1 Shi Shen

Shi Shen was a normal servant of the Shi Clan living a normal life. Except he couldn't cultivate in a world where the strong rule. How could a 13 year old servant accomplish anything? His life could be disregarded as nothing in many clans and places. With being bullied everyday and receiving insults everywhere he went his life was full of hate. Shi Shen had always kept a positive mood as he didn't want to show them that he has given up and he also didn't want to seem weak.

He didn't even have parents as they were killed by demonic beasts in the wilderness. Shi Shen had always wanted to meet his parents but knew he couldn't as it was impossible to bring back people from the dead. He got mistreated more than the average servant because of what his parents did. Even he didn't know what they did but it was something that had impacted the whole clan.

The only he was left with was his father's ring to remember him. He always kept it with him as a reminder that his father wouldn't want him to be weak. His body was common but was unable to cultivate like the other servants because his meridians were broken since he was born. He didn't even have Qi! He couldn't afford a doctor and couldn't dare to waste money on even the poorest of quality pills.

As the days went by everything was the same but as the Silver Rank assessment was coming up many other servants were being harder on him. Shi Shen didn't have friends as anyone would be willing to turn their back on him to gain power. No one wanted to live as a servant forever. Even Shi Shen had trained his body which could stand up against the stronger servants who cultivated but it still wasn't enough. As the servants could cultivate they had the lowest rank cultivation techniques such as the "Low Silver Rank : Monkey Steals Peach Technique."

Shi Shen was prepared to score as the lowest again. As there were 5 days before the assessment Shi Shen had decided to atleast get a bit of rest. As he was resting his head had started burning intensely. The pain wasn't stopping even making him grit his teeth. The ring he hung around his neck was vibrating and emitting a faint blue aura. A silhouette of a person had appeared for a few moments before disappearing. As Shi Shen was concentrating on controlling the pain and himself he hadn't noticed it. The pain had started fading and thoughts had poured into his mind. He had understood things he never had known.

A cultivation method called the "9 Heavens Retaliation" had appeared in his mind. The cultivation method had criteria and Shi Shen was very confused on why he knew it and why he met the criteria. "The criteria for this cultivation technique that can destroy the heavens is that the user must have a body with crippled meridians. As the meridians and body shall undergo rebirth the user must have already experienced it."

Shi Shen knew he couldn't tell anyone and had quickly sat in the basic meditative form. "I have nothing to lose besides my miserable life so I might aswell give it a try. It's not like I haven't been almost beaten to death before anyways." He quickly made up his mind and had started feeling something in his Dantian. He had never felt anything like it before and had thought it was Qi. He felt it move in his body as his meridians had started burning. He was excited to see what would happen to his body after he was finished.

After what seemed like hours his body had changes tremendously. His meridians had been fixed and he had a faint glimmer of Qi in his Dantian. As the night passed he decided to rest. He had meditated for the next 3 days and his body had grown stronger with his mind becoming sharper.
