11 The All-Father

Leaving the tavern with Thor the 2 make their way to the palace. Excited to meet Odin, Percy asks Thor some general things about his father so he does not embarrass himself. After learning some more do's and do not's they finally arrived. "Hello Percy my son tells me you helped him during these troubling times. I am Odin and this is my wife Frigga, and we offer our thanks for your assistance" Odin says giving Percy a smile. "It was a pleasure, I am always more than willing to help a friend" "So child I heard from lady Sif that you wish for her to give you some combat training. I have given my approval and your welcome to stay as long as she seems fit to give you the training she believes you deserve" Before being able to respond Frigga cuts in "Percy was it, I have something I have been wondering about since you have walked in her if you don't mind me asking?" " As long as it is not too personal I do not mind" Percy responds slightly shocked that Frigga would have anything to ask him. "Just what are you?" She asks shocking everyone in the room. "Whatever do you mean?" "Just what I asked. I am very attuned to all things magical and from what I can see your very being is overflowing with magic energy. Almost as if you were the physical embodiment of it." Slightly shocked at Frigga's explanation Percy decides to tell a half truth. With the abundance of energy in Asgard this is the holy ground for his current level of cultivation and would rather not see himself banished. "Well the truth is, I am special in that I can absorb magical energy to strengthen myself. Not to sure if i can use any actual magic or the other effects of it yet, but so far its only increased my physical abilities." "Interesting Percy, in all my years alive you are the second person that I know of that can do something like that. The other person died many years ago but was a power house in her own right." She says contently ending the conversation. Giving each other kind parting words Percy was finally free from Frigga's questions and allowed to begin training with Sif. Unbeknownst to Percy however Frigga and Odin watched him leave the building intently. "Odin do you know what this means right." "Yes, we need to make sure Thor remains in good terms with him. If he becomes anywhere near as powerful as that woman, he will be a powerful ally should anything ever happen." "I will have a talk with Thor, and you should go talk with your dwarven friends about forging him a blade. Sif was asking about him being able to gift him a sword upon him completing her training." "I will do just that Frigga. Maybe you should talk to Sif and see if you can get her to woo Percy, who knows maybe some feelings will sprout between the 2 during their training." Finishing up their secret conversation and observation the 2 disperse.

"Ah Percy there you are I have some good news and bad news for you." Sif says jogging up to him seeing him leave the palace "Oh what might that be?" "After watching you fight the ice giants the other day I knew the perfect technique for you. I've found it and Lady Frigga has approved us to use it for your training. The bad news is that I wont have a weapon for you just yet. It seems you left a good impression on Odin and one of the dwarves owe him a favor and will forge you a blade. So in the meantime you will have to use one of our's." She explained leading Percy to her home. "For now the training plan I have for you will take around 1 year." "That is ok with me, I just need to inform my parents that I will be here as well as my boss." "Very well, Come with me I will escort you to Heimdall so that he can send us to Midgard." Finally meeting Heimdall for the first time not frozen Percy was suprised when he locked eyes with the man. He felt like there was no secrets in front of this man. Given permission to be beamed to earth the 2 make way for a encounter Percy was not sure how would go down.

"As your mother I do not want to let you, but I can see that even if I said no you would probably still just go so please stay safe." Martha says giving him a hug. "Champ I need you to promise me that you will get real strong ok? After that event with Thor we need all the help we can get if more stuff like that should happen. And you don't have to worry about S.H.I.E.L.D. I have already called Fury and let him know and he has given his permission to give you the year off for training." Frank tells Percy giving him a huge bear hug. "Mom, Dad I will be back in a year. When I get back I will be strong enough to protect you both." Saying his good byes Percy walks outside to see Percy's mother talking to Sif before she nods and makes her way into the back yard with Percy. "what did my mother say to you?" "Just to make sure to keep you safe, as well as some other things I can't repeat." Sif responds as Heimdall brings them back to Asgard. Excited for the training he is about to get, Percy determined to be strong enough after this year to protect everyone he can in the invasion that is to come next year.
