3 A Cultivator's Meditation

In truth, meditation is quite effortless once you get the hang of it.

One just needs to remain still, calm, and quiet.

Clearing one's leg is optimal, but clearing one's mind is a must. It's easy to say to yourself, "I can totally do that!" But does that mean you're able to do it? Even the slightest of distracting thought means that your mind is not clear.

Try it for yourself and see if you can clear your mind. I'm shall not help.

Let us go back to the positioning of a cultivator's meditative positioning. The positioning of a cultivator's body is hardly the most important aspect in mediation.

It does not matter if you're standing up or if you're lying down.

A cultivator's choreograph only instructs one to cross their legs and sitting still as a type of physical and mental training to induce and facilitate the state of a clear mind.

Why must a cultivator meditate you may ask?

First off, clearing the tangles of one's troubled mind calms the heart. Having a calm heart brings peace and serenity which allows you to construct, transform, and cultivate yourself.

But I must warn you before we go to the next passage.

There has always been a warning that one shouldn't cultivate when Demons infests their heart. When I say demons, I do not mean monsters. I am referring to the things that hurts one's heart. It can be the loss of a loved one, or it can be as simple as one's shattered heart after a break up. Though one shouldn't fret if it's just a simple relationship problem. Those are one of the easiest demons to chase away.

The second reason why a cultivator meditate is so that they can refine their sensory perception. Everyone has a sensory perception. Some are stronger, some are weaker.

One example of sensory perception in use is when someone is secretly standing behind you without a sound. You won't be able to see her//him// or it, but you can surely sense that someone or something is behind you.

Another example is something that some of you might be able to try. Place a finger or an object in front of your Yintang Acupoint. If you do not know where this is, it's in between your two brows. Most of you will for sure have a sensory perception. It just might not be very strong.

Having a strong sensory perception will allow a user to sense things without even seeing it with their eyes.

A cultivator's meditation can do much more than one may think. It's true that they can calm their heart, and they can refine their sensory perception. Other than those, cultivators can also refine their Dao, spiritual self, or they can even hasten mental recovery.

Now let's talk about how to actually get into a clear state of mind. A clear state of mind doesn't actually mean that one is going to think of nothing. If one thinks of nothing how can they decide what to refine?

One can try and get the guidance of a mentor, or they can self teach themselves.

A real cultivator usually needs a cultivation scripture of their own or they need someone else's scripture.

An example of one of the opening phrase of a lowest quality cultivation scripture is as follow.

[Gales of wind through the air.

Ripples of water through the sea.

Wherever one goes, a kind of wave is present.]

Pondering about the scripture and revolve your inner energy in specific wavelets through ones Dantian in accordance with the scripture will assist them in . Some cultivator's scripture will also include a breathing method.

A breathing method is essential as it controls one's Yin and Yang and make them one.
