4 003 - Survive (ii)

The three men approached Lei Ao.

'I can do this'

As soon as Lei Ao thought this, over 10 men could be seen on top of the slope. Lei Ao quickly looked for his allies, only to realise that he was the only one left.

The burly man was impaled by two swords, blood oozed from his mouth. Tears could be seen in his eyes, most likely from the unwillingness to die.

'All these men, they were probably farmers like me, forced to fight for a war we didn't want...'

Lei Ao clenched his teeth. He was alone. Alone against an army of a hundred.

'What is this luck?'

Lei Ao couldn't believe the absolute, complete bullshit of what was going on right now. He who had just transmigrated was already going to die?

'No.'

Lei Ao clenched his teeth.

'At least, I'll die with glory and pride!'

The adrenaline had completely taken effect. Lei Ao's senses were further heightened, no detail could escape his eyes.

He readied himself from the approaching army. Alone. One man against a hundred. A feat that no one in their right minds would ever want to experience.

Hhoooo...

Lei Ao breathed out. He readied his sword.

"Come at me you fuckers!"

He screamed.

"Ah! Watch your tongue, boy."

"You're by yourself, you heard me, you're by yourself!"

"We'll enjoy killing you, little boy!"

""Hahahaha""

They were mocking him. A lone man against a hundred? He had no chance.

Lei Ao glared at those who mocked him. So what if he was alone, so what if he was going to die? He was going to kill them, to rip their flesh apart. The bloodthirstiness of a tiger had clouded Lei Ao's mind.

The opposing enemies had seen what he had to do to their brethren, they started to encircle him slowly.

Lei Ao's eyes darted around trying to figure out who was the weakest one. Only then could he have the highest chance of survival and installing the most damage. He also made sure to keep note of the positions of those who had ridiculed him.

Crunch, crunch.

The slow steps of the enemy were excruciating, like a timer to his eventual death.

Everybody was serious. This was a matter of life and death, they all knew that at least one of them would die here, and they didn't want to become that person.

Lei Ao slowly turned around. He had figured out who was the weakest.

He entered his 'Seven Fists of the Tiger' stance.

Step, step.

Lei Ao walked forwards, then suddenly stopped.

"Hahahaha!"

He laughed.

His empty laughter resounded in this silent battlefield. The approaching men looked at him as if he was crazy.

Then, Lei Ao suddenly dashed. The encirclement they had formed had approached the 10 meters mark from him. Lei Ao's agility boosting him towards the enemy.

'Second fist, Nimble Strike!'

An unknown force enveloped Lei Ao's fist, his speed multiplied towards his victim.

Swoosh! Bam!

In under two seconds, Lei Ao had managed to strike the weakest link. Smashing his fist across his face. Killing him instantly. Lei Ao quickly activated the second fist again, further taking a toll on his body.

'Second fist, Nimble Strike!'

He fist blinked towards the man to his left, giving the illusion of a pouncing tiger. Striking his face, killing him as well.

After creating a hole in the formation, Lei Ao sprinted out of the encirclement as fast as he could. Using 3 strikes of the 'Seven Fists of the Tiger' was tiring him out more than expected since it was his first time using it.

"Get back here!"

The enemies ran after him.

Lei Ao had originally prepared to die after being encircled by the enemy. But with his enhanced vision, he managed to grasp the shadows of the approaching friendly cavalry.

As he ran Lei Ao thought,

'Those crazy bastards, looking at me like that when I laughed. Hahaha, now you are dead!'

Lei Ao was delighted at the misfortune of his assailants. Looking back, he sped up towards the approaching cavalry, he then heard the surprised shouts of those behind him.

"Shit! The enemy is here!"

"Retreat!"

"Hmph"

Lei Ao snickered,

'You think you can outrun horses? Bah! As if, and where would you run to? Your backline is already being engaged by my allies.'

For the first time, Lei Ao was happy about the tactics of the Everlasting Sect, at least he made it out alive.

He quickly approached the cavalry, holding up the insignia of the Everlasting Sect he had found in his pockets.

"Halt! Halt! Help me! Over here!"

He shouted.

Too-dun, Too-dun (horse steps sound)

Lei Ao was shocked. They had ignored him and headed straight towards the enemies. He stopped running, and quickly realised he needed to head back and following the cavalry, but by now the constant use of 'Seven Fists of the Tiger' had drained a significant amount of the energy in his body.

'Shit, guess I'll have to walk.'

Lei Ao turned around and walked towards the place he had just left. Lest he is marked as a traitor and killed.
