Chapter 2: Surprises

'A System! I have a system! Hahahaha World Domination here I come!' Aaron couldn't help but yell in his mind. He knew from all the novels he read that having a system would make things 10x easier.

'Must be part of the reincarnated starter pack' he thought.

After laying there for a while he finally stood up and looked around. As he looked ahead the first thing that entered he vision was a lake. A massive lake with water so clear you could almost see the bottom. Out in the far distance a hazy mist could be seen swirling, the mist reflected the sun light and appeared to shimmer.

'How beautiful', he thought. As he continued to look around he realized that all he could see were trees.

All around him as well as bordering the entire lake, this was the first time he had so many large trees. All of them where thick enough that 20 people linking arms might not be enough to wrap around them.

"They're all as tall as Redwoods!", He yelled!

However, before he could take in the sight he noticed the leaves. These were the most beautiful leaves he had ever seen. So green that they burst with life, they almost appeared to shine like gems. Looking at these trees he understood that he wasn't on Earth anymore.

'Am I really in a cultivation world?'

'Does that mean that I have both the Ito-Ito and Hie-Hie no Mi?'. He thought excitedly then as if to confirm he tried to use his ability. However, nothing happened. One again he tried and again nothing.

'I was scammed! Not only did they murder me for fun but they lied to me as well!' Aaron cursed

However before he could get lost in his sorrow he heard a familiar voice.

[Host, worry not.]

'Oh right the system'

"Why can't I use my abilities?"

[System is currently initializing and is at 67%, once complete host will have access to all his abilities]

"I hope you're not lying to me" Aaron responded, not wanting to get his hopes up.

[Host need not worry]

"Well, I'll leave you to it then".

Suddenly he remembered that he had be granted a third wish and felt excited again.

"Luckily there's a lake nearby" he said as he ran toward the lake. Staring down at the water he suddenly froze.

"...." Aaron was silent, no words could describe what he saw.

"Oh my god! How!? Is that really me?! How can anyone be so beautiful?!" He yelled while shaking.

He couldn't believe it, when he asked to be better looking he was hoping for a marginal increase but what he saw reflected on the lake was young man, roughly 14 years old. He had light brown skin that seemed to glow, on his head medium length black hair that appeared to be shine. His hair fell over his eyes and it was those same eyes that had him stunned...gold, they were golden! It looked like someone had plucked the stars out of the sky and placed them in his eyes.

"Is this really me? " he touched his face as if to clear his doubts.

"It really is me...I'm younger!" he yelled unable to contain his excitement. However before he could lose himself a voice rang in his head.

[System Initialization Complete]

[Activating system panel, Activating Ito-Ito no Mi, Activating Hie-Hie no Mi]

Aaron smiled from ear to ear but just before he could he felt a sudden pain. Soon he found himself on the ground groaning. This lasted for roughly 5 mins before he could stand up again. However, there was no anger or dissatisfaction in his eyes. Instead it was joy! He could feel two power flowing threw him, he knew that he had actually obtained 2 Devil fruit powers!

Without taking a second to look at the system he plunged his hand into the lake.

"Freeze!" he yelled while channeling his new ability

Within less than a second an area of around 5 ft of the water surrounding his hand had frozen!

"Hahahahaha! Yes! Its true!"

Even though he had very little control and could only freeze a small area he was excited nonetheless.

He actually had Devil fruit powers and two at that! Just as he was about to try out the ito-ito no mi he received a message.

[Host, There is message that was to be delivered to you upon first use of your ability.]

[Would you like to hear it Y/N?]

Brought out of his excitement Aaron paused for a moment, 'A message?'

"Yes"

[Acknowledged, playing message]

3,2,1...

"Hey Aaron, Athena here", Aaron shuddered as he heard this voice. It was the voice of one of his murderers! However, this time he didn't feel as much negativity towards them. The message continued.

"You must be wondering what this is about, so I'll make it quick. When we spoke to you earlier we had informed you that you'd be coming to a world of cultivators, this is true however..." she paused

Aaron's heart froze, 'However, what?!' he yelled in his heart.

"However...Odin forgot to tell you that by gaining those two abilities, your body structure would be altered leaving you unable to cultivate the Qi of this world."

"Nooooo!!!" Aaron yelled, he knew it was too good to be true. A cultivator with Devil fruit powers and 2 at that?! That could break the rules! The message continued.

"Don't worry though, The abilities you have chosen will more than make up for you're lack of Qi. Also I've gifted you a 'Helper' to make your life a little easier. Ask it for help when you find yourself in trouble. That's all I can do for you, think of it as a favor."

[Message ended]

"Agh...There's always catch" Aaron groaned, however he wasn't that upset when he realized Athena was right. His Devil fruits would allow him to do as much as any cultivator...he hoped anyway.

"System, how do I interact with you and what can you do" he asked

[Initializing Overview]

[Host the system was made to help you survive in this world, host can interact with the system through thought alone. The system has 6 options for host to choose: Status, Map, Missions, Recruit ,Inventory ,and Store]

[Status shows you your current stats and level can be used on others, Map allows system to show 50 Miles of your current surroundings Missions allow you to gain points to spend in store. Certain missions allow for you to upgrade skills if completed. (Note Qi Beast Cores can be exchanged as well), Recruit allows system to teach others once they've been recruited, Inventory allows you to store items purchased from store , and finally Store allows host access to items from One Piece world (Your welcome -Athena)]

Aaron listened to this brief overview and had a general understanding.

"Its just like my novels...Status!"
