Truth be told, his demonic heart energy was absolutely terrifying. If not for its tremendous prowess, the entire cultivation world wouldn't have banded together to try to stop it. Kong Xiang's soul form was writhing in pain, surrounded by black chains, and he was gradually becoming demonified. One could see he was in severe pain, yet resisting with all his might. Even Mo Nian, a demonic cultivation, nodded in respectful appreciation. Even at his weakened state, he was more than capable of instantly eroding a peak Soul Embryo expert, yet, a small lad could rely on his willpower to last this long. It was truly unbelievable.

A glimmer caught his eye, and he caught sight of an hovering golden orb. It was emitting a light that passively resisted his demon heart energy. It seemed it only got activated upon sensing the presence of an intruder, him.

"Incredible" He proclaimed as he sensed it. His intuition had been right. There was indeed a threat. If he was right, this orb did have the right to threaten his life. Luckily, he had been cautious and had made some preparations.

Quietly, he morphed into another Kong Xiang, bearing the exact same signature soul aura as him. However, there was absolutely no demonic presence coming from him. Instead, the demonic energy around Kong Xiang's true soul intensified.

This was his ultimate ability, Demon Heart Seedling. It allowed him to infect a person's soul and turn himself into an heart demon, transforming into the target. This was the technique that terrorized the cultivation world then, after he surpassed the 13th stage of his Spirit Refining Abyssal Canon. In the battles against him, he easily demonized took over the bodies of his targets. It had taken the Buddhist monks restraining this ability for his sealing to successfully be accomplished.

The golden orb quivered. Right now, the demonified Kong Xiang seemed more like the possessor than the possessor, Mo Nian. A smirk appeared on Mo Nian's soul form. This way, he was sure the golden orb wouldn't be able to distinguish between the real Kong Xiang, and the fake one.

At this moment, a powerful beam burst forth from the golden orb, intent on destruction and destroying all in its path.

The target was Kong Xiang's true soul.

Under Mo Nian's shocked gaze, he witnessed the beam hit Kong Xiang's soul form, destroying it completely.
