6 06 Annoyance

It is now night and Alice went home already. Rui is all alone in the house. At his room you could see him writing at his diary.

After a few minutes, he went to bed and slept.

The night ended and morning comes. A doorbell was heard which woke Rui up. He stood up and went to check who it was and saw it was Alice. He was thinking if he should let her in or not. The doorbell kept running and Rui just opened the door to see Alice with a smile on her face.

"Hi, Rui. Good Morning. It is time for school." Alice said with a smile on her face but Rui just closed the door after she spoke. Alice just smiled and left knowing that Rui won't be going to school today.

Rui went back to his room and checked his cellphone and saw unread messages. He thought it must be from his sister so he didn't bother reading it. He went back to sleep.

Rui woke up at lunch and he took a bath. After his bath he sat at the couch at the living room. Then, watched television for a few hours. Until, a doorbell was heard again. Rui didn't even bother checking who it is and just directly opened the door.

"I'm here for my job, Rui!" Alice said with a smile on her face, Rui ignored her and went back to the couch at the living room.

Alice didn't mind and just went in to clean. While she was cleaning she talked about stories that are happening. She never stopped talking even if she was ignored by Rui.

When it was time for her shift to end she said to Rui "Goodbye and good night, Rui!" And she left.

Rui still ignored her. Rui looked at his phone and saw a lot of unread messages so looked at one of it. It said that Jade won't be going home until the end of the month.

"Great, I will be alone with that girl for days." Rui murmured and went to his room. Wrote at his diary and went to bed. It was wednesday and it was almost the weekend.

This went on until Friday. Rui was getting really annoyed at Alice.

Saturday came. Alice went really early again this time not to say good morning but to work. Alice didn't have a topic this time to talk about so she started to talk about herself anything she likes or dislikes. It really was irritating Rui.

"Will you just shut up?" Rui finally could not take it and said irritated. Alice was shocked by what he said. "I don't care about your stories so leave me alone!" Rui shouted and realized that was harsh and saw that there were tears in Alice's eyes.

"Okay, I'll leave early today and will be taking the day off on monday since tomorrow is also a day off. Goodbye." Alice said with tears dropping from her eyes while she ran outside.

"Good job me, you made a girl cry." Rui said to himself with a bitter laugh. "I really am a jerk these days." Rui said to himself once again.

Rui went to his room and wrote on his diary and went to bed.

Morning came and Rui woke up early and opened the door and remembered that Alice won't be coming. It seemed in his mind there was a doorbell because of what was happening the past days.

Rui scratched his head and closed the door. He went to the living room. And watched television.

"I should say sorry." Rui murmured and continued with his daily life. Night fell and Rui wrote on his diary again and went to bed.

It was now Monday. Rui again woke up early and opened the door to see that Alice didn't come again. Rui scratched his head once again and went to the bathroom to take a bath.

After the bath, Rui put on his uniform and it seemed he was getting ready to go to school. He was ready to go and he opened the door and went outside. He locked the door and put the keys on his bag and called a taxi.

He arrived at school. It seemed he arrived in time since the gate is not yet closed. He proceeded to the classroom.

He is now at the door at his classroom and he opened it. He went in to see the shocked face on his classmates' face. He looked around to see that Alice is not there. He thought that she was gonna be late so he went to his sit. Nobody could talk to him because he had an aura that says 'Don't talk to me'

Classes passed and there are still no sign of Alice. Rui stood up and excused himself. He went to the faculty room and saw Evelyn.

"What is the address of Alice Ruby?" Rui said straight to the point to Evelyn. Evelyn was surprised but still gave him the address without asking question.

Rui quickly go down the stairs and he saw Beatrice Mael but ignored her. Beatrice saw him and was gonna talk to him but didn't because of Rui's look that says he is in a hurry.

Rui called a taxi and said the address to the driver. If anyone is wondering how Rui can afford a taxi always, let's just say he has a huge amount of money.

The taxi arrived and Rui got out of the taxi ans paid the driver. Rui was shocked at the house. Because it was so small and old.

He knocked on the door only to hear a child's voice. "Who is there?" A child's voice said. "Is this Alice Ruby's house. This is his classmate Rui Dia." Rui said.

"Oh, my sister is buying grocery right now. She said not to let anyone in." The child said while not opening the door. "I'll wait here outside then." Rui said and waited like he said.

