12 Inside the Facility 12

A faint sound of heartbeat, as Mandy come to her conscious state she feel numb. Bright light blinded her, as she scaned the her surroundings. She realized she was inside a glass tube. She catch a glimpse of the person beside her, it was Dr. William.

The doctor noticed her awake, he looked down on her. Recognition was shown on her face, which the doctor already expected. The doctor know she might be wondering why he's in here. But, he must do his work done before they do something bad to her sister. It's been a week since her sister was taken, he was furious once he know it. He discovered he was being watched by the heads of the research facility ever since the project started and they discovered their plan. So, they use his sister on preventing it to happen. At first he blamed himself on what just happen, he should have been more careful. But, he can't undo the time, so he agreed to their proposal. In order to save her sister, he must finalize the data and results of the research. He must chose between them, since after he give them the data and results he must also give Mandy to them.

She noticed him saying something infront of her, but she couldn't hear it inside. That's when he finished saying something, he leaned in her and gave her a kiss. Though it didn't touched her, she could still feel the warmth of it as if he was still concerned in her condition. She could not hold her tears to fall down. The gesture remind her of her parents, she missed them so much. She wish she could see them again even just for a while. She knows already she can't escape the place alone, so she realize there's no hope on seeing them again.

She was too engrossed in her thought about her parents that she did not realize Dr. William already leave the place. An hour later, a figure entered the laboratory which is unknown to Mandy since she fall asleep after the long cry she made. The figure turned to her, watching the peaceful face of her sleeping. When a faint light hit the face of the figure, it was Wendy wearing a hospital gown. She seems weak in her appearance and her eye was redish.

"I'm sorry brother, but I can't leave her with them" She pushed a botton and the once close tube open, a smoke in the air came out. Mandy's frame was exposed, with some cuffs on her arms and feet. Wendy turned the lever and Mandy was free.

Mandy suddenly feel the sudden movement in her surroundings, which made her awake. Smokes from her capsule still surround her vision, she's still clueless what was happening. Until a figure approached her, but she still could not see its face above.

"Mandy, I'm sorry... In behalf of the things done to you. But now I've made up my mind, I will set you free, you must hurry out before they notice this"

Wendy help Mandy from laying and gave her a cloth which will blend in outside. Even Mandy could still not see clearly the persons face, she understood what the person was implying as she recieved the stock of clothes which she immediately dressed it up.

While she's at it, Wendy installed a hologram inside the tube and closed the it. Once she ensured nothing was odd in the place, they immediately leave the room. Good thing the hallway was empty as they pass through, until they've reached the end of the hallway the door opened as they near it. The room was huge as they came out, there was several types of vehicle inside it. Mandy just followed the person behind, as if she trust her very much. They stopped in a white sports car, Wendy guide Mandy to go inside it. Once they buckle their self-up, Wendy started the engine and head out he Facility. They were traveling in a long tunnel, until they reached its end which is a falls of water. Coming out and getting further away from the facility, Wendy breathe out.

"I'm taking you home, Mandy" she smiled facing her. That's when Mandy recognized her, which she immediately embraced Wendy. Wendy almost lost her control, but she then recovered it.

As the long ride continues, they let themselves drowned in the conversation they longed for each other.
