12 Growing

Erik had been unable to move in any way since he became a seed, but now he could finally take control over his "limbs". As a human would, he could sense and decide in which direction to go, but like every ability he obtained before, it was extremely slow. His roots would wiggle in the earth, having a lot of difficulties to move against all the mass resting on them, while his body and leaves would shake a bit. It was nothing good for now, but Erik believed that it may get better with practice, or when he would get B.A. points.

He had no more insects to kill, something which would make his soul energy level go up and give him B.A. points. It was because of the presence of Blaze the cat, but Erik didn't really care since it procured him a lot of life energy. Now, his cultivation process a bit different than before, the energy he took in would, as usual, go through the vessels with a part transferring to the core, but this process somehow changed.

Energy went to the core, then it would begin to spin around it closely without entering, as if it was attracted but rejected by the sphere at the same time. Every type of energy would form a distinct ring around the core, making four of them in total, symmetrically placed, forming an octogram if looked where every ring was overlaid.

When more energy was absorbed from Erik, those rings would grow a bit while spinning faster, it was making it all quite dazzling, but Erik didn't understand their purposes. He just cultivated anyway, it's not like it would be negative, even if he didn't comprehend it, it was surely the next step of his plant's cultivation process.

Erik didn't know if {Evolution analys} had done something after he gained it, but he didn't hold much hope from it and didn't want to arrange his plan around something so unsure. He practiced his body control and felt himself getting better day by day, as with every other type of ability he had. His perception seemed to naturally get superior as he practiced it, feeling more energy around him, particularly life energy. That made him realize not only B.A. points would improve him, but every type of training could also further enhance any skill.

He was growing quite quickly too, much faster than a normal tree would be supposed to, as his bark was forming, looking as if it was a bit boosted from all the life energy he took in. Erik was pretty sure insects could not damage him as much as before now, as this protection was much better than what he had before. Obliviously, if a beast like Blaze decided to destroy him, the job would be easily done. Erik could only count on luck and the protection of the ferocious feline for the moment, building up his strength every minute.

What were days turned into weeks, Erik was enjoying his tranquil life, forgetting all about troubles and pain, with the not so gentle Blaze that went hunting every day, he simply cherished the moment while it lasted. At the same time, he was starting to get bored, he wanted to actually do something, not just live as a simple tree for eternity.

While time passed, he had moved around the forest a bit. It's not like he was fast, Erik was advancing at a snail pace, but he discovered a bit about the forest. There was a lot of trees, but within a few meters radius from him, it was practically devoid of life, since it was also the habitat of Blaze.

As Erik moved around the forest, the dangerous cat was simply following him, the little tree did not have the time to move away much even while the feline was sleeping, Erik was simply too slow. He didn't want to lose Blaze anyway, he just wanted to discover more about the forest. But a lot of places were pretty bad, having a lot of gigantic trees, they easily hid the sun from Erik and took everything the ground had to offer, not letting other plants survive under them.

After some feeling kind of hungry, Erik moved back to the spot with the river, it was much more sunny and clear, with simply a few plants around. He really liked the place, a real paradise for any tree. What concerned Erik the most, actually, was the purpose of moon energy, which became only available when it was the night. Erik he had never received any news from its utility, at least until now.

For many reasons, telekinesis was a respected ability from a cultivator, who would have passed a long time enhancing his brain through the world's vitality or energies with some special and mysterious technique. Even if it took a long time, Erik was very pleased to receive something good like that without any other requirement than taking in energy. As he was planning on continuing his peaceful cultivation life, major changes were coming for him, a precarious situation had actually fallen over him.
