1 01 Rui

A boy is standing outside a house at night, thinking. A boy that has black hair and cold-looking eyes. What is the boy thinking? What is the identity of the boy?

"Rui, come in and eat your dinner." An old voice shouted inside the house. "Coming, grandma!" The boy who was standing outside the house which is identified as his home and is named Rui said.

"Standing outside the house again? Don't you have anything better to do?" A girl was heard when Rui was going inside the house. "Sister Jade, you know better than anyone that I don't have any desire to do anything." Rui said bitterly to the girl who was identified as his sister.

"Whatever, let's go to the dining room and eat already." Jade said impatiently to Rui. "Alright." Rui replied with a cold voice.

The story continues at the dining room. It seems that the siblings, Rui and Jade isn't close to each other. Jade seems to be a person who is impatient and Rui seems to be a person that has no desire in anything.

At the dining room

"Grandma, I'm here." Rui said to the old woman sitting at the chair near the table ready to eat. "Rui, eat more today, okay?" The grandmother said to Rui as he was getting ready to sit down. The reply was silent because it seemed that Rui ignored her voice.

Jade was silent all this time and was getting ready to speak to break the silence when the grandmother said "Sorry, Rui. I know you have been through a lot. Eat if you want and don't if you do not want to."

"Yes, Rui. Also, you could talk to me if you want to. I may not be the perfect sister but I do care for you." Jade stood up and said softly.

"Thank you, grandma and sister." Rui said to them bitterly and that made everything silent again. "Let's eat." Rui knew that it was his fault so he was the one who broke the silence. So they began eating. It was a silent meal.

The story continues. Rui seems to have been going through a lot and his family knows it. Where is the mother and father of Rui and Jade is the question. Why is their grandmother the only one with them?

"I finished eating. I will go outside now." Rui said standing up leaving his unfinished meal. His grandmother and sister could only look bitterly at his display.

Rui went outside the house and found a place to sit. He was there sitting quietly and gazing at the stars. Finding some meaning.

Couple of minutes later, he started talking very quietly. "What is the meaning of my life? He said that if I am lost, look at the stars and they will guide you. Why am I still lost?!? What am I missing? I have everything. A good life. A loving family but why do I feel so empty? I have amazing talent but why don't I use it? Why did you have to leave?!? You were my guidepost! You were my teacher!" Rui said with emotions in his eyes.

"Cheer up, if you can't take it. Let it go and cry." Someone tapped his shoulder, and has a handkerchief in her hand trying to give it to Rui, said gently.

A beautiful girl was seen. She had silver hair and gentle-looking eyes. Trying to comfort Rui with her gentle look.

Rui who heard her voice couldn't take it anymore and his tears started falling. The girl didn't know what to do so she took his hands and put the handkerchief there and said with a gentle smile and voice "Everything is gonna be alright." Then, she left without saying anything else.

Rui sat there looking confused and tears are still falling. He looked at the handkerchief thinking if he should use it or not. He didn't.

After a while, he went inside his house and went straight to his room without telling his grandmother and sister. He put the handkerchief at a table in his room and went to his bed.

What really happened to Rui that tears had to be seen? Who was the girl? What is her relation with Rui?
