12 011 - Escaping (Ni Tian)

A figure could be seen trotting in the woods, breathing heavily. Blood could be seen oozing from the figure's clothes.

'Argh...', a groan of pain could be heard from the figure. The figure was Ni Tian, who had just escaped from the human monster.

She was grasping her waist, where through her fingers, one could see a horrific wound spreading from her waist to above her crotch.

She needed treatment, she needed help. It was still the middle of the night, only a few moments after she had escaped.

She made her focus on finding shelter. Somewhere she could rest.

As she limped in the forest, she noticed a crack on the side of a hill. Curious about it, she limps towards it.

As she approaches it, she notices that the crack she previously thought it to be was in fact a cave.

It was hidden as the entrance was behind two huge boulders.

Happy that she found some shelter, Ni Tian enters the cave carefully.

The cave was completely dry and empty, void of any semblance of life. Overjoyed, Ni Tian decides to spend the night there. But first, she decides to get a good grasp of her new home.

She enters deeper into the cave, finding a path to the left.

She holds onto the wall so she wouldn't fall. As she ventured deeper, the cave began to be filled with water.

Unwilling to get wet in this situation, she heads back to the drier part of the cave.

Ni Tian finds a dry elevated spot in the cave and sits down, leaning on the wall of the cave. She closes her eyes.

""Hahahaha... Hahaha""

The sound of laughter rang throughout the orchard. Two girls could be seen running after each other.

"Xiao Meimei! Stop running!", Laughs one of the girls while trying to catch up.

"No! Come get me, hahaha!", The little laughs and continues to run, suddenly her hand is grabbed. Looking back she realises that her Jiejie caught her hand.

"Got you!", As she grabbed her sister's hand, she pulled her back throwing her above. They both fall on the ground, one on top of the other.

"Hahaha, you lost again!", The elder sister laughs at her younger sister.

"Hmph!", the little sister pouts, refusing to look at her sister's face.

"Come eat!", the sisters both heard their mother call out for them, looking at each other, then laughing, they ran towards the sound.

Tears could be seen welling up in Ni Tian's eyes from her recollection of her memories.

So much had changed since she left. Her life had turned upside down.

Looking at her wounds, Ni Tian grunts rips off the bottom part of her dress and bandages herself. This was the best she could do in this situation.

Looking at the entrance of the cave, she begins to close her eyes.

"Crack!"

The abrupt sound of a branch breaking in half jolted Ni Tian awake. The sudden movement causing her to become nauseous for a bit.

Ni Tian could hear the breath of a being that wasn't hers, resembling that of a horse. She grabs her head while crawling backwards. She focuses her vision on the shadow in front of her.

The blurry shadow began to clear up.

It was a bear.
