2 02 Alice

The story continues, now we go to who the girl really was. What was his relation to Rui that she tried to comfort him? Let's start at a house. A small house.

Inside the small house is a 4 kids and a girl. You guessed right, the girl was the boy who gave the handkerchief to Rui. At that house was a lively bunch. Although, it seemed like it was kinda shabby since it seems small for them.

"Sister Alice, we're hungry!" One of the children said loudly to the girl it seemed that the girl's name is Alice. "Wait just a minute. I am almost done cooking." Alice said gently to the child.

"Okay!" The child said cheerfully. After a few minutes, Alice said to the children "Come at the table and let us eat our meal."

The children came to the table and sat at the ground. One of the children said "Rice and Eggs again?"

"I'm sorry, your Sister will find a part time job soon. Just eat this for now, okay?" Alice said bitterly at the children.

"Alright, sister." The children said and they began eating. It seemed they understood their situation clearly.

After their meal ended Alice took them to bed. The children were obedient and went quickly to bed. After, checking for a few minutes that the children are asleep Alice went outside.

Alice started walking at nearby stores and tried to apply for a part time job. Even after so many stores that rejected her, she never gave up. After a while she just stopped looking and start going back home.

Crazy how a girl could walk at dark by herself though.

While walking back, she saw a boy sitting near a house. 'He looked well-dressed so he must have been scolded that's why he is outside' she thought.

Alice was ready to walk through him when she heard something, a voice. Although not loud it could still be heard. When she looked around she saw the boy looking up and was talking.

"What is the meaning of my life? He said that if I am lost, look at the stars and they will guide you. Why am I still lost?!? What am I missing? I have everything. A good life. A loving family but why do I feel so empty? I have amazing talent but why don't I use it? Why did you have to leave?!? You were my guidepost! You were my teacher!" The boy said and Alice saw the emotions in his eyes and felt sympathy.

'He has a loving family but he feels empty. He lost someone and it devastated him. I know the feeling of something that is lost.' Alice thought to herself. Alice thought of an idea of comforting the boy and went to him.

"Cheer up, if you can't take it. Let it go and cry." Alice tapped the shoulder of the boy while holding a handkerchief and said to the boy gently.

The boy looked at her and cried. Alice didn't know what to do so she put the handkerchief in his hands and said "Everything is gonna be alright." And left quietly.

Alice then started walking home again and said to herself "I'll try harder tomorrow, hope that boy gets through his problems."

Alice got home and went to the children and rested there.

You guessed right, the boy was Rui. They don't have relation at all but Alice still comforted him because of sympathy towards him because she herself know the meaning of losing something or someone.
