1 Past - Wake Up

"Wake up. We're going to be late for the party." A girl shouted.

"Hmm?" With sleepy eyes, Regina turned her head to look at the person shouting at her.

"This is the last time I'm waking you up. If you don't wake up and get dressed right now, I'll leave you and go to that party by myself." The girl standing in front of Regina's large mirror said while straightening her hair. "Damn my hair, it just won't straighten up."

"Fine. Go by yourself, I don't want to go anyway. Leave me and let me finish my nap." Regina said while turning her head other side and closing her eyes.

"Hey, you can't do this to me okay, we agreed we'll go there together, now you can't just dump me. You have no idea how hard it was to get invitations to that party." Turning her head to Regina, the girl said in her frustrated voice.

"Hey, I did not ask you for that invitation. You just do not want to look stupid by going to that fancy party alone." While saying that turned her head to look at the brown-haired, pale skin girl with brown eyes staring back at her with an exasperated face.

"I did that for you, you know. I did not want my friend to die alone but you are so ungrateful." The girl immediately retorted.

"Fine. Just give me half an hour." Finally ending her evening nap Regina woke up.

Regina was in the senior year of her college. Since the day she has started her college life she had dated a lot of guys but none of them had last more than a month, according to her none of them gave her that perfect made-for-each-other vibes. So now she had given up her hope of finding that kind of guy and had started spending most of her weekends either sleeping or reading some novels.

The girl, standing in front of her mirror is her roommate Amy. Both of them become friends in the first year of college and from the second year they started living together. Unlike ambitionless Regina, she was aspiring to be a filmmaker. A few days ago when she was sniffing around a movie set, a crew member of that movie took a liking to her and so invited her to an after-party of the shooting.

"Let's go." After completing her light makeup, Regina said to the girl who was still in front of the large mirror but now trying various kinds of poses just like those models while murmuring something in an inaudible voice.

It was around 6 in the evening when they set off from their apartment towards their party destination. The weather was clear and the road was not much crowded and so with Uber, it took them approximately two hours to reach the house where the party was ongoing. It was given by a famous philanthropist who seemed to be a good friend to the director of that movie.
