1 Chapter 1: A storm of the dead

(Sho) Though you two still have a long way to go.

(Kaito) Oh really, and you don't?

(Hime(Thinking) Their already at it again.

(Sanae) Since that's the zombies are taken care of, what's next?

(Sho) Well Hime can't keep up her barrier from the outside so we should find where the zombies are coming from.

(Sanae) Okay then I'll stay with Hime while you two get rid of them.

(Sho(Thinking) So I really have to be paired with him.

(Sho and Kaito looked at each other fiercely)

(Kaito) Fine but don't get in my way.

(Sho) I could say the same to you.

(Kaito) Were leaving, make sure to take out any of the remaining zombies in the town.

(Sanae) Got it.

(Kaito and Sho rushed off into the forest. They immediately thought it was best for them to spit up to find something sooner. Sho saw a light and headed towards it. Though Kaito felt like there was something watching him)

(Kaito(Thinking) Whoever it is it's getting faster. Fine then let's see what you'll do now.

(Kaito found a small land out of the forest and stood in the middle of it)

(Kaito(Thinking) He has no other choice but to come out now and if he doesn't then I'll make him.

(A man stepped out from beneath the shadows)

(Kaito) What! Aren't you supposed to be dead?

(The man who arose from the shadows was indeed the former King, King Servil)

(Kaito(Thinking) I guess I play with you little bit. Though I am glad that these zombies can't use magic.

(Servil with his undead eyes began to attack Kaito. Though the attack didn't last that long as Kaito ripped his arm to shreds)

(Kaito) I thought you were a lot tougher. Well I guess not with that kind of flimsy attack.

(Servil arm began to regenerate rapidly like as if nothing had happened)

(Kaito(Thinking) So your different from the other zombies. Let's see how fast you can grow all of your limbs back.

(As Kaito was fighting against Servil's undead body, Sho went closer to light)

(Sho) This light is intense.

(The light started to settle down. When that happened Sho quickly knew what was going on. There were three magic users casting a spell. After the spell was cast the zombies rose from the ground)

(Sho) Sorry but I think I'm getting a little annoyed by these zombies.

(They noticed Sho and as they got ready to attack Sho already took one out)

(Sho(Thinking) I've gotten faster. Anyway I thought only Baki has the power to control the dead.

(Magic User) Please have we didn't have any choice in the matter.

(Sho) What do you mean by that?

(Magic User) He said if were to do this then he'll bring back my daughter. Sorry I know it's wrong but I just wanted to see her one last time.

(Sho) Yeah that is wrong though I'm not going to blame you for this mess. Although you three will be taken in for interrogation.

(Magic User) I wish I could but there's no going back now since he's already took a sample of our blood. As insurance so won't betray him.

(Sho(Thinking) I've never even met the guy and he's even more annoying than anyone I've met before.

(Sho) I see, then can you to me how you were able to use reanimation magic so easily.

(Magic User) It's because of the drug the Baki created. It can replace your magic ability to what you want for a certain amount of time. It's the same thing King Servil used to trick everyone about his magic ability.

(Sho(Thinking) Are you kidding me? So he wasn't just stealing our magic. He's been switching between them endlessly.

(Magic User) That drug had a unique response to King Servil's body. He was able to switch for three hours just by using one pill.

(Sho) This is bad. Not only does Baki have infinite amount of abilities he can willingly switch between them.

(Magic User) As I've said only King Servil's body could handle it but any one else won't even last a day with it. Though King Servil does have the ability to absorb magic but not use it.

(Sho) That might be why his body can consume something like that.

(Baki) Sorry but I think you've said enough, now die!

(Sho(Thinking) Where did he come from?

(Baki snapped his fingers and the three magic users began to implode. Before Sho knew what was happening blood splatted everywhere around him)

(Sho) What just happened?

(Baki) I see so your Shisui's pupil. I would end you but I don't have that much time left. So I'll ask you nicely. Where's Shisui?

(With a pale look on his face Sho's body became stiff)

(Baki) If you don't feel like answering then that's fine by me. What a coward. At that time I used to be just like you, a hopeless little kid. Though if your overrun by fear, then you'll endear the same fate as me.

(Baki turned his back and as he left. Sho thought about what Baki said at that moment. Sho got up and walked aimlessly)

(Sho(Thinking) I'm not like him I will save my friends at any cost.
