1a. Character Creation—Designing the New You!
Before you can begin on your exciting new adventure in Maiden Quest, you must first design an avatar to play with! Our in-depth, state-of-the-art character creation system, with its unmatched variety of playable races and customization options, is sure to provide you with the exact look that's right for you!*
* The player's race and appearance is determined automatically upon character creation, in accordance with personal data gathered by KARMA Corp. International Terms & Conditions.
1b. Playable Races
There is an incredible variety of playable races in Nirvana, each based around a certain animal species, including but not limited to:
Cat Cow Dog Dragon Goat Horse Monkey Ox Pig Rat Rabbit Rooster Sheep Snake Squirrel
Male player characters have a greater resemblance to the animal. Female player characters are kemonomimi.
1c. Starting Point of Adventure
A player's point of initial spawn is determined by KARMA Corp. International's patented Deep Karma™ technology, that determines a new player's starting location according to the morality they exhibited in their out-of-game experience. This information is gathered as per the end user's agreement with Maiden Quest International Terms & Conditions.
1d. Notes regarding In-Game Display
Player name and level will be displayed above your head only to those you have introduced yourself to. However, the name shown may vary depending on certain factors:
- Whether or not you want to conceal your name and/or level from others.
- If you are performing a job, acting as part of a group or organization, or serving in any other capacity not explicitly named here, your displayed name may temporarily change into an appropriate title so as to reflect this. i.e. "[Insert Town Name] Guard," "Telecommunications Officer," or "Slave Cattle."
- The displayed name cannot be changed after character creation.

2. The Basics of Gameplay
As a player, your main goal should be to have fun while gaining experience points and levelling up as much as possible!
Your only purpose in living is to gain experience. Never forget that!
Gaining experience points is possible through multiple means:
- defeating foes in combat!
- crafting skills, such as Leatherworking or Alchemy!
- engaging in a variety of social activities!
There exists a maximum level that one can acquire in Maiden Quest International, but it is not likely that many players will be able to reach it.
Said players who manage to do so, however, will be rewarded with incredible prizes!