A few minutes passed, Rui finally got the sight of Alice. Alice was holding a bunch of grocery so she couldn't see Rui. Rui went to her and helped her with her grocery because it seemed it was gonna fall. "Thank---" Alice was about to say thanks to Rui but stopped because she saw him.

Rui just smiled and said "Hi." Alice nodded and let him help her because it was really hard for her to carry it. She knocked on the door and said "Kids. Its me Alice. Let me in." Alice said and she knocked again. The door opened and four kids were seen. "Come in. I know it is small but please help yourself." Alice said to Rui.

Rui nodded and went in. "Please sit down near the table. Sorry we don't have any chairs." Alice said feeling embarrased. "Who is this Sister? Your boyfriend?" One of the kids said. Alice blushed and said "No, this is my classmate Rui."

The kids just looked at her and played by themself after hearing her say that. An awkward silence happens because of that. "These are your siblings?" Rui broke the silence by asking a question?

Alice nodded and looked down couldn't look at Rui at all. Rui sighed and said "I am sorry. I was a real jerk back then."

Alice was shocked and couldn't believe what she was hearing. She looked at Rui and saw that he was sincere with that apology. She was about to say something but Rui started talking.

"Why do you have to work? Where are your parents?" Rui said and the kids flinched at that question. Alice smiled and said "My parents passed away years ago. They left us 5 siblings and we have no relatives wanting to take care of us. We were about to be sent to the orphanage but I didn't want that so I took the school's exam. Because they said I could live on my own if I pass that. I studied really hard while finding jobs for us to live. This house is given to us for free by someone who gives charity. I was planning on renting an apartment but someone suddenly gave us this house with a lease and it changed my plans. It may be small but at least it is ours. That taught me something that I should give. That's why I have to work because we have no one left." Alice said bitterly and it seemed like she looked down because she doesn't want to Rui to see her cry again.

"I am sorry. I am really sorry. But why did you tell that to me. You could have just said something else as an excuse." Rui said feeling really awkward and feeling sympathy towards her.

"Because. You need help and you need someone in your life. You don't have to be lonely anymore. Let me be in your life as your friend. I said everything because I want you to know that I will never ever leave you. I will be there by your side even if things gets hard for me. I proved it once and I can do it again." Alice said looking at Rui and some tears are still falling but that didn't stop her from smiling.

"But why?" Rui asked feeling really confused and his heart is beating fast.

"You have an empty vision. You can't look at anything with colors. Like you lost something. It is like something is missing from you. I want to help you. Because I know what it feels. And I want you to know what it feels if someone helped you." Alice said while smiling at him. It seemed like the kids were playing because they knew that it was a conversation they shouldn't join.

"I, I" Rui wants to say something but couldn't find the words. "Don't think. Just let someone in your heart. Let someone be in your life." Alice said and it hit Rui. It made Rui think about Leo's words.

'Find someone' Rui thought and he looked at Alice. "Maybe, I'll try. But if you help me let me help you as well." Rui said and took his phone out. Alice was confused at what he said and was about to say something when she heart what Rui said to the phone.

"Sister. I will be letting 5 people live in our house since it is so big. I don't need your opinion just letting you know." Rui said to the phone that seemed to be Jade's number.

"Wait. What are you doing?" Alice said panickedly. "You guys will be living in our house. It is so big. So you can." Rui said with a smile.

"No. I can't accept this." Alice said feeling really shocked. "I'll call some helpers that will move your things." Rui said not thinking about her opinion.

"No. I will not live there. We will not. Okay?" Alice said now feeling irritated. "Oh. You will live there. Until you grow and find a job. For now. You can live at my house for your job." Rui said still with a smile on his face. "It was you who said you want to come into my life." Rui continued.

Alice couldn't think of words to say and was really annoyed. "How about this house? Won't it get demolished? Also, won't your parents say something." Alice said feeling really annoyed.

Rui laughed and said "Oh, it won't get demolished don't worry. Also, why would they say something when it is my house that I bought?"

"Wait, what?" Alice said now feeling confused at what is happening.

"Let's go. We'll get your belongings tomorrow. For now take your uniform and some clothes. Tell your siblings. I'll be waiting outside." Rui said with a smile and he left.

"Really, what a weird person." Alice murmured with a smile on her face. "Kids. It seems like we are going out today." Alice said to the kids that were playing. "Really? Let's go!" They responded without any questions.
