3 03 School

We start this chapter with Rui getting up at his bed.

Rui woke up from his sleep and get up. He went to the bathroom and fixed himself. After, that he went at the living room to see no one. He looked at the clock and finally noticed that it was already late. A note was seen at a table at the living room.

'Rui, go to school today. I went back to your aunt because she needs someone to take care of his son. There will be a helper that will be going to help you clean the house later since your sister can't do it with her time. That helper will be there for about when I come back.

Rui thought about it and finally thinks about going to school. He fixed himself, wore his uniform and finally called someone on his phone. "Sister. I plan on going to school today. Can you come with me?" Rui said to her sister at the phone. "What? Really? Wait for me. I'll just excuse myself from class. This is really important!" Jade said excitedly and ended the call. After a couple of minutes his sister came back and pulled him towards the taxi.

"Sister, why are you so excited?" Rui said confusingly at his sister. "Rui! It has been months since you went to school! How could I not be excited. The school only accepted you because of your old achievements and is willing to let you be absent anytime." Jade said to him feeling agitated. Rui just shrugged and sat quietly.

They finally arrived at school and it seems like the gate is closed. The school's name is First International Public High School. It seems it is the most well-known school at the whole world since one of the billboards say so. Jade spoke to the guard about the situation and the guard let them in when Jade showed him a paper.

They went to the faculty room at first to talk to Rui's Homeroom Teacher. After a while the homeroom teacher talked to Rui. "Hi, Rui. My name is Evelyn Emerald. I will be your homeroom teacher this year. I heard you got the Lion Badge when you enrolled here. Do you know what that means?" The teacher named Evelyn said to Rui gently afraid to scare the boy away. "No, I don't really care so I just threw it away." Rui said with no care about the topic at all. "It doesn't matter, the school still thinks you deserve the badge even after you are gone for about 3 months." Evelyn said to him and took his hand to look at something.

It is a list of names. Rui's name is at the top with a Lion Badge next to it. The names stated at the top are:

1st Rui Dia (1000) 1st year with a Lion Badge next to it

2nd Anne Mercy (392) 3rd year with a Rabbit Badge next to it

3rd Kiel Brien (387) 3rd year with a Dog Badge next to it

4th Alice Ruby (385) 1st year with a Deer Badge next to it

5th Beatrice Mael (384) 2nd year with a Cat Badge next to it

"Anyone who has a badge means that they are important to the school. You are the first person to ever obtain the Lion Badge in the last century of the school. It means you are basically the King of the school and you can do anything. That's why even with being absent for months nobody sent you an expulsion notice." Evelyn explained to Rui who was not even listening. Then, she took his hands again and took him to what seems to be a Rule Board.

"Here is the rules of the schools. With your status you can change it. Everyone really admires you here. Even the principal. Since the principal only took the principal's seat because he had the highest score in the last few years. Do you know the entrance exam that you took was also taken by everyone in the world in every age. The passing score to get in was only 30 but there are 1000 scores. You are 1st in the whole world because you took the perfect score. The principal only had 621 score which is the 2nd in the country and was 8th in the whole world with you at the 1st at both." Evelyn said to him about his achievements. Rui was kind of surprised and thought 'If he was here he could have gotten the perfect score as well'.

"Well, you don't really need to know the rules but still look at it." Evelyn said to Rui. Rui took a glance and looked at Evelyn again. "I want to go to class now." Rui said coldly. "Oh, let me take you to your classroom then. Your class is 1-S. The S class only consists of 25 students instead of the normal 50 students. Let's go." Evelyn said and took his hand again but before that she bowed towards his sister respectfully before they left.

The rules in the school was this list:

1st Rule: People with Badges are to be respected

2nd Rule: No running in the Hallway

3rd Rule: Never be late

4th Rule: There will be a exam every 6 months. Those that get scores that are at the bottom-line gets expelled

5th Rule: Respect those that have higher ranking than you

Evelyn and Rui arrived at the classroom and Evelyn knocked at the door. A teacher opened the door and Evelyn told him the situation. The teacher smiled and let them in. While they are going in Rui saw a familiar girl. Rui was surprised and Evelyn so his look and smiled. Evelyn thought 'It seems he knows someone here that is good.'

"Everyone I have an announcement! Your classmate Rui Dia will be attending class once again. I hope you guys be nice to him since he finally attended a day of school." Evelyn said to the class and looked at the teacher and finally left.

"You heard your homeroom teacher. Rui here will be attending classes from now on. Let me guys remind you. He has the Lion Badge. So be respectful." The teacher said to the class and the class responded with a "Yes, sir!"

"Your seat will be at the back near the window, Rui. If you have questions ask your seatmate. Her name is Alice Ruby she holds a badge like you." The teacher said and Rui looked at her seatmate and saw that it was that girl. Rui thought to himself 'So you go here as well. Maybe it was a right choice going back to school.' Rui went to his sit and glanced at his seatmate then stopped and looked at the window.

After a while, class finally ended and it was lunch time. The students at S-Class all were afraid to come near Rui because of his status. Everyone but her. "Hi, Rui. My name is Alice Ruby. Nice to meet you." Alice said with a smile on her face. Rui looked at her and replied with a smile that literally made everyone silent "My name is Rui Dia. Nice to meet you as well." Then Rui left. Alice was shocked because Rui seemed like a cold guy and he smiled at her. Everyone at the classroom was shocked as well.

Rui went to the faculty because he wants to ask something. He arrived and opened the door to find Evelyn. He found her and went to her. "Could I get a key to the rooftop?" Rui asked coldly hoping to get a key to the rooftop. "Of course. Here you go. You can keep that key." Evelyn said gently and gave him the key. After Rui got the key he left and went straight to the rooftop.

At the rooftop he just locked the door and slept there. He seemed to have the intention of skipping classes.

It seems that this school is very tolerant towards those who get a high score towards the exam. Even to the point that Rui become the most important person at the school. Alice doesn't seem to remember Rui at all. Rui seemed to remember Alice and is now beginning to become interested in something.
