on Asgard. Lady Sif said something about that thing being controlled by your brother." "Dastardly brother indeed Thank you for your assistance I must be away to stop him" "would you want my assistance in dealing with your brother? If nothing else I would very much like to see Asgard as well as fight that friend of yours." "You drive a hard bargain. Very well come along and let us stop my brother" Thor answers Percy while making haste to the group. While Thor and the woman I assume is Jane Foster make their goodbyes. Thor has us all gather close before yelling for Heimdall to open the bifrost. after yelling for him a few times it finally opens summoning us to asgard.

Taking longer than he liked to gather his bearings Percy notices the group surrounding a man laying on the ground. Hearing Thor yell Loki's name, Percy notices Thor fly off towards the main palace. "Is everything ok" Percy asks Sif "As of now Heimdall will be fine he just needs rest. The warriors three will watch him while you and I make our way to the cast killing any frost giants in our path." She replies. Drawing his sword Sif and Percy make their way towards the palace killing all frost giants in their path. Hearing a loud explosion the two look up to see Thor fighting Loki finally finishing off the rest of the events of the first Thor movie.

"HUZZAH FOR THOR AND ALL THE GREAT WARRIORS THAT FOUGHT TODAY!" the crowd shouts. "Are the parties always this rowdy?" Percy asks Sif a he sits down across from her at the table "They are usually a lot worse really, this is pretty tame compared to the usually festivities. I imagine everyone is tired after the fighting today. Speaking of which I saw the way you handled yourself today and I must say I am impressed. Who trained you to fight with a sword?" "I am self taught. I have been looking for a blade instructor for awhile now but couldn't find one to teach me." "If the all father permits I would be willing to train you as thanks for your assistance today." "I would like that. I have one other request, how hard would it be for me to get a sword like. The one I have been using I am going to have to retire after today. One more good swing is all that's left in it." "that would should be easy enough I will see what I can do" As Sif and Percy continue to make some small they are interrupted by a very drunk Thor "AH Percy my friend thank you for your assistance today. Tomorrow if you will come with my to meet my father. He wishes to meet the one from midgard who assisted me, but for now drink my friend tonight is the time for celebrating." Being persuaded by Thor, Percy joined Thor and the two drank the night away.

Waking up the next morning Percy was excited to meet Odin. Luckily for him he was able to channel some of his inner energy to remove the hangover effect when he realized he broke through to the second level in foundation establishment. Percy sits down the consolidate his new cultivation level when he realizes just how abundant the energy is. The more he thinks about it, it all makes sense now. The reason why Asgardians have life span is so long as well as their strength and abilities. Without realizing it they have been absorbing the energy granting them its effects. Finishing up firming his foundations he steps outside his room and begins looking for Thor only to find him asleep on a table next to the rest of the group from last night excluding Sif. "wake up sleeping beauty, you said something last night about meeting your father?" Rubbing his head due to the massive hangover he has Thor quietly mumbles "Give me a second friend to fully wake up before we leave" Handing Thor a tankard of water he hastily downs if before standing up and doing some light stretches. Looking slightly better Thor tells Percy some palace rules before they leave the tavern to meet the all-father.
