A New World

"You gave that girl who died the right system?" One of the occupants of the truck, Lee Dong, asked Jing Ling, his partner. They worked for the company known as the Transmigration Today Insurance company, created by the God of Fate himself.

They provided good medical insurance and pay, so he did not really mind killing people. The girl who had died had paid 10,000,000 good karma to transmigrate.

"It was the box wrapped in the red paper, right?" Jing Ling asked worriedly for he feared that he might have gotten something mixed up. His fears were proven shortly after.

"You idiot! The red box was the compensation for the girl we killed just now!" Lee Dong really wanted to cry. Was this what all those gamers when they said pig teammates are worse than a burden? They had to prepare to get punished by the God of Fate.

"Oh no, oh no, oh no!" Jing Ling yelled out and facepalmed as he realised the scale of the mistake that he had just occured. He could only pray that this would end in this favour.

Actually, scrap that. If he prayed, the God of Fate would know immediately. He would rather delay the punishment.

"Hi, I'm your unparalleled system. From now on, I will be taking care of your cultivation!" An unknown voice rang out in Shen Ying's mind.

"5 more minutes please!" Shen Ying shouted out, before she turned her whole body, to only feel the harsh gravel scrape her face. She felt a burst of pain, which immediately knocked her out of her groggy state.

"What's wrong with that woman? I thought she got ran over by that blue Ferrari over there?" Speaking of the driver, he was wiping sweat from his forehead, looking from the side at Shen Ying.

He had been talking on the phone, which made his high speed car crash into this girl, as he had not paid any attention at all.

As Shen Yi slowly rose up from the ground, the driver sighed with relief. It seemed that he would not have to go to jail after all. His father would not know what he had done today.

However, his expression quickly turned into one of shock, as the police at the scene of the incident arrested him without a second thought.

"Huh? Why is he being arrested by the police? The girl is clearly ok?" "Don't tell me the police are blind or something?" The police wanted to facepalm upon hearing what the passers-by were saying about them.

"What has happened was that the girl over here had bought Transmigration Today insurance, the new service provided by the God of Fate. Therefore, she did not die, through switching bodies with another world's person." One of the police officer took the initiative to explain to the public about what just happened.

"Ohhh, I see." "What a scumbag, running over woman in broad daylight!" The passers-by opinions about the incident rapidly changed after understanding the situation. The driver wanted to cry upon seeing people take out their phones and start taking photos of him.

He could not keep this hidden from his father now. He braced his mind, trying not to think too much about his cultivation privileges and his Ferrari being taken away from him.

Shen Ying had already opened her eyes, and was gaping at everyone and pointing at them. She was utterly shocked as her finger started shaking when she pointed at them.

She then realised something sticky was on her head. Putting her finger and swabbing the sticky substance, she looked at the crimson red substance on her finger. It was the first time in her life she had actually saw blood.

"Where am I? What just happened? Why am I here?" Shen Ying was in a state of disbelief. First, there were weird artifacts with eye-like holes that were snapping quickly together. Next, there was blood on her head. Thirdly, she did not recognise her body at all. Her hands were all calloused and rough, signs that they had gone through a lot of work.

She did not go through a lot of work before, as her father had assigned a lot of maids to do the hard and arduous work for her. She could not help but wonder what type of work someone had to go through to obtain so many callouses.

"It seems that the user has forgotten amnesia. Providing memories and starter pack as complimentary gifts from the system processing..." The unknown voice spoke once again in Shen Ying's head.

Suddenly, an influx of memories appeared in Shen Ying's head. As the memories merged with her own memories, she felt a tremendous headache, and fell to the ground shaking with a frightening intensity.

"What's happening to that woman over there?" Shen Ying could hear some people talking about her, but she was still on the ground incapacitated.

Two visible trails of blood leaked out from her nostrils, which showed that she was at her limit. After shaking for a few more minutes, she passed out, with foam forming in her mouth.

"Well, it seems like we still have to take her to the hospital." The paramedics who were watching grew excited about this turn of events. They did not waste their time here after all! Furthermore, they might be paid more for bringing this girl to Ye Tian Hospital!

They quickly moved into action, bringing out the stretcher from the ambulance, before gently putting Shen Ying on it.

They then put her inside the ambulance, and hooked her up to a medical ventilator and other machines, before boarding the ambulance. The ambulance started up, and drove away immediately.

"Why are the paramedics so eager?" The passers-by could not believe this turn of events. The paramedics were so happy at the girl's apparent misfortune. How greedy were they to be so happy when they earned money from someone's injuries?
