14 Finding Fatty

VICKI quickly scanned the books in the herb library. The information was shared with the Bridge Project people.

Kong Fang chatted with Xiao Xiong before finally leaving. Kong Fang took out a biscuit from his ring and had a walking lunch.

Around this time everyday Fatty could typically be found taking a nap near the lake. He did this every day to escape from some of his chores.

Fatty was known for being lazy but he didn't care. In his mind, every clan needed a fatty and he was happy to accept the position.

To Kong Fang's disappointment, Fatty couldn't be found near the lake. Kong Fang immediately checked three other places before finally find Fatty's father.

Fatty's real name was Su Quan. He was named 'Quan' circle suggesting the continuous revolution of lives. Unfortunately, Fatty spent his time tried to literally live up to the name by turning himself into a circle.

Su Hao, Fatty's father was the clan's carpenter. He headed every project and was a true craftsman. Seeing Kong Fang approach him, Su Hao sighed audibly.

"Sir, I have been looking for Su Quan, but haven't been able to find him," said Kong Fang. "Where have you been Bradley?" Asked Su Hao.

"I have been cultivating and avoiding trouble," he said straitly. "You avoided the trouble but it all fell upon Hao'er," the man said with slightly red eyes.

"Sir?" Kong Fang was confused. "Well you're here now, come in and see Hao'er," he said to Kong Fang.

Following the man inside, he passed through the familiar living room in his mind and went to the back where Fatty's room was located.

Walking through the doorway that was separated from the hall with a curtain, Kong Fang entered and was immediately shocked by what he saw!

The always happy Fatty from Bradley's memories was laying on the bed, nearly skin and bones. He was missing his left arm, and from the look of the covers, he was also missing his legs. His face was black and blue and one of his eyes had a patch over it.

"What happened!" Kong Fang exclaimed. This was the first time he had personally met Fatty, but from Bradley's memories, Fatty was like his brother. Kong Fang couldn't help be feel emotionally moved by the scene in front of him.

"He was found by the lake, it looked like he was tortured and left to die," said Su Hao who was holding back tears as he looked at his son.

"Why would they torture Su Quan?" Kong Fang couldn't help but ask. "Elder Su Jo's son Su Mo found him and said they suspected it had to do with you and your cultivation secret.

Elder Su Jo says when he found him Su Quan was saying 'I don't know about his secrets, I don't know, I don't know about Brad's secrets.' He said this over and over again until he finally passed out and he hasn't woken up since," Su Hao cried out. He finally let go of his tears. Someone had hurt his little boy and he couldn't help him!

That damn liar Su Jo!" Kong Fang yelled. "Liar, what do you mean?" asked Su Hao when he heard Kong Fang's emotional outburst.

"When did Su Quan end up like this?" Kong Fang asked. "It was around when you went missing and Su Jo claimed you were dead.

"That's what I thought, the fu$$ing bastard! He came to me along with the Clan Leader and they tried to enter my apartment with a skeleton key. I was home cultivating and Elder Su kept accusing me of stealing his things when he had the spatial ring my mother left me! He obviously thinks I have some treasure and he's been chasing after it. He even tortured poor Su Quan!" Kong Fang yelled.

He wanted to tell Su Hao the truth, Bradley Addams was already killed by Su Jo in his rage. After he cooled down he probably thought Fatty would know where his treasure was. The cultivation resources in the ring weren't enough for him. The greedy bastard!

However, Kong Fang stuck with the story he told the Clan Leader about the white fox because it was more believable. Kong Fang saw the grief on Su Hao's face. The man knew there was nothing he could do to avenge his son, Elder Su Jo was too powerful in the clan. Kong Fang was boiling in his rage.

"They've gone too far trope," has been activated.
