Attempted Murder Part 2

What can I do to stop this spell?

I've already shown them my abilities in darkness and electricity, and I've already spent a part of my mana.

I don't want my abilities to be known to everyone when my level is so low!

Both of these magics have no defensive abilities against water.

At the same time if I die now it won't make sense!

I have wasted time thinking too much. It's impossible to avoid the water spell!

I must at least free myself from the ground.

I bend down and with all the strength I possess, break the earth that holds me back.

At the same time, the spell comes upon me. Blades of water lacerated me all over my body.

With my previous wound, I lose a lot of blood!

My children's bodies won't be able to hold on much longer.

"You made the wrong choice, kid. You should have listened to me. Kids like you are killed every year. You still managed to surprise me. Not everyone owns an artifact with the ability to use an electricity spell. I'll get it off your corpse!"

Does he think I used an artifact? People with two elements are already very rarely seen. Artifacts with stored spells are much less rare. So it's only natural that he thinks I'm using one.

My vision's starting to blur. I take advantage of his monologue to create a sphere of electricity. I surround it with darkness to make it discreet. It flies away slowly. When it's high enough, it will explode.

There's too many of them! I can't beat them all, especially without a spell or some sort of equipment to stop them.

My chest is burning and I feel something stirring in my left arm.

Their leaders are throwing themselves at me to stab me. I barely avoid it.

I start having trouble controlling my body. My movements have become clumsy.

The blows are raining down in my direction.

The four people I had temporarily put out of action regained their minds.

I'm having a hard time to block their hits. I only managed to prevent them from hitting vital points.

My body is weakening.

I've lost too much blood. The little I have left goes to my head. I take a lookup in the air.

My sphere's still not high enough!

As a dagger approaches my throat, my sight turns completely red. I don't want to die again! A wave of huge anger rises within me and an evil aura comes out of my left arm. I can't hold back a powerful beastly scream that comes out of my throat.

From then on I have never remembered what happened next.

I was about to leave after I finished helping my parents manage the day's sales and purchasing.

When I saw a flash of lightning forming above a dark alley. It's near our auction house.

Normally people don't use their power in public without a reason. Especially since, in this case, it looks like a distress call. Intrigued, I went to the entrance of that alley.

She was standing there, completely covered in blood with her golden pupils glowing in the dark.

Five bodies lay at her feet and she was holding another one at arm's length.

I've never seen such a fascinating scene. This young girl can't be more than 6 or 7 years old yet she has killed 6 people who have tattoos!

Is she the one who sent out a distress call?

Before I could say a word, she dropped the one she was holding on the floor.

Our eyes meet. Her eyes are filled with blood.

"What... is happening?" Words can hardly come out of my throat.

The girl collapsed unconscious.

My body is moving on its own, rushing to catch up with her. Her body is covered with wounds.

Now that I have come closer I can see that she is wearing the magic stone my father gave to the young Guen Amboise. Her age and appearance match the description I have of her.

While observing the corpses, I notice that they are wearing the traditional clothes of the mercenaries from the Espor country.

The situation becomes clearer. They're probably talent hunters. It's strange they don't normally go after members of an influential family. Especially the Amboise family who are known for their political proficiency.

A member of her family or maid can't be too far away.

"HELP! The young lady of the Amboise family has been attacked!"
