1 “Nice Beard”
Arron King was laying down on his bed enjoying his sleep when a sudden gust of warm summer air flew past his face waking him up.
Unwillingly Aaron got out of his beds warm embrace and closed his window with earnest.
Despite the warm weather Arron walked back to his bed and tried to fall back asleep.
Several minutes later Aaron opened his eyes unable to get back to the blissful state he was in earlier.
Knowing he wouldn't be able to get back to sleep he decided to try and alleviate his boredom by browsing through his phone.
After a few minutes of scrolling through different social media sites Aaron quickly got bored again.
He then decided to try watch a movie on a streaming website he had downloaded on his phone. Once again, shortly after he got bored.
He only had one last hope left. He opened the App Store and started looking for any interesting games.
When he didn't find anything interesting in the featured section so he then moved his finger towards the search bar.
Remembering a game he played recently called cookie clicker he started searching for games like that one.
He found cookie clicker somewhat fun when he first started playing but after a while it started getting boring.
He wrote 'clicker' on the search bar and the first result was a game called 'Cultivation Clicker'.
It was different from the other apps as the two words were not the normal black colour but they were instead constantly changing colours in a rainbow pattern.
When he clicked on the app he noticed that it was a limited time app that would be taken down from the App Store in a minute.
"Should I download it?" He was staring at the timer slowly get shorter.
"If I don't like it I can delete it later." He clicked the download button and almost instantaneously it finished downloading.
"Woah, that was fast." He thought as he went to open the app.
When he opened the app the first thing he noticed was a 2D cartoon version of himself sitting in a lotus position.
"How does it know what I look like? Maybe this is just an avatar that looks like me." He tried to reassure himself that it just looked like him but wasn't.
[Hello young cultivator. I will be your helper while you go through the tutorial] A dialogue box appeared on the phones screen beside an image of a beautiful woman in her twenties wearing a traditional Chinese Dress.
"Okay, lets start." After saying this Arron tapped the screen to further the dialogue.
[By tapping the 2D version of yourself you can gain Qi. You need to gain a certain amount of Qi to make a breakthrough]
"Pretty normal so far."
[Start of by gathering 100 Qi]
"Ugh...Fine, I'm not a master gamer for nothing." Arron said this while he repeatedly tapped the phone screen 100 times in a span of one minute afterwards his finger felt very tired from the constant tapping.
[Congratulations, now tap the button that says breakthrough and you will officially be a cultivator]
After tapping the button an animation appeared around the 2D character that looked like all the energy surrounding the avatar entered the characters body.
[Congratulations on achieving Qi Gathering Stage 1]
[Each cultivation realm has ten stages. The Qi Gathering realm focuses on gathering Qi into your body. After you reach Qi Gathering Stage 9 you will be able to breakthrough to the Qi Refining realm where you will gather all of your Qi into your dantian]
[At the moment you only have certain areas unlocked. More will be unlocked depending on your cultivation realm along with other stuff]

"Hmmm, to get to the second stage I have to gather 200 Qi" After reading the amount he was a bit surprised as the amount needed doubled.
He started tapping with all his might when at around the 100 mark he stopped. "It's taking too long this way."
After saying this Arron started using two fingers to tap. "Surprisingly it still works like this."
He was able to complete it in nearly twenty seconds and surprisingly his fingers weren't as tired as the time before.
"Breakthrough!" The animation appeared once again and when the animation finished Aaron suddenly had a strange feeling pass through his body.
The feeling was cold and warm at the same time. It was relaxing but also made him feel full of energy.
He was surprised but quickly shook it off as it only lasted less than a second. When he looked at the amount of Qi needed for the next stage it was 300.
"So it goes up in hundreds?" He started tapping the screen with everything he had when he realised he was already at 300 Qi.
"That was fast." He was able to keep the same speed for the whole time without slowing down at all.
When Aaron clicked the button that allowed him to breakthrough he felt a chill pass throughout his body. The feeling was similar to what he had previously felt, except it was stronger than before.
Aaron decided to stop tapping the screen and look at the other features of the app.
When looking at the screen there were many areas darkened. Right now only the store and the arena were open.
Aaron tapped the spot where the store was on the screen. The screen suddenly changed and he could see the inside of a store.
The store looked like an ancient store you would see in anime's. Surprisingly there wasn't any pop up showing what was in the store instead a button appeared allowing Aaron to direct his character where he wanted to go in the store.
After walking through a few aisles Aaron could see a range of different products ranging from pills to swords and spears. There were many different kinds of pills. Overwhelming Aaron with the choice he decided to talk to the shop keeper.
When Aaron was about to tap the shop keeper avatar the guide appeared again.
[Hello again, when you plan to converse with npcs please remember that how you talk with them will affect whether they do business with you]
After saying this the fairy continued on.
[If you have a good relationship with the shop keeper he might give you a discount while if you anger him he might raise the price]
Aaron was definitely surprised when he heard this but continued. When he clicked the shop keep he could get a better look at him. Moving from a third person point of view to first person.
The shop keeper was a short man with a very well groomed beard. When Aaron tapped the shop keeper a keyboard appeared on his screen.
"Am I supposed to talk to him like this?" Aaron was confused while thinking about how normally games would give around a set of three of four questions you can ask the npc.
Remembering what the guide said he started typing in the keyboard.
"You have a nice beard."
