6 Past - 4

"Well, I thought we would go on a vacation before I start work."

Jason's eyes finally held signs of life. He was animated and happy. It was a stark contrast to the lifeless man who had been sitting in the apartment for the past few weeks.

The resort was beautiful. Their drinks were always. There were large beautiful trees everywhere her eyes go. The sunsets were beautiful. It was everything she could ask for.

It was a great opportunity for Jason and Regina to revive their dead relationship. Regina remembered the day Jason proposed to her.

They had known each other for a long time even before they started that nightclub together. When they started that club they acted just like business partners putting all the unnecessary things or feeling aside and following some rules they made, but everything changed ever since she met that rich guy named Paul who came to their club. After that, she started going to his bungalow without telling Jason.

When Jason found about everything, he was furious at her. Regina felt really guilty for disappointing him. Later she agreed to never go there and they started doing business as usual. But it had not been even a month since that incident, Jason proposed to her. At that time she thought she had finally found someone who genuinely loved her even after knowing the kind of work she does, so she accepted his proposal.

At that time they were like one of those couples who could not keep their hands off each other. But as time passed, Jason's love for her started fading away, it felt like the romance between them died. She had even caught Jason masturbating in the bathroom a few times.

So Regina was thinking, this vacation would turn everything around.

They stayed at the resort most of the time. It had everything they needed. They had unlimited cocktails and food, and of course, unlimited sun. "I made reservations for this place near the dock. I heard it's nice."

"Off the resort?" She asked.

"Yeah." He buttoned up his collared shirt. "It has great reviews. It's near the shipping dock where they have the cruise ships. I've never seen one in person before. It should be cool."

"I'm excited." He smiled at her before he examined himself in the mirror. He was looking forward to it.

"Me too." Jason didn't want to spend the money on a cab, so they walked to the restaurant. She thought it was a stupid idea, but he insisted it would be fine. She could always burn a few extra calories, but she would rather spend a few extra dollars for convenience.

Hand in hand, they reached the restaurant without any problem. They had their table in the open so that they could enjoy their meal under the moonlight in the night sky and the twinkling stars while the trees there swayed in the wind.

The candle in the middle of the table flickered and cast a romantic aura in the dimly lit restaurant. Other couples surrounded them, vacationing just the way they were. Their relationship had changed over the last few days, she could even feel that in the air. They were getting closer, their relationship also solidifying. For a while, she was even thinking that their relationship had gone downhill but now she started to believe in it again.
